So... the last dungeon/last two bosses in Link to the Past are pretty fucking difficult.

Beat it, though. Feeling quite satisfied and ready to PAD SLEEP.

I remember the game being relatively easy

It is, mostly. The hardest parts are the ice dungeon (Dark World 5) because of the icy floors, swamp dungeon because of the moving floors (Dark World 6), and Ganon's Tower because of the icy and moving floors in the same room with rotating laser-eyes in that same room (Dark World 8/final)...

Also, these motherfuckers are the most annoying enemy in the game:
