See, because they're in a fraternity, they immediately can't be trusted to tell the truth about anything.

not at all. but we do have 53 people who all swear there was an event parking sign...

you think the 53 people are lying because they are GB supporters, THAT is the crux of the issue. How is it too hard to believe that frat boys would be assholes? THEY DO IT EVERY FUCKIN DAY

in other news, Fox is bitching right now that there is still no TSA head. way to be fair and balanced guys... you might wanna mention that all of the TSA nominations have been filibustered by the pubs

^ Out of an event that had 100s of people attending it, are you telling me that you find it hard to believe that there are 53 idiots who went? I don't. And being that they were at a GB event, I don't find it hard to believe that they congregated into the same area.

53 idiots? sure. they could exist.
53 idiots that all went to the same obscure parking lot at random and ignored a towing sign? fuck no

i bet you could go to a lot of concerts, rallies, sporting events, etc and find at least 53 people who park illegally. in fact, i bet that you could find people who get towed at said events.

I think that 53 people are lying because people in general do not like to pay towing fees.

Here are some. I wouldn't say they are good, but I rarely think t-shirts with messages are. But if that's your thing, go ahead and be a tool.

not necessarily. it is very possible that one person started the trend, and others followed. this is hardly a new phenomena. it's just mob mentality. i'm not going to sit here and say that the people weren't hustled, (they very well may have been) but you can't just assume that they were, and it's a poor excuse to assume they were wronged simply because of the volume of people affected. it may raise suspicion. but it's just that. suspicion. i myself have parked in an illegal spot where i noticed otheres were parking as well (and i got a ticket...and i paid it). it happens. they should just cry to glen beck and ask him to pay the fees to stand up against this dictatorship! in fact, i might write him a letter pretending to be one of the degenerate little shitters.

and as an aside, i would generally think that a fraternity would be pro glen beck (but this is admittedly my bias that frats are commonly on the political right, which this one may not have been).

8000 people attended this Glenn Beck rally according to what I've seen online.

Let's be generous and say that they averaged 3 people per vehicle. That's 2666 cars. That number is being VERY generous IMO since these are Tea Partiers and, as such, will probably not be carpooling beyond immediate family (personal prejudice, but I think 3 seems like a good number to use).

53 vehicles is 1.98% of the total number of cars involved.

Also, the parking decks appear to be situated a few blocks away from the actual stadium (According of the parking map available on UCF Arena's website).

So, you're asking if anyone things 2% of the people driving to a Glenn Beck event might be willing to go and park wherever they damned well please while making up a story later to get out of paying their fine? I think that actually sounds pretty damned believable, but it's also pretty damned believable that a Frat pulled off a prank and got all their cars towed.

But claiming that because the number seems high at 53 cars is just kind of silly compared to how many people actually attended the event.

sure, 2% of the people may have been willing to park wherever they wanted, but consider this...

would 100% of those 2% all find themselves parking in the same lot? Not everyone is even approaching from the same direction, remember.

I find this to be highly implausible.

Occam's Razor would be an instructive principle at this point in the thread. The frat pulled a prank.

i would actually suspect the Frat guys to be right leaning GB sympathizers. Not all of them, of course, but as a culture.

Have you people never been to the fair? People park where they damn well please all the time and some get towed while others escape. These 53 people may have played roulette and lost.

Now that being said, if all of these people independently went to the police and said there was a sign instead of planning this then the frat boys are obviously lying

And that is not the same as wanting it "shut down."

Obama on the issue: “I don't always get my most favorable coverage on Fox, but I think that's part of how democracy is supposed to work. You know, we're not supposed to all be in lock step here.”

right, cause O'Reilly, Beck, & Hannity set the example for focusing on what they like instead of what they dont like
They are not consumed with attacking individuals and calling for boycotts, firings, and shutting down of organizations

^you just proved the point. awesome

you can't use a remote. you spend 8 or 9 hours a day on here trying to validate why want to shut it down 100%. they do this in some eastern european countries too. and they have a really progressive socialist system as well. you'd enjoy it.

1. I dont watch Fox News anymore, except to see what the baggers are consuming

2. Fox deserves its own thread cause millions of Americans watch it and regurgitate the same BS they hear, therefore in order to kill 2 birds with one stone, we choose to highlight the bias and the intellectually dishonest nature of the source rather than debate each and every retarded minion that Fox News creates

3. Conservative radio has been around for a long time, you dont see liberals spending a lot of time bashing them because everyone knows what they are, everyone knows Rush is full of it, but with Fox News idiots take them as a legitimate and unbiased news source and therefore are more likely to turn what they hear on that network into their own personal policy and sometimes their mission

So this thread is not so much, Shut Fox down, as it is, please dont come to me with your stupid arguments backed up by half truths you heard on Fox and waste my time
also when practically every conservative watches one network and mobilizes to marches and votes for whomever Fox commentators tell them to, then it is not longer a political debate between liberals and conservatives but between liberals and Fox News.
Fox News is the conservative/liberebuplican party and hence should be treated as such.

I've stated repeatedly in this thread that O'reilly is not an ideologue like the others, although he has from the start focused on personal attacks, and i've also stated repeatedly that olbermann is way over the top partisan and is not a good source of information
Why does the damning of Fox require me to answer for every other commentator on television?

If you want to compare, lets compare

i'll see your Beck,Hannity, and faux news shows to my Mathews, Maddow, and CNN news
