i thought it was the best episode in a while. glad the smoke-monster storyline is over ( I hope)...I'm hoping that Alcide comes back with a vengeance and I really hope eric ends up beating up the new sheriff and reclaiming his area

^^ I was referring to both of elkaybie's points. Posted who killed Sookie's parents in the book series, but I've been asked to edit! If you want to know, PM me![Edited on August 7, 2012 at 9:24 PM. Reason : ]

The scene with Jessica glamoring Hoyt was so

what the hell was that shit with Godric and Lillith?

I'm sad about Hoyt -- he was one of the few rational people on the show. If he does end up leaving the show I don't want him to come back. It would take away from his character if he just came back next season after somehow remembering everything and acted like the glamoring just never even happened.I'm pretty sure Bill is still planning something btw.And who knows wtf is up with Godric and Lilith. Godric has appeared to Eric a few times (even when not high on that blood) so I'm not sure if there is some kind of vampire afterlife/ghost thing that can occur.
8/13/2012 10:16:34 AM
iirc, the other time eric saw godric he had just drained sookie. the rest with godric have been flashbacks.i was surprised salome didn't jump on the day walking train. i don't know what to think about bill. at first when he was taking lilith's blood from the vial i thought he was going to break out a lab coat and see if anything had been laced in it. then i thought when he was watching nora and eric on the monitor seeing godric that he was probably planning something (i do think nora might be questioning it now). but then when he brought jessica in i was confused again. playing a game? or is he really buying all of it? we'll see.and andy's gonna have himself a half faerie baby.
8/13/2012 10:33:27 AM
Also what's with godric saying he's evolved, so does that mean he's not just a ghost, he's the next step for vampires? but then lilth killed him, so now is he really dead or was it is all just a hallucination??I mean if vampire blood when taken recreationally by humans can give people in a group the same interactive hallucination, I guess it's probable for thousand year old vampire blood to do the same for vampires.

they've been throwing around the word evolved a lot this season. i don't think it was meant any more than he evolved to live peacefully among humans.

i was wondering if bill might have passed jessica a message in the book he gave her. i also think bill is planning something, but not really sure what at this point. he did look legitimately concerned after russell's rant about the faery blood.
8/14/2012 2:53:12 AM
Steve Newlin has been a great character this season.I, too, and glad to see Laffy back to his old sassy flaming self.I didn't understand that faery contract with Sookie and Jason. Is this Warlow a vampire or one of those mean ugly faerys?
8/14/2012 10:04:00 AM
I'm pretty certain Warlow is a vampire. An ancestor of Sookie's (who was either faery, part faery, or at least knew they existed because they ran in their family somehow) made a contract with Warlow stating that he could have the next born faery in his family. That was/is Sookie.
8/14/2012 10:16:08 AM
I'm thinking Warlow is faerie. Claudine knew him. Not that Claudine doesn't know vampires, but they seem to stay away from vampires as much as possible due to their allure...I can't see how a faerie or part fae would agree to a contract of this kind b/c of it. And since it's not just next born, but next FEMALE born makes me think there's some kind of arranged marriage/breeding thing going on.But he did move with lightening speed like vampires. I dunno.I just want this authority/lilith thing to wrap up. And there's only two more episodes to do so. Gah![Edited on August 14, 2012 at 10:22 AM. Reason : ]

I thought they showed that her parents had bite marks, maybe that was only in Jason's dreams. And I thought Sookie saw from his point of view that he bit them just like vampires do.And the female thing could be a lot of things. For ex., perhaps the faerie "gene" is passed down from the mother. So maybe Warlow wants to "farm" faeries so he has them, and their blood, at his disposal for along time to come. Maybe he wants her so he could turn her (vampire + half faerie = maybe he can drink from her forever and get the benefits). Plus she would probably be able to day walk if she were a vampire, right? Maybe he just wants to create a group of vampires that can go out in the light. idk, a lot of possibilities there beyond an arranged marriage between faeries. Although, that's certainly a valid one.
8/14/2012 10:55:53 AM
I think Russell was spot on talking about studying and synthesizing fae blood. I hope he doesn't just get killed off this season.
8/14/2012 11:03:05 AM
8/14/2012 11:06:25 AM
So if the contract specified that the first fairy female born would go to Warlow, what did Warlow give them in return? And I don't think they'll kill off Russell, he's probably the most popular character.
8/14/2012 11:07:10 AM
I thought maybe they would shoot into a flashback scene about Russell's past when he starting talking in his old accent. I really want to know about his 3000 year old history. What Caucasian society could he have come from 3000 ago? I guess that would be the Iron Age? Mesopotamia or Greece?

