typea is just a dumbass troll. ignore him. yes I've gotten in that cocky mode. it sucks to be brought back to earth
10/4/2005 12:19:03 AM
There is no dumbass trolling about it sir.I got like that once. It was when I first started years ago with online PLAY MONEY poker.I can't help his choice of terminology lead to a mild dose of ambiguity. Next time I'll be sure to spend several posts tiptoeing around the intended meaning of what he was trying to say so that I don't sweep any more sand into your vagina.

I didn't know Foxwoods was the largest casino in the world until I saw something about in during a WPT event on TV.

I learned that the ability to adjust is probably one of the more important skills one needs at a poker table. I have become quite comfortable playing at a table full of people (8-10) where I can easily play position because in that setup I tend not to overvalue hands. It is in the smaller games when I rely on the strength of my hand in relation to the odds of someone having the same card I have with a stronger kicker where I run into trouble. Everyone knows what to do with AK and KK. But what do you do with highcard/lowcard of the same suit or an Ace with an okay kicker 4 handed? Usually I would fold these types of hands unless I was in a spot where I could confidently call (based on what people did before me) but I feel that I must some how get in a pot with a overvalued hand simply because I think many of the other players are doing so also. I know it sounds simplistic but I am trying every aspect of my play, no matter how mudane and insignificant it may seem.

