NFL COMEBACK PLAYER OF THE YEAR
2/1/2014 7:12:17 PM
coming back from a shitty offensive game plan ?! i mean i guess there should be rewards for that.

^ I don't see the lulz in that article. Because Rivers is a Christian, he has to hate on gays? The most important thing in that article is that Stephen Rivers is transferring. Wish we could have had him last year

mutha fuckin boss
6/6/2014 1:13:20 PM
hell of a strong opening drive
8/7/2014 10:26:47 PM
just turned the game on...was that sarcasm? or did the kicker miss a FG or something?
8/7/2014 10:32:50 PM
nah, stupid Fumbles McFumbleson aka Ryan Mathews coughed it up at the goal line
8/7/2014 11:40:46 PM
Matthews fumbled on the one.
8/7/2014 11:41:03 PM
who did?
8/7/2014 11:53:15 PM
quite a difference in the Tomlinson/Turner/Sproles backfield to this group of misfits where the best back always fumbles and the other backs keep getting stopped in the backfield by one of the worst defenses in the league
8/7/2014 11:54:13 PM
Tomlinson, Turner and Sproles on the same team...gotdamn
8/7/2014 11:56:37 PM
if Philip passes for 4,000 yards this season, he'll move to #18 all time, and move past some pretty big names: Aikman, Tittle, Young, Simms, Everett, Kelly. With 30 TD passes, he'll be top-15 all time.his stats are HOF worthy, but he still needs a Super Bowl in order to lock it up
8/8/2014 10:03:55 AM
where does he fall in the list of best quarterbacks with no rings?
8/8/2014 10:06:23 AM
right behind Testaverde, Esiason, and Moon[Edited on August 8, 2014 at 10:14 AM. Reason : m]
8/8/2014 10:08:20 AM
^^^^plus vincent jackson and antonio gates catching passes. and that was back when antonio gates was a monster. and even after turner left, they still had sproles, LT, and tolbert
8/8/2014 10:23:14 AM
^^Haha. Those teams were loaded for a couple of years. * They probably win a ring if Marlon McCree doesn't fumble an interception vs NE in 2006. * Maybe again in 2007 if LT doesn't quit on the team in the playoffs. They won't get that close again. That McCree play will haunt Phil forever. He played well enough to win. Especially in 2006. [Edited on August 8, 2014 at 12:21 PM. Reason : a]

Rivers is on The Chive in a photo caption contest.
9/21/2014 9:12:23 AM
Surprised this is buried on page 2, dude is having an MVP season.
10/5/2014 5:46:08 PM
somebody forgot to tell Gates he wasn't still their best tight end
10/5/2014 5:54:23 PM
Versus the golden god
10/5/2014 6:18:08 PM
with that TD, Phil just jumped Steve Young into 24th all time TD passeshe'll pass McNabb and Blanda next weekthen Kelly and Dawson the following week
10/5/2014 6:34:05 PM
But will he ever pass Eli?
10/5/2014 6:36:38 PM
he's currently 7 behind Eli, in 23 less starts
10/5/2014 6:39:46 PM
needs to pad those stats to build a lead over glennon
10/5/2014 6:49:20 PM

^ lol
10/10/2014 1:39:13 PM
it's too bad Phil won't win MVP this year, because JJ Watt has 3 touchdowns.
10/10/2014 10:08:44 PM
Also, Andrew Luck is on pace to have one of the most statistically redonkulous years of all time (5300 yards, 45 passing TDs, 6 rushing TDs) despite having pretty limited talent around him. He's your MVP right now.Rivers is having a hell of a year though, I love having him on my fantasy team. Chargers look like they might be the class of the AFC honestly. Going to be interesting to see who gets home field between them and Denver.
10/10/2014 10:39:34 PM
OJ Simpson in 1973 was the last MVP to miss the playoffsthus, Luck will not win MVP
10/10/2014 10:49:11 PM
You think the Texans are going to beat them out for that division with Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB? I don't think they'll go very far in the playoffs, but they'll make the playoffs.
10/10/2014 11:01:28 PM
I think the Colts will lose two out of their next three games[Edited on October 10, 2014 at 11:13 PM. Reason : but yes, to answer your question I do think the Texans will win that division]
10/10/2014 11:10:06 PM
So they'll be 5-4 if they do. Texans would have to go 3-0 over that same time span to overtake them.Indy has: Cincy, @Pitt, @NY. Houston has: @Pitt, @Tenn, Philly. You see them making up a lot of ground there?I mean, again, I'm not seeing a 14-2 record here, but I don't see them losing the division without an Andrew Luck injury. They've got 3 easy wins left on the schedule (Jax, Wash, @Ten) and at least 3 other very winnable games (@Cle, Hou, and @Dal). 9-7 probably gets them the division and they've got the tiebreaker right now.Why are we arguing about this again?
10/10/2014 11:22:08 PM
Philip is the best qb in the world right now. There is no debate about this.
10/11/2014 12:02:10 AM
For what it's worth, according to Vegas the Colts are the safest bet to be a division winner right now
10/11/2014 11:52:59 AM
10/11/2014 2:11:30 PM
I know you guys appreciate my updates.passing TDs - Phil just passed McNabb into a tie for 23rd all-time with George Blandapassing yards - needs 142 yards next week to pass Steve DeBerg into 24th all-time
10/12/2014 8:36:25 PM
10/12/2014 9:57:55 PM
First QB ever to post 5 straight games with a 120+ QB Rating
10/12/2014 11:10:18 PM
^^ Eh...I might take line 2. Richardson is more "lol" than Matthews. Matthews might get injured and fumble a little bit, but at least he produces when he's in there.
10/13/2014 6:55:37 AM
P-Riv also playing behind, what, his 4th center this season? And down to their 4th RB?Luck in a much easier division than P-Riv too. Texans are average to above-average, but Titans and Jax are terrible.Too early to predict MVPs at this point, but top 5 at this point have to be(in no order):P-RivLuckManningWattMurrayWe'll see what the list looks like after Week 10 or 11.
10/13/2014 8:26:18 AM
unfortunately, I think the MVP is Murray's to lose right nowand Manning's TD record will sway some voters tooPhil is probably #3 right now