3000 years is a little too far back for the roman empire
8/15/2012 9:51:25 AM
Why would he retain an accent from 3000 years ago? And maybe he was born in one place and then learned like 100 languages and switches between them whenever he feels like it.Wiki says he's a Celt, and swears in German.
8/15/2012 10:09:31 AM
8/15/2012 10:40:13 AM
If he is 3000 old then he is probably extremely intelligent. He's probably fluent in like 20 different languages alone and may have studied all sorts of linguistics to the point where he can switch between accents at ease so maybe he just prefers to go OG when he needs to get a point across. That being said, I am the same as elkaybie. When I get very emotional (be it anger, frustration, sadness, etc.), when I'm back in the homeland, or whenever I go a while without interacting with too many Americans my accent is significantly thicker.
8/15/2012 10:55:35 AM
Perhaps Warlow was a vampire that had some type of arrangement with the faeries and he was promised the next female faerie...If they had babies, they would be half vampire/half faerie and could walk and be outside during the day...Maybe that is where they are headed since it will overlap with Russell's rant about faerie blood and wanting to daywalk
8/15/2012 1:21:55 PM
can vampires procreate?
8/15/2012 1:43:22 PM
^hmmm good point... then maybe he was going to "turn" the fairie and then they would be half-vamp half-faerie
8/15/2012 2:57:01 PM
true blood's vampires cannot procreate. it was a point made by bill when he and sookie started dating, and a point of mrs. thortenberry to hoyt when he was first involved with jessica.

That elder faerie chick was pretty annoying initially, I would have been happy if she'd been killed even sooner.
8/19/2012 10:58:51 PM
I agree. I'm also glad to see the real Eric this episode, but still frustrated with the way the acts 90% of the time. I want Season 1/2 Eric back.I also like plebe Bill a whole lot more than Chancellor Bill. I'm ready for the finale to see how they're going to pull all this together.
8/20/2012 7:13:56 AM
The elder fairy was stupid. When she was dancing around and talking about Kesha or whatever... why would they even do that?
8/20/2012 9:07:58 AM
i'm not sure how i feel about this episode except i'm annoyed it was so short. started it late on hbo go, and still finished before 10. grrr.
8/20/2012 11:28:19 AM
I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how they are gonna wrap up this season in a good way. This season has been okay at best. Not the best, not the worst. But I don't have high hopes for the finale.
8/21/2012 9:48:09 AM
I don't know, but I will be a bit disappointed if it ends up Sookie fairy zaps some sense into Bill.
8/21/2012 10:01:03 AM
I just hope they don't kill off Russell. He's the best thing about the show.

8/21/2012 12:15:53 PM
What main character would you cut? I really only see Sookie, Bill and Eric (and sometimes Alcide) as the main characters, and everyone else as secondary. You can't cut any of the main ones. Out of secondary, I would lose Nora, Luna, and Tara definitely. I could be convinced to part with Steve Newlin and all of the Chancellors. I'd be disappointed to lose Sam, Jason, Jessica, Pam or Russell Edgington.I don't really care about anyone else.
8/21/2012 12:35:22 PM
i fear for steve newlin or russell, they won't keep both.
8/21/2012 12:43:18 PM
Well they kinda got rid of Hoyt but there is no way he's gone for good.
8/21/2012 4:02:54 PM
I would not in the least be sad to have Bill and Sookie be destroyed. Those fuckers have been annoying me since season 1.
8/21/2012 4:39:57 PM
sameI was prepared to like nora when she first appeared... but she has become more and more useless to me as things have gone on.]