10/4/2005 6:11:50 PM
how does AK vs QQ vs JJ rank pre/post flop (guess i need to dig out hand history)just placed 5th in a 45man sng. stupid fun bullshit 1.00+.20What confuses me(percentage wise) I know i'm dominated, just now how badly i had 2 over cards on both them, why did the QQ have to hit their set, couldnt a K or A drop instead
10/4/2005 6:28:33 PM
hmmmmmm.....talking to support now about this hope to get the buyin refunded[Edited on October 4, 2005 at 6:39 PM. Reason : .]
10/4/2005 6:29:21 PM
DAMN! Quad Kings vs Quad Aces! I've never seen that live or online.
10/4/2005 7:59:03 PM
^ you're peeping the "winning" hand, not the community cards.
10/4/2005 8:14:07 PM
AH! Ok my bad
10/4/2005 8:37:51 PM
yeah, and I'm guessing the problem you were talking about is the person that had KKKAA somehow beat the person that had AAAKK?I've never even seen that program anyway...weird
10/4/2005 8:57:11 PM
^yeah he had rockets and got d/c therefore folded his hand due to time out.i think.
10/4/2005 9:18:43 PM
yeah, disconnected though my internet was still working. it sucked ass. they are possibly going to refund my buyin
10/4/2005 9:32:33 PM
^how much was that ?
10/4/2005 9:34:23 PM
the equivalent of $25. it was in their rounders tournies so it was basically a $25 token
10/4/2005 9:41:24 PM
got to the end of a multi table, 4 people left. i was 3rd place at that point. had Q10o. flop came 5 9 10. chip leader (had like 10x my chips) bet out half my stack. he was SB and just called at first, so i figured he had a pair (if anything) and was stabbing at it so i called. i was gonna go all in but i knew he'd call anyway, was kinda worried he might have an overcard too. next card out was a 2. he put me all in just like i knew he would. i called
10/5/2005 1:28:19 AM
I would have gotten 4th too
10/5/2005 1:33:08 AM
good, i feel validated now only regret i have is that i was talking shit about doubling up through him, cause he was playing like a total fucking douchebag, i sat through like 2 tables worth of his insane raises
10/5/2005 1:36:44 AM
motherofgod
10/5/2005 5:27:16 AM
um. isn't the doyle brunson 10 3. not that it matters, that sucks.
10/5/2005 5:48:49 AM
no he's 10-2if you're referring to the one where he wins the wsop with 10-3, he talks about at the beginning of the hand he wishes he had his normal 10-2
10/5/2005 6:19:45 AM
i wonder how much money people have lost playing the "doyle brunson"
10/5/2005 7:32:42 AM
10/5/2005 7:36:59 AM
KOL... sorry dude. That was still the toughest call i ever made. But the last hand of the night/morning was the WORST beat i've seen in a long long time3 handed game, 25/50 blindsdealer/utg (me) have ~$155SB has about $250BB has about $75I fold... SB makes it $5 to go. BB calls.Flop: 10 8 3 Rainbow. SB Bets ~$10... BB Raises $10 more. SB Goes all in. After about 30-45 seconds of consderation, he calls.SB flips AABB Flips 8 4 suitedTurn J River 4Moronically brutal. This guy had been making the same play all night. Raising with crap and hitting. Or calling down with bottom/no pair and catching. All the while talking of how he had great reads on us (Though he reraised me earlier when i had quad 8s, and already had another caller in the hand to my bet on the river - when he had A high), knew our tells, and he had won a shiton of money elsewhere. I've played with him 2 times and never seen him win with a "big" hand. It's always like this... How the SB didn't deck him, I haven't figured out yet, as I surely would've.[Edited on October 5, 2005 at 8:45 AM. Reason : a]
10/5/2005 8:40:04 AM
lol, so who knew you can only use 3 community cards in plo8O_o
10/5/2005 12:54:25 PM
i've just discovered the wonders of $1/$2 limit, so i don't think i'll be going back to $.50/$1 anytime soon
10/5/2005 12:59:49 PM
^1/2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> .50/1.00too bad my bankroll isn't big enough right now to sit back at 1/2
10/5/2005 1:17:42 PM
its great cause people don't fish as much and the payoff is much bigger. i went from about $36 to $100 in 20 minutes
10/5/2005 1:33:41 PM
yeah i sat with my last 25 bucks and left with about 80 or 90then proceeded to lose it all in sng's and more ring games
10/5/2005 1:46:35 PM
I've had a lot of bad beats the last four times I've played poker..All w/ people who didn't know what they were doing... lolThe funniest one so far was...Guy makes a medium raise pre-flop.I was already in w/ my A-J suited and I call along w/ a few other people. This guy was the biggest stack at the table and I was second biggest stack. He was also the worst player at the table. Ironic how that works out... So flop comes A 7 9 (rainbow) and the guy sits there and stares at the flop FOR-EV-ER... and finally says "I'm all in!!"Well this is free poker so I didn't contemplate too long and I call.Turn (no difference)River... 3.He says! "Man that's great!!!! I am soooo good at poker!!!!! I rule!!!"Turns over pocket 3s. I simply ask him: "Wanna play a cash game?"
10/5/2005 2:21:48 PM
it really is ridiculous how some people can suck so bad and get so lucky. you really have to play with people like that consistently in order to make money off them so the odds play in your favor
10/5/2005 2:26:04 PM
last night"free poker" at The Point on Glenwoodsix-handedmiddle possition, i get pocket 4si limped in, blinds and one caller in front of mewith three in the pot, the cut off raises from 400 to 1200 (he's a spuratic player and often raises with random bs that i wouldn't limp with)everyone calls, maybe a blind folded...i don't rememeberflop 4x,5c,9c1st betsi raise ... get re-raised ... original pre-flop raiser folds ... 1st calls ... i move all in ... and they both call.so, yeah, one is on the nut flush draw with Ac, 10c, but my all-in was a lot...i wouldn't have expected him to call. and the other caller (1st) has A,9 os, so, just top pair on the board.anyhow, i dodged the flush...and picked up the case 4 on the turn. it was huge.i think that was maybe the third or fourth hand i had played after three rounds of blinds. i nursed my chips, made a couple of good calls, couple of bad calls ... but ended up winning. yay. fear the 4s!
10/5/2005 2:32:40 PM
accnt specific party reloads.
10/5/2005 3:02:42 PM
^^ Props!Let me ask y'all another question.... in your live games, have you ever seen one person completely own another person. No matter what they have, they always can get the other on tilt and take his money. The person who was listed as the recipient of the bad bead from ^10 or so ago tosses my neighbor around like a rag doll. It's not all luck, like he gets outkicked or suckedout. But he perfectly advertises his bluffs, and sets him upf or the kill, and always get him to bet into the nuts.Last night it was the strong player rebuying after a brutal beat for $40 that put him on tilt. He was so afraid of him having more chips than he did, that he pissed away his $ in 10 hands, including going all in for over $10 preflop with 6 9 suited. Last week he whined like a little bitch when the strong player called to come over late after leaving another game. But I am almost convinced that he could play all his hands against my neighbor face up, and still completely dominate him. He should just hand the stong player $40 every week and let him kick him in the balls.[Edited on October 5, 2005 at 3:10 PM. Reason : d]
10/5/2005 3:10:11 PM
Why are ya being a suckup today Sean?
10/5/2005 3:18:08 PM
I'm not sucking up. Anyone who watches 10 hands in the game that they're in would say the same thing.
10/5/2005 3:23:09 PM
i approve of your first name
10/5/2005 3:29:38 PM
Ah but the way you talk about the poor "weaker" player...You would think this isn't just a poker thing, but a man-to-man kind of battle. That's just referencing...
