seattle mike williams is making some bad ass catches
10/24/2010 6:46:27 PM
I will not be a happy camper if I lose with Run DMC on the bench.I am getting sick of having to add up the score myself b/c ESPN is Yahoo-ing the scoring of SD-NE up. Crayton has 81 receiving yards already and Branch has 39 yet both are showing up as scoreless.[Edited on October 24, 2010 at 6:50 PM. Reason : .]
10/24/2010 6:46:56 PM
Right now I have to make up 20 points with Roy Williams and Felix Jones, so I'm going to be pissed if I lose with McFadden sitting on the bench.
10/24/2010 6:50:43 PM
Left DMC on the bench but have a 44.5 point lead. My opponent has Adrian Peterson @GB, Miles Austin vs Giants, Bradshaw @ Cowboys. I think Crayton and Branch have 10.5 points yet to post, so hopefully 55 points is enough. I'd have an ~80 point lead if I had put McFadden in though.
10/24/2010 7:18:53 PM
I'm down by 8........I have adrian peterson.......he has harvin, jennings and romo
10/24/2010 7:24:26 PM
Wow, had a pretty solid week, as in the 2nd most points in my league with Greg Jennings and Randy Moss to play. Unfortunately I ran into the ass kicking of the week by Roddy White, Carson Palmer, Michael Turner and Darren McFadden.
10/24/2010 7:29:37 PM
I benched McFadden for Deangelo Williams. 43 points to 4 points. FML.Luckily Kenny Britt got me 40 points so I'm up by 30, he's got Aaron Rodgers left and our defenses play each other (Min and GB).
10/24/2010 7:31:32 PM
Should have played Gates...I'm down huge, but I've still got 5 guys going tonight and tomorrow. Chris Johnson has been inconsistent for me all year. I can't complain, because he's my highest scoring player. In my other league...I'm down 40 and have Nicks going tomorrow. Ouch.
10/24/2010 8:00:00 PM
I have to pick up a rb for next week but I like all of my players and dont wanna drop anyone, which of these would you drop:mike wallaceeddie royalronnie browndanny amendola (return yards count)mike williams tbdeion branch
10/24/2010 10:59:09 PM
0h well....eeked out a 52 point week somehow....janikowski and adrian got 1/3 of my points by themselves. Oh well, 5-2 and still #1 in my league....lets keep pushin(and hurry back desean jackson )
10/24/2010 11:36:49 PM
Lost 2 games because I sat Mcfadden Still looking pretty good though, 5-2, 5-2, 5-2, 4-3.[Edited on October 25, 2010 at 4:21 AM. Reason : ]
10/25/2010 4:19:06 AM
thank you everyone who told me not to start RunDMC.... Luckily I still won, but I coulda used the total points that 3 rushing and 1 receiving td's coulda given me... shit- well at least I know he's back![Edited on October 25, 2010 at 7:22 AM. Reason : bb]

Good lord in one of my leagues I am staring another loss and a 0-7 record. I've never finished worse than .500 ever in a fantasy league. I have had over 900 pts scored against me and no one else in the league is even at 725 pts against them. The high score for the week has been played against me 6 out of 7 weeks. Is the Bills WR S.Johnson for real? Dude has scored 5 TDs in his last 4 games. I got waiver claims on him in two leagues.
10/25/2010 8:29:52 AM
Alright, trade got proposed to me, I don't really know if I should take it or not. I don't think it's bad, but I have no real reason to accept it either.I give: Chad OchocincoI get: Ricky Williams and Robert MeachemMy other WRs (start 3) are Andre Johnson, Braylon Edwards, Davone Bess, and Devin Hester (probably cut now that my byes are done)My other RBs (start 2) are Cedric Benson, Cadillac, Pierre Thomas, Fred Jackson, and Darren Sproles (also probably cut now)I just don't know that I'd start either of the guys that I'd be getting unless somebody's injured, and 85 starts for me every week right now. any thoughts?
