I would take that in a heartbeatArian Foster looks to be the real deal. I don't see anyone in Houston taking that away from him. MJD is stuck on a terrible team that isn't going to get better for several years.
10/22/2010 11:44:34 AM
i will try to get more.get rid of Rio and the team could turn around pretty quickly - no?
10/22/2010 11:51:16 AM
I guess it can't get much worse but I don't expect a coaching change to fix that team instantly. It will take them several years to be considered a playoff team. They need a new QB more than anything.Ok so I have a dilemma, I need to pick a DEF this week. I have SD currently but they are playing NE and I have feeling that Tom Brady is going to light them up.I picked up SF because they are playing CAR who is a turnover machine. However, I have a feeling that Carolina could roll with Smitty back in the lineup. The other notable defenses (with good matchups) that are still available in the league are: PHI vs TN, NE vs SD, STL vs TB, KC vs JAX and WAS vs CHI.[Edited on October 22, 2010 at 12:08 PM. Reason : who should I pick up?]
10/22/2010 12:06:27 PM
10/22/2010 12:08:04 PM
lol I didn't say win but could finally score points.
10/22/2010 12:08:56 PM
go with Washington or Seattle if they are still on the market.
10/22/2010 12:12:10 PM
Dallas Clark done for the season, place on IR. "Clark will have surgery on his injured wrist next week and will be placed on injured reserve, ESPN 1070 Indianapolis reports."
10/22/2010 12:15:18 PM
Washington is but Seattle is not. I know CHI's O-Line is bad but WAS isn't great against the run (24th to be exact) and Forte could hit them up. Plus, the Redskins are dead last in total overall defense.
10/22/2010 12:18:40 PM
have you seen the Bears play?they suck. their QBs are terrible. Washington is who i am playing this week and I will reap the benefits.
10/22/2010 2:40:25 PM
Looking to make a sneaky pickup this week. I did a two for one trade and I've got a roster spot for a deep sleeperWho ya got?Patrick Crayton WR SD (Will only be relevant with Floyd out)James Starks RB GB (No one else can run the ball in GB, might as well give this guy a shot)Anthony Dixon RB SF (Great talent, too bad he plays behind Gore)Derrick Ward RB Hou (Same as above)Anthony Gonzalez WR Ind (Collie and Clark are out, but he is notoriously fragile)Nate Burelson WR Det (CJ has been in pain all year and Burelson has shown he can produce in the past)Jacoby Jones WR Hou (Been hurt on and off all year but has the talent)Jason Avant WR Phi (Jackson out means Avant in, but for how long)I'm learning towards Starks, Gonzalez, or Ward. How would you rank the above?
10/22/2010 3:38:57 PM
I, too, read ESPN.com
10/22/2010 3:46:17 PM
^I picked up Ward but I'm not too confident about it. Seems like all my RBs have a bye for week 8. I've got Ward but I've been offered Shonn Greene for Aaron Hernandez who I don't really need. For week 8, who do you think would have a better game? I'm kinda thinking take the Greene trade since he's playing the Jets but idk.
10/22/2010 3:48:47 PM
No one ever offered an opinion on my Felix Jones/ Marion Barber idea with respect to starting them both and later on maybe trading them as a set if MB starts producing again.
10/22/2010 4:09:59 PM
^ as opposed to? will whoever the Colts backup TE be (only name I can find is Brody Eldridge) have any value?
10/22/2010 4:23:03 PM
^^ I don't like the idea of starting them both. Barber has been terrible thus far and the Giants have a great rush D. If you start Miles Austin, Felix Jones, and Marion Barber, one is almost guaranteed to not have a big game.
10/22/2010 4:56:44 PM
^Yes, I agree. Felix Jones hasn't been super this year, but he's been solid. And the past couple of games he's gotten more touches...I wouldn't start Marion Barber
10/22/2010 5:14:25 PM
Yeah you guys make some pretty good points. I would actually have to drop Tolbert to pick up Barber if he clears waivers tonight in the first place. I definitely have the flex spot to play the tandem, but I guess relying on the Cowboys for 3 roster spots is iffy.My thought process was putting Barber and Tolbert as equals in terms of points. I figured he couldn't really do worse than Tolbert. So for clarification it would be SJax, Jones, Barber vs SJax, Jones, Tolbert.[Edited on October 22, 2010 at 5:53 PM. Reason : .]
10/22/2010 5:51:52 PM
I can pick up Pettigrew or Shiancoe. Which is the better choice for the remainder of the season?
10/22/2010 6:44:19 PM
^I feel like pettigrew will probably be more consistent, but shianco will probably have more total points... their schedules are pretty similarSomeone just proposed this trade:I give: Andre JohnsonI get: Ryan Torain, Malcom FloydI already have Reggie Wayne at WR, with Ronnie Brown, Caddy, and Arian Foster as RBs. Standard scoring, yahoo league.
10/22/2010 8:48:46 PM
No.
10/22/2010 9:24:12 PM
I wish i was in some of you's leaguesheck no you dont make that tradea backup RB and injured WR for the Best WR in the game?? no
10/22/2010 9:28:45 PM
im about to be STACKED at RBdude is dropping Tolbert for some reason so im gonna drop Donald Brown and pick him upgives me Best, AP, McCoy, Run DMC, Torain, and Bradshaw.trade time.
10/22/2010 9:48:53 PM
I picked up the San Fransisco defense. I figure that if I can't enjoy watching our offense, the least I could do is get some redemption every time our offense turns the ball over.
10/22/2010 11:56:21 PM
Pick 1:TolbertRun DMCI like McFadden all day over tolbert, but I just don't think he will be getting many touches (~8 at best) since they want to baby his hammyPick 1:Mercedes LewisGreg OlsenI had Lewis as a bye week filler for Clark, but now that he is out, I went and picked olsen off of waivers. Olsen has been shut out the last 2 weeks- but that wont continue, will it?
