2/21/2006 4:01:47 PM

2/21/2006 4:03:03 PM

2/21/2006 4:41:15 PM
2/21/2006 4:57:12 PM
I'm glad that it's acting up on the last game of the season. I don't have to deal with these problems anymore after saturday.
2/21/2006 5:03:21 PM
I know alot of you have heard it alot, but does any have ONE extra ticket to tomorrows game?? Please help me out if you can. I am a huge Wolfpack fan and it would make my year to be able to make it to the game.
2/21/2006 5:53:51 PM
i just got a ticket for the BC game then i tried to sign in to my roommates name and request one for him and it said there are no more availablewhat the fuck
2/21/2006 6:01:44 PM
yeah i still haven't been able to even request a ticket to BC. i guess there is no request period since the server was down the whole time there should have been one.so whatever, that's potentially 2 games in a row i don't get tickets to, and they are the 2 biggest home games of the year.nice[Edited on February 21, 2006 at 6:04 PM. i bet all you bastards who said 'fuck campout i'll just get my ticket in the lottery' are hatin it now
2/21/2006 6:04:18 PM
no the request period for BC was earlier in the week, i got mine in and got selected in the lottery without a problem and im not even a seniorwish they would open up the UNC on demand at least till tomorrow to make up for that whole day that was lost.
2/21/2006 6:06:55 PM
there was more than a whole day lost. i check the site every few days. i didn't know the exact date of the request period, but there's no way i missed the entire thing w/the system working fine. plus i'm on the listserv and am supposed to receiver notifications when request periods begin and i didn't get one for the BC game.i tried to request a bc ticket 3 days ago and the system was "under maintenence" and i'm almost positive that was during what should have been the request period.
2/21/2006 6:10:35 PM
it was before that time, i think around friday night maybe? i cant remember exactlybut the whole day yea, they need to extend the UNC part in case someone gives up tickets
2/21/2006 6:14:34 PM
so is it working now?? is
2/21/2006 6:14:41 PM
as far as I know there are no tickets left for BC...but I can't check this late, so I'll call in the am
2/21/2006 8:40:57 PM
i didnt mean i printed it out then they found out i graduated. shit i have so much school left im goign to be on like the 7 year plan. section 103 row d on the aisle for carolina and then section 106 row b aisle for bc i truly do think the small groups get these and the randoms like i did at the begging get the end zones. GO PACK!
2/21/2006 11:03:36 PM
so grad students don't get tickets...fucking retarded
2/22/2006 12:17:30 AM
no tickets left for bc? wtfi never even got a chance to request a ticket
2/22/2006 1:51:03 AM
ticket requests for BC were friday and saturday, i think you just botched
2/22/2006 3:14:53 AM
^^^that's not true, many grad students are eligiblethere are certain situations from how your fees are paid that make you ineligible
2/22/2006 6:33:18 AM
2/22/2006 7:47:39 AM
Who should I email with general complaints? I get the impression that my ticket was revoked because I graduated in December, despite the fact that I'm a grad student now and I better not be considered 'ineligible' ... it shows that there was a ticket but I can't access it. This is the first time I've missed the game since being at State ...
2/22/2006 8:10:06 AM
adam whitehouse, but there are issues w/ grad students in how their tuition is paidIf you are operating off of a grant or special rate from the university as a grad assistant, you technically do not pay your own tuition and therefore are not eligible, and that can't be changed...that policy is set by Reg/RecordsAdditionally, you will get a faster answer as to why your account isn't eligible if you call All-Campus at the West Dunn Building (http://www.ncsuallcampus.com)
2/22/2006 9:56:27 AM
ticketing should go back to the line ups.... online ticketing sucks periodI cannot attent game for the first time.. in 5.5 years at state. My ticket got revoked... there will be ton of empty seats for making dec. grads ineligible
2/22/2006 10:35:57 AM
um, you would have been ineligible the old way as well...and what makes people think that graduates deserve free student tickets? You're not studentsAnd there won't be empty seats because of this...trust me on that, all tickets are given out
2/22/2006 10:46:21 AM
Since you were eligible at the beginning of the academic year, I think you should be able to get tickets til the end of that academic year. I hate to know that some devoted fans are getting fucked out of their tickets by someone who probably hasn't even been to a game yet.
