^^^you dont dog it in training with Ferguson, he wont play you. that makes sense now why SAF didnt sign him for the 30 mil pounds Kia was looking for. Plus he scored goals at the same frequency or less than Berbatov does at United, and inflicting his best goal per game ratio in the all-revered league cup^^Kia wanted 30 mil pounds for tevez, not 20. thats a lot to throw out when you just spent that on another striker. and what does carrick have anything to do with berbatov's signing. carrick had already been there for 2 years.[Edited on April 13, 2010 at 4:16 PM. oh shit, I thought it was 20, my badpoint is that Fergie has made some serious fuck ups in the transfer market in recent years but he somehow keeps getting a free passand the goals-per-game ratio is bullshit because Berbatov cleans up against scrubs and sits the bench against real teams because he can't produce[Edited on April 13, 2010 at 4:20 PM. That was a hand ball. Christ.
4/13/2010 4:24:43 PM
well because he keeps winning, its hard to get blamed for market fuckups when you are winning. valencia has been an excellent purchase this year. owen has contributed on the free transfer. berbs is obv still too slow for this team and will never adapt, so ill give you him. not sure whats gonna be done about him in the futuretevez was at united on loan and from what rio has said its obvious why he didnt sign him back if that training thing is true.nani has been playing great this year and living up to his signinganderson, not sure now with that leg injury, he was just coming into great form this year too...in other news chelsea are given a free pass to the title with this game today. not playing too great and have committed 2 handballs in the box and an obvious one in the field right in front of the ref, none were called.[Edited on April 13, 2010 at 4:30 PM. 4/13/2010 4:25:13 PM
Rio said he "didn't go over the top". He never mentioned anything about "dogging it" as you put it.It's just ironic because the last thing that Tevez would be accused of on the pitch is lazy.
4/13/2010 4:26:00 PM
you are expected to train hard with SAF is what im saying. tevez has a great work ethic on the pitch, but its been shown in the past he does his own thing, and isnt the greatest team player. shit the dude still doesnt know english or care to learn it. hes been in england for 5 years i believe now, maybe even 6
4/13/2010 4:28:44 PM
yeah, well Valencia was over 15 mil... I guess if you throw money everywhere, you'll hit the mark occasionallyand you're trolling if you're counting Owen's contribution as a success. He had one good game (hat trick in CL) and one important goal... who gives a damn if he was free
4/13/2010 4:34:32 PM
he had 3 or 4 important games. and he didnt start many more games than that either. thats about as many if not more than you can say for berbatov at a lot cheaper price...youre trolling if you are trying to label anyone other than Berbs as a fergie flop.valencia wouldve only cost about 8-10 mil had it not been for man city fucking the market up. united obviously needed a replacement winger and SAF hit it right.[Edited on April 13, 2010 at 4:40 PM. ^^ please tell me how Carrick has justified his price tagAnderson?Hargreaves?Vidic was a damn good buy, I'll give him that. But how many times does he have to find players for under 10 mil? I guess Nani will eventually pay off, but he wasn't cheap eitherwhatever, this argument is old as hell so it's not worth getting back into. But Fergie will retire soon, Scholes/Giggs/Evra/Ferdinand/VDS will all be finished, and the new manager will be left with jack shit and... Rooney. So you better hope the Glazers gtfo or there's goin to be troublechelsea are worse off actually just by looking at the ages of their players but they got DAT OIL $$[Edited on April 13, 2010 at 4:50 PM. 4/13/2010 4:42:19 PM
none of the players who go to united are cheap because clubs know they can milk them for a little more than normal.carrick has been ok in the midfield, he was supposed to replace roy keane but he doesnt play that position the same way as keane.anderson was actually starting to play well this season, his injury was awful timing, he may end up being sold away now unless he can get fit from this injury quicklyhargreaves has played superb when hes not been injured...sadly hes been injured for a long ass time, and for the money it cost to get him its prob gonna be a bust.and im not trying to go at it. of course you arent gonna get every player you buy right. but united do have players who come up through the youth system that actually play for that team, rather than just buying everyone. but im not gonna sit here and watch someone argue about all these "busts" when united have won 3 EPL titles in a row with a champions league and many other trophies with these "busts" and then sold the best player on the team and are still right in the running of the league with a lot of the defense missing for half of the season (VDS, Vidic, Rio, Rafael, Oshea, Neville). That has to say something about the manager that he has some good players he either trained up from youth system or bought and have on reserves to still be only a few points behind uber spending chelski who are prob about to go on another >$100 mil spending spree this summerit just sounds to me like youre jealous of all the success united have had and just wanna argue now that you know united arent gonna win this season[Edited on April 13, 2010 at 4:51 PM. 4/13/2010 4:50:17 PM
no, I'm just annoyed about everybody's boner over Ferguson and how he's made out to be the best manager in the world... it actually has nothing to do with United's players as a whole. It's easy to find the right team if you can throw away 15-20 mil here and there on fringe guys when that amount is another team's marquee signing. And that's why I think Wenger deserves WAY more credit than he gets, who cares if he's a French assholeand yeah, I know United's not the same level of "buy everybody the fuck up" like Cheslea/City. But they are that to some degree, but yet we're sucking Ferguson off like he trained them all up from the very beginning, it's annoying[Edited on April 13, 2010 at 4:56 PM. Reason : .]
4/13/2010 4:55:26 PM
well he has won the most league titles in the history of the top flight, and most trophies overall...plus 2 champions league titles in 3 appearances. and a lot of those trophies came with a nucleus of youth team product that he didnt go out and spend crazy money on.[Edited on April 13, 2010 at 5:02 PM. yeah, he's definitely a great managerI just think his best years are behind him and I wish other really good mangers would get the credit they deserve instead of hearing about Ferg all the damn time
4/13/2010 5:03:20 PM
As much as I hate SAF and Man Utd, I will say that they are one of the best at identifying young talent and most of their signings are legitimate.
4/13/2010 8:22:07 PM
wow it actually cost man city 49 million pounds to get tevez from whatever media whore service owns hims...hes not worth that much money...thats just a few million away from zidane territory. man city have really fucked this transfer market up[Edited on April 13, 2010 at 9:24 PM. Reason : lol city]
4/13/2010 9:18:56 PM
I think Tevez was just fed up with United and the way they treated him near the end of his loan, cause it says United could have gotten him for 25.5http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/m/man_utd/8110740.stmlol I have no idea why City ended up paying that much though
4/13/2010 9:26:26 PM
its not like all the players from arsenal come up through the youth system. They bought Fabregas from barca, Aaron Ramsey from cardiff or something, Walcott from southampton, van persie from feynoord, etc etc. Its not like he's raising all these kids himself, he's got a good eye for talent. While he hasn't spent nearly as much money as man utd, im sure he would given they had the finances. How many of his first teamers actually came up through the arsenal system? Abou Diaby, Djourou and Jack wilshire, I'm not sure about Bendtner. Are there more? He's definitely a good coach, but he's also definitely not better than SAF. I think he gets as much credit as he deserves.[Edited on April 13, 2010 at 9:50 PM. Reason : as]

It doesn't matter if he gets the Madrid job, it's not like he'd keep it for longer than a year anyway. After the way he neutered Liverpool's academy, I think he's quite possibly the worst thing that could happen to Real Madrid ever.
4/14/2010 9:01:19 AM
what's with the boner over him? because he's a part of their "family"?
4/14/2010 9:18:16 AM