10/23/2010 7:43:23 AM
^^^ Doesn't Joseph Addai have a dead shoulder? Seems like Brown could finally get some playing time if his hamstring is better after the bye. Tolbert has put up mediocre numbers against Stl and Oak, and Matthews is getting healthier. I'm interested to hear what people think about Tolbert at this point in the season because he was dropped in my league as well, and I'm weak at RB.^^I'd start Lewis. Mcfadden doesn't sound healthy, so I'd keep an eye on the injury reports.----There are alot of good pickups waiting on the waiver wire due to drops, and I have the #1 pick. Who's the hottest pickup out of the bunch and who would I drop? Should I try to pickup more than 1 of these guys?Malcom Floyd, Brandon Tate, Mike TolbertMy Bench: Thomas Jones, Shonn Greene, Johnny Knox, Mike Williams TB, Owen Daniels[Edited on October 23, 2010 at 9:23 AM. Should I risk Cooley as my TE this week, or should I pick up Benjamin Watson, John Carlson, Jermaine Gresham, or Greg Olsen? If I do need to make a move, it would involve dropping Cooley, so would any of the TEs listed be better for the remainder for the year? Of course I could just keep him as it seems he may play.[Edited on October 23, 2010 at 10:30 AM. Reason : .]
10/23/2010 10:08:00 AM
^That's a tough call. I picked up Watson in one of my league's this week since Clark is done. I really don't know...seems like a toss up to me.For my WRs...Driver or Lance Moore?I'm thinking Driver, but he hasn't necessarily been that great this year. Moore has been streaky, but has big game potential. RBs...Moreno or Lynch?I'm leaning Lynch, but just want some reassurance.
10/23/2010 3:27:52 PM
Rivers or Flacco?Shiancoe or Cooley?
10/23/2010 5:43:34 PM
^Rivers. I know Flacco's playing the Bills but Rivers, IMO, is a must start.I don't know about Cooley's status....is he going to play?
10/23/2010 6:08:06 PM
^I tend to agree with the Rivers decision too...As for Cooley, he is still questionable but Shiancoe has been so awful that I'd rather take Cooley's 2 or 3 pts a week vs Shiancoe's zero that he got me last week
10/23/2010 7:53:17 PM
^I agree...if there's a good chance Cooley will play then I'd go with him. Shiancoe really hasn't done much this year and I can't imagine that increasing with Moss now part of the equation.Driver or Lance Moore? Any thoughts?[Edited on October 23, 2010 at 9:43 PM. Reason : d]
10/23/2010 9:42:27 PM
Favre or Fitzgerald?^My gut says Driver simply because of the emotional game against the Vikings but I'm not sure. Its tough to predict who Brees is gonna throw to on any given week. [Edited on October 23, 2010 at 11:48 PM. Reason : Forgot the rule]
10/23/2010 11:46:27 PM
^I assume you mean Fitzpatrick...and I'd go with Favre. Emotional game, he'll probably be pumped up and the Bills are playing the Ravens who have a tough D.
10/24/2010 12:19:54 AM
I am weak at RB and now I am having to deal with bye weeks.Do I start: Jonathan Stewart, Mike Goodson or Willis McGahee?
10/24/2010 1:36:28 AM
I want the guru's advice on this McFadden situation... my only other option is Tolbert
10/24/2010 7:19:42 AM
Pick 2 (flex and WR2):McFadden OR TolbertDeion BranchPatrick Crayton.[Edited on October 24, 2010 at 8:03 AM. Reason : .]
10/24/2010 8:02:35 AM
^Branch and Crayton or McFadden and Branch
10/24/2010 8:52:51 AM
Would still like to get input on whether I should trade Randy Moss for LT?
10/24/2010 9:21:58 AM
straight up or are there other people involved? I don't think there is enough good reasons to make that trade particularly profitable. It is more a matter of it you want your players to pay out right now or in a few weeks. Moss will start getting his again soon, but maybe not this week. LT is getting his now but he is getting old and it is only a matter of time before he gets injured and then replaced on the depth chart.
10/24/2010 9:37:18 AM
It's a straight up trade. I'm weak at RB2 at the moment (Moreno, Lynch, Shonn Greene), but my receivers are all decent. I may just see how things play out this Sunday. If Moreno and Lynch show some life, I won't be as tempted to take the trade.[Edited on October 24, 2010 at 9:57 AM. Reason : :]

what in the hell is going on with antonio gates?i either start him, or mercedes lewis. what should i do?
10/24/2010 10:11:05 AM
^ Word is Gates is a game time decision. I'm starting him this week bc he hasn't missed a game since 2005 I think, I'm pretty certain he's going to play. Can anyone verify that the Titans are sitting Kenny Brit for this game for disciplinary reasons? I haven't seen it official anywhere yet. - Ok, Matthew Berry is now tweeting that he will play but he won't start[Edited on October 24, 2010 at 10:20 AM. Pick 2 of Hines Ward, Steve Smith(CAR), and Percy Harvin? Thanks.
10/24/2010 10:20:34 AM
I'd start Hines Ward and Percy Harvin. I'm benching Steve Smith this week for lesser WRs than that; hopefully it doesn't come back to haunt me.
10/24/2010 10:32:23 AM
Need to pickup a kicker. Who to drop?CraytonSantonio HolmesDwayne BoweVJ
10/24/2010 10:34:57 AM
^ It depends on your league playoff schedule, but in standard leagues it's looking like Vincent Jackson won't have much value, he'll probably only get one or two games, I'd consider dropping him.