10/25/2010 9:20:24 AM
^^ I would certainly take a flyer on Steve Johnson; he seems to be Fitzpatrick's go to guy and sense Fitzpatrick has started for Buffalo the Bills are averaging 352.25 yards per game as well as 26 points per game. With the defense there in complete disarray they will seemingly always be in shootouts^ No way in hell I'd take that trade, you aren't gaining anything at all while losing the best player in the trade[Edited on October 25, 2010 at 10:17 AM. Reason : ^]
10/25/2010 10:15:33 AM
I wouldnt make the trade either. It doenst do anything for you. Ricky Williams is good for about 4 points a week and should ever start for you. Meachem is so unpredictable you cant confidently throw him in your lineup either.
10/25/2010 10:25:47 AM
who else had Kenny Britt on the bench this week?
10/25/2010 4:27:07 PM
i had him starting in one of my leagues, then 30min. before kickoff, benched him in favor of Hines Ward because of the report about Britt not starting due to the brawl. i see a pattern in this... like Arian Foster not starting earlier this season and had a record day.
10/25/2010 5:07:32 PM
^In one of my leagues he wasn't even on a team...so I picked him up yesterday after he went off. Hoping it pays off.
10/25/2010 5:07:35 PM
i almost lost this week to some dude who had DMC & Moreno, I still won by 1 point in my work league, some guy had Britt starting and had 2 players on BYE and 2 empty spots on his roster and still beat his opponent. he was 0-6, now he'll be 1-6, lol.[Edited on October 25, 2010 at 5:48 PM. 10/25/2010 5:48:10 PM
Kolb is officially benched and Vick will be the starter after the bye week- good news for those of you with Vick! and for philly fans too... that offense will start moving again.
10/25/2010 8:01:58 PM
ugh, had Britt on my bench....only up 9 pts and my opponent has Roy Williams left tonight...looks like my second straight Loss.
10/25/2010 8:37:44 PM
From ESPN:Reggie Bush (leg) has been cleared to play Sunday against Pittsburgh, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Bush said he is close to 100 percent, but has yet to test the leg in a live practice situation.
10/25/2010 9:48:34 PM
I have/had Ryan Grant, Jermichael Finley and Tony Romo on my squad. If I had any chance before, it's gone now.
10/25/2010 10:24:18 PM
^Ouch...that's rough. My only major injury this year, in my two leagues, has been Dallas Clark. Knock on wood.
10/25/2010 10:32:33 PM
I've got Romo at QB and Favre as the backup. Fuck.
10/25/2010 10:53:11 PM
This is the week of the no-name receiver.Have dez bryant and steve johnson on my bench
10/26/2010 12:09:14 AM
so glad i started Dez instead of Louis Murphy
10/26/2010 12:34:03 AM
I wouldn't really call Bryant a no-name receiver...
10/26/2010 8:57:27 AM
Had Romo at QB, no backup on my bench at the moment...what option for a pick up should I take?1) Kitna (Veteran [albeit an unspectacular one], good receiving corps, but looked rusty at times last night)2) Freeman (Has put up solid, but non-flashy numbers so far...on the verge of a breakout?)3) Fitzpatrick (Great numbers so far, but I feel like the mediocrity of Buffalo's offense will soon catch up to him)4) Chad Henne (So long as the run game isn't stealing the show, he's put up decent numbers, but is mistake-prone)5) Mark Sanchez (Decent start to the season, but has had sub-par games the last two outings)There's a possibility I could make a trade for Eli Manning soon, but I'm thinking of holding off on that one for a week since I play his owner this week, and would rather not unnecessarily strengthen them.
10/26/2010 9:18:21 AM
^ Matt Cassell has a good matchup next week as well if he is available. He wont score alot but he has been scoring consistently with very few mistakes.
10/26/2010 9:32:24 AM
The 5 listed are the top available on our waiver wire, so the ones listed are the entirety of my choices, outside of a trade.
10/26/2010 9:34:33 AM
I'd pick Fitzpatrick out of those 5. I'd rank them in this order, and only for the short-term:1. Fitzpatrick - they have to pass because they're often down and he has played well.2. Kitna - He has the ability, last night he was a little rusty but still found the endzone. Ton of weapons at his disposal.3. Freeman - Sometimes has to throw often when down and also gets some nice rushing yards. Usually takes care of the football. I have him in my 2 QB league and he's been great so far.4. Sanchez - Can have big weeks, can have low weeks, depends on how they want to score. One week they score 3 rushing TDs, next week Sanchez gets a couple of short passing TDs to Keller or LT.5. Henne - B. Marshall made me want to rank him higher, but this team is built for low scoring affairs with a strong defense, decent running game, and primed to kick a lot of FGs.
