was good not redshirting anyway?
8/18/2009 9:19:05 PM
i assumed he was, but i'd rather him be on the scout squad rather than healing wounds.

^^Bummer about Good, but we've got some solid depth on the Oline. Let the shoulder thing clear up, and come back strong next year.Hopefully Carter is back after the bye week, if not before. Not that we can't get by with the other two guys, but Carter gives us more of a vertical threat at TE.

8/18/2009 10:55:45 PM
only nc state has injuries.
8/18/2009 11:12:54 PM
only simonn has quality sports talk posts.
8/18/2009 11:20:48 PM
^ that's more true than an injury being due to a player playing for nc state.
8/18/2009 11:24:08 PM
^ Duly noted, but dude...chill out. Lately you've seemingly been on some sort of personal crusade to cure the masses of their ignorance. I'm assuming your motive for this is not wanting our fan base to sound like a bunch of homerish morons, and while I commend you on the effort, the way with which you go about it, you're more just pissing people off than actually making them see the error of their ways. Not to mention the thousands of State fans who don't post on the Wolf Web and who are as just as ignorant as they ever were. I'm not saying don't set the record straight where it's needed, but choose your battles, and quit shitting all over people when they have an opinion that differs from your own. A lot of State fans think we are particularly unlucky when it comes to injuries. You seem to be of the opinion that we are no more unlucky than any other school/team. Fine. These are both opinions. Unless you plan on compiling stats for every FBS team regarding starters lost due to injuries, games missed because of said injuries and the like, in which case your's would obviously be a more informed opinion...and, were you to do that, I would personally nominate you for NC State's athletic director. Hell, I'd do that now if for no other reason than Lee Fowler is a moron.[Edited on August 18, 2009 at 11:55 PM. Reason : fannies]

BTTT. this thread should be in the top 3 at all times at this point.
8/19/2009 9:41:55 AM
Our defense dominated once again in the scrimmage...Russell and Glennon need to step the fuck up
8/19/2009 9:53:09 AM
They seemed to be doing a lot of "situational" drills, so I'm not really looking into the stats too much.
8/19/2009 9:58:43 AM
yeah, who the hell does Russell think he is? 17TD and 1INT plus the intangibles just aren't going to cut it this year.
8/19/2009 10:00:01 AM
My REAL prediction for the game...State 17 - South Carolina 13Late TD on a scramble by Russell Wilson.
8/19/2009 10:09:39 AM
my REAL prediction for the game is: State 23 Cocks 19SC is driving late but turns the ball over and we hold on
8/19/2009 10:32:54 AM
My REAL prediction for the game...As long as I'm not stuck Walhalla, SC watching this shit on an 18 inch TV with some egotistical USC fans, I'll be happy.
8/19/2009 10:46:42 AM
defenses wont be that good ...Prediction: US - 28 - 21 - Them
8/19/2009 11:07:58 AM
Defense with 3 INT's in the scrimmage ... Byers with 2. Yay?
8/19/2009 11:29:59 AM
8/19/2009 11:50:35 AM
Yeah I don't know about all of the INTs. I just hope that the changes in Wilson's decision making didn't affect his accuracy.
8/19/2009 11:56:42 AM
i'm just going to assume that our secondary is gonna be top-notch.
8/19/2009 12:01:33 PM
I think I remember reading something last year where either russell or TOB said that he tried riskier things in practice to see if he could do them. WHich leads to more picks in practice than in a real game. He's testing his limits in practice so that he doesnt have to in a game. This time last year, everyone and their brother was throwing picks in scrimmages but russell only threw 1 in the games he played. I think he/we will be fine.
8/19/2009 12:01:54 PM
Let's hope.
8/19/2009 12:33:54 PM
I remember last year TOB also said that RW for whatever reason plays much better in games than he does in practice. Not that he doesn't work hard in practice, just that he jumps up a notch or two in a real game.
8/19/2009 1:12:11 PM
I am ready for Toney Baker the touchdown maker
8/19/2009 2:11:01 PM
Bttt3
8/19/2009 2:15:38 PM
I am not really too concerned about the stats at all. When it comes to scrimmages, they are too hard to judge. I pay attention to what TOB has to say. That's the one thing I love about him, he tells you like it is whether you want to hear it or not. My prediction for the game:NCSU-24USC-23[Edited on August 19, 2009 at 2:22 PM. Reason : :]
8/19/2009 2:21:06 PM
bttt3 again for Russell Effing Wilson

^^^My favorite part of the article is the stark difference between TOB and Butchy.Butch:
8/19/2009 4:31:50 PM
^ Bitch Davis is basically saying that all he can do is recruit athletes, but has no skills to actually make them better players or the ability to inherit players and make them better. He and TOB could not be more different.
8/19/2009 5:33:51 PM
^Sounds a lot like a basketball coach I know.