2/22/2006 10:52:39 AM
but the simple fact is that they are not students...they are now alumniso there's nothign anyone can do because Reg/Records sets eligibility requirements, not Athleticsmeaning, Athletics does not have the ability to activate accounts--they can only work with accounts that are already open[Edited on February 22, 2006 at 10:55 AM. So what happened with the UNC tickets? I signed up over a week ago, never got a message saying I won or lost, for a while the event was highlighted and said "no more tickets available" when you clicked on it. then highlight went away. wtf
2/22/2006 11:02:21 AM
basically if it said no more tickets were available it's because there aren'tand if the link isn't there, it's because it was closedmany people PMed me yesterday saying they were able to get tickets through on-demand, most likely from grads who were stripped of their tickets...As for not getting an email, I dont' know what's up with that. Seems it's the norm, and most people have figured out how to check and see if they won tickets anyway
2/22/2006 11:06:32 AM
^^^ What Lee said up there is right. It's not Athletics who turned off your account, it's essentially Registration and Records. They finally purged all of the graduating students yesterday, so all of your student privileges got taken away (tickets, access to computers in Unity Labs, limited use of Pack Tracks, gym access, etc.). I'm sure Athletics simply accesses the general University system, and gets the list of eligible students from there. That being said, I wish the University's add/drop date had been a week later this year, because that determines when they purge the system. Why couldn't it have been AFTER the Carolina game? For the record, yes, I'm one of the graduating students (just finished my Masters). For you seniors who are bummed out, I was here 6.5 years (undergrad and grad school), so I feel your pain even more at finally missing a Carolina game.[Edited on February 22, 2006 at 11:14 AM. 2/22/2006 11:14:07 AM
so your logic is that since you found a loophole in the system that let you get tickets since you graduated, you are now entitled to continue getting tickets after they finally closed the loophole? Well if that is the case, why not just do away with selling tickets and let everyone go for free and make all seats the same? And if you graduated on december 20th, your last game as a student was the miami game. Everything since then has been a non-student cheating real students out of tickets. In short, I have zero sympathy for the people in your situation. If it wasn't for you, I may have gotten a ticket. Not that I wouldn't have done the same thing and probably be bitching about the system if I was in the same situation as you.[Edited on February 22, 2006 at 11:37 AM. Reason : ]
2/22/2006 11:28:27 AM
the system not functioning properly has cheated way more students out of tickets than people that graduated in december. i don't think i've been to a game yet that has had packed student sections.
2/22/2006 11:31:04 AM
the old way would have cheated just as many, so don't blame that on the online systemThe role of eligible students is handled the same, and the ability to skip a game is just as much
2/22/2006 11:34:22 AM
the old way never left entire empty rows of seats (to high-demand games). i'm not confident that when the online system says there are no more seats, there really are no more seats. i'm sure there will be several empty seats in the student sections again tonight.[Edited on February 22, 2006 at 11:40 AM. ok there will always be people that get tickets and just don't goit just seems odd to me when all of these people end up on the same rows.and from comments that have been made recently, it sounds like there is supposed to be a second lottery if there are extra tickets and there are people that didn't win the first time?there's been at least 3 or 4 times this year that my group didn't win tickets in the lottery and we all had to get on demand tickets (at the beginning of the on demand period) and sit by ourselves apart from each other. i think if there are unclaimed tickets and people that lost in the first lottery, no ticket should go to on demand until everyone that originally requested a ticket got one or failed to claim one.[Edited on February 22, 2006 at 12:02 PM. But I don't think it is that way. The empty seats from all over the sideline seats always jsut migrate towards the edges. I know when I have ticket to one of those edge sections, I move towards the center if there are open seats.the same goes with the endzone seats when there are a lot empty, people move closer to the floor leaving the majority of the empty seats towards the top of the sections[Edited on February 22, 2006 at 12:04 PM. 2/22/2006 12:00:18 PM
i'm referring to the games i've gone to where there have literally been entire rows left empty until people move up into them. maybe you disagree, but when i see that i think that those tickets weren't given out by the system.for the seton hall game there was an entire row in section 105 like that. for the wake game there was one in 111. basically, no matter where i'm sitting i have noticed this. i never noticed that in the past.
2/22/2006 12:04:45 PM
idk, it could be that way. i don't know the specifics on how the system distributes tickets. Maybe I was just giving it the benefit of the doubt. But this season is over, so hopefully they get this shit fixed by next november.I think with the 2nd lottery, that is somethign that athletics controls when there is a really high demand and a lot of people that don't win in the 1st lottery.
2/22/2006 12:08:19 PM
and as far as the "there are no more tickets available" being accurate goes, i had trouble getting tickets to the first games of the season even. like the stetson and delaware games. i can't remember which one, but for one of them i litereally had to keep clicking request for like 20 minutes until i got a ticket, and the seats were nowhere near full.
2/22/2006 12:13:39 PM
seating for some of the low level games at the beginning of the year went like this:fewer student tickets available, only one lottery, and on-demand....many more tickets went to charities, and if charities decided at the last minute not to show up, that's what entire sections/rows went empty, not because of the system...Last year, the way tickets were distributed created empty rows as well, but I'm sorry that you all can't seem to remember last yearfor high level games, including BC, FSU and UNC, there is a second lottery for people who didn't win in round one, but actually signed up. It's automatic. There is also an on-demand, assuming there are extra ticketsFor every game this year we have extended on-demand for people that can't figure out what day of the week it is or how to tie their shoelaces------people just don't know how to plan in advance at this school quite frankly, and that causes things to screw upSo, the reason yo udidn't get to participate in second-lottery in early games is for the fact there wasn't a second lottery and there were fewer tickets available
2/22/2006 12:42:22 PM
ok so you're telling me that rows of seats in sections 105 and 111 on the floor are given to charities? for acc games?!and georgia tech and wake forest are considered "low-level" games?
2/22/2006 1:35:45 PM
2/22/2006 1:42:26 PM
i didn't think tuition/fees were supposed to go towards student tickets anyway
2/22/2006 1:43:31 PM
they're not, but it's the way they determine eligibility nonethelessAnd if you're a TA, chances are you're under the section of students who aren't considered "due-paying" which means the school covers your tuition through a voucher and therefore considers you ineligibleand still, for some situations, chairities are given some pretty damn good seatsand georgia tech and wake forest did have some charities, but for those two games I don't believe any were on the floor...
2/22/2006 2:08:33 PM
give some love for unemployed wolfpack grads
2/22/2006 2:11:25 PM
as one who used to do campou8t, and reading all this crap from this year I think your online system sucksthat's all folks