10/26/2010 9:43:10 AM
1st place in my 16-person league
10/26/2010 11:29:13 AM
I'd go with Fitzpatrick too, but wouldn't be surprised if Kitna put up decent numbers. Coming into the game last night, NYG had one of the best pass D's in the NFL
10/26/2010 11:34:43 AM
3-4 in both leagues. Damn.Pick 2 WRs (3rd is Austin...he's a lock):Driver, Mike Wallace, Lance Moore, Kenny BrittAnd 1 RB:Reggie Bush (probably too soon to start him, although he is cleared to play), Lynch, Felix JonesAnd in second league pick 1 for my RB/WR spot:Lynch, Mike Williams, or Amendola (you do get points for returns)leaning towards Mike Williams...[Edited on October 26, 2010 at 12:11 PM. Reason : aa]
10/26/2010 12:05:01 PM
Gotta go Mike Wallace and Britt. Would've said Moore but they are playing against Pitt and Bush is probably going to be back.Would take Felix Jones due to matchup and the probability that Garrett will pull back the reins on his passing game since Romo is out.Which Mike Williams are you talking about, but would probably pick either over the other options.
10/26/2010 12:41:33 PM
^Seattle...sorry. And yes I agree with basically everything you said...was mainly looking for some reassurance.
10/26/2010 12:59:16 PM
top wr waiver pick up for the week: steve johnson, david gettis or blair white?
10/26/2010 3:32:51 PM
Steve Johnson, hands down. He was gone about 3 weeks ago in both of my leagues
10/26/2010 4:00:06 PM
Blair white, while interesting because he plays for the Colts, is a #4 WR as long as Gonzo is healthy, which new reports confirm that he is.If there was any Colt I would go after, it would be Donald Brown. B/C of the bye week, the Colts RB issues have been under the radar. Addai could be in trouble with this shoulder injury.
10/26/2010 4:17:33 PM
Looking for some thoughts on this trade:I get:Michael TurnerGive:Greg JenningsOther receivers are Randy Moss, Reggie Wayne, Hines Ward. Running backs are Torain, Steven Jackson, and Jahvid Best.Just trying to make sure that I should I take this trade, and that I'm not overlooking something
10/26/2010 4:24:14 PM
^ I'd definitely do it considering your WR depth and the need for another must start RB on your team. I'm surprised the guy is not asking for one of your lesser RBs along with Jennings.[Edited on October 26, 2010 at 4:49 PM. Reason : s]
10/26/2010 4:49:17 PM
^ Well he has L.T, McFadden and Cedric Benson, so he isn't too worried about another RB
10/26/2010 5:13:31 PM
Trade offer:I give Mendenhall, I get Roflcopter.Current RB's are Jones-Drew, Benson, McFadden, Mendenhall, and Woodhead.Current QB's are Matt Ryan and Jay Cutler.I'm a little reluctant because we're currently tied for 3rd and he's pretty weak at RB, so I don't want to make his team any stronger. What say you?
10/26/2010 5:58:01 PM
^ who are your qbs? I think you should be able to get more for Mendenhall than simply a qb, are you weak at WR or TE too?
10/26/2010 6:04:45 PM
alright so romo's out, and vince young is my backup just got proposed rivers for greg jennings, but my other receivers are crabtree, gettis, lee evans, and meachem. thoughts?
10/26/2010 8:31:56 PM
if those are your other WRs, i'd keep Jennings and run Vince, assuming he's back healthy again, I havent been following
10/26/2010 8:35:57 PM
my TE (Tony Gonzalez) is out so I need to pick up eitherOwen DanielsorVinsanthe Shiancoethoughts?
10/26/2010 8:38:48 PM
While I like Daniels, I'd probably lean towards Visanthe just because if Favre doesn't play, backup QBs usually like to use their tight end safety valve a little more often
10/26/2010 8:39:53 PM
