Which orphan children are we referring to? I don't remember them

bran sent them to help a guy out on his farm or whatever, he agreed to take care of them in return.

Requesting brief synopsis of last week's episode.

this actually does a good job of recapping, and covers all of the story lines:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Man_Without_Honor

i bet the kingslayer is gonna get snu-snued
5/21/2012 9:19:26 AM
Anybody know what the name was that Arya kept telling the murder-for-hire guy? I assume it was someone who can't be murdered or something thus refusing to release him from his debt unless he helped her escape. Couldn't really follow it though.
5/21/2012 9:26:52 AM
It was the name of the guy she was talking to.
5/21/2012 9:29:36 AM
^^ This guy kiddin'?
5/21/2012 9:51:44 AM
Outside of Jaime talking shit and Jaqen H'ghar this episode was super lame. And OMG I'm glad they cleared up whether those two burned kids were or weren't Bran and Rickon.

I wouldn't want the Mountain to die this early in the story though. The part when he cut his horses head off and was about to destroy Loras last season was one of my favorite scenes. He's gotta have more badass stuff up his sleeve.
5/21/2012 12:04:59 PM
^^ he also made a comment about "giving a man his own name" and they went back and forth on it for a few lines with her saying that a man could kill himself, him asking her to take it back, etc. But he talks a little odd compared to other characters, so it doesn't surprise me that people missed what was going on there.
5/21/2012 12:19:09 PM
i thought it was a great Tyrion episode.I dunno whether they're going to kill off Theon or not, but I sure as hell am sick of his character arc, so something needs to come to fruition there.
5/21/2012 12:54:57 PM
I see a lot of people really hating Theon Greyjoy. I don't think he's that bad. He's kind of like Pete Campbell from Mad Men (my apologies if you don't watch that show), he does some bad things, makes some mistakes, etc. But they're easy to sympathize with. You can understand why, you know he regrets doing these things, you know he doesn't really like to do them, you just feel a little sorry for him. I think he's a very real character. Probably the most real life in the show right now. He makes mistakes, he's trying to find his place, he's not that great at the tasks he takes on, etc.
5/21/2012 2:20:41 PM
i just think his "adviser" guy is trying to see just how big of a joke he can make out of Theon...he'll be really easy to get out of the picture if everybody is scared of his crazy ass killing them for any little perceived grievance...they'll just gang up on him if someone they respect comes along...[Edited on May 21, 2012 at 2:26 PM. lame episode.I can't fathom WHY she let Jamie go. That is the most retarded thing. I haven't read the book, so unless im missing something, its retarded.
5/21/2012 9:28:44 PM
^ I didn't get that either. I think there may be more to her plan considering the girl is escorting him. Why not just actually let him go, you know? I guess this could be to make sure he remains safe, but she also doesn't seem dumb enough to think that simply taking him there with one escort will result in the Lannisters trading for him. They'd just kill the giant chick or take her prisoner.I think there is more to her plan than it seems.
5/21/2012 10:18:20 PM
^ As a trade to get Sansa and Arya back
5/21/2012 10:18:27 PM
^ right. but she sent one person with him (the chick knight). That doesn't seem like a smart way to go about the trade, and she seems pretty smart.[Edited on May 21, 2012 at 10:27 PM. Reason : .]

a lannister pays his debts
5/21/2012 11:00:33 PM
Catelyn let Jamie go because she's being a selfish cunt. She thinks there is a slim chance she could get her daughters back if Jamie can make it back to King's Landing, whereas if he stays as a prisoner it's very likely that he'll be executed or murdered by one of the many people that hate him, so basically she's giving a giant middle finger to everyone and counting on the fact that Robb is her son to not get instantly beheaded for treason.
5/21/2012 11:49:28 PM
weakest episode of the season
5/21/2012 11:53:58 PM
Way too much gong on. Not losing track or anything, but wishing they would focus more on certain storylines
5/22/2012 2:19:13 AM
5/22/2012 9:04:18 AM
anyone else just love how self-satisfied that cunt, Cersie, is even though she is wrong. She got the wrong whore...what a dumb bitch.
5/22/2012 9:29:09 AM
She's playing the character perfectly. Power-hungry and utterly incompetent. Also an alcoholic.

One game at a time...
5/22/2012 10:01:04 AM
5/22/2012 11:45:34 AM
^^I thought that line was really funny in a meta sort of way...like, "Yeah, Dany does have dragons, but we're saving those for at least two seasons from now...one game at a time."I agree this episode was weak. The scene with Robb and Jeyne (er, Talisa) was super schmaltzy, almost unwatchable. The Jaqen thing could've been handled much better. The scene with Davos and Stannis was really cool, as were Tyrion's scenes, but this was definitely a weak episode. I think next week will (hopefully) be one of the best episodes of the season, though. You know how HBO series are with penultimate episodes.
5/22/2012 3:37:19 PM
on top of being the penultimate episode, it's also the one that george rr martin wrote. should be epic.
5/22/2012 4:09:11 PM
Least favorite episode so far.
5/22/2012 4:54:26 PM
^^ unimpressive use of the word penultimate
5/22/2012 5:03:08 PM
This week's episode should be good.
5/22/2012 5:39:20 PM
Last weeks episode was disappointing in all departments except the butt department, which would be a great name for strip club.
5/22/2012 5:53:12 PM
forgot to say i was also thoroughly unimpressed that the older knights watch guy got caught as well. He seemed like a season vet whos hunted "wildlings" forever and knew how to avoid them. Yet all his men die and hes captured like a faggot.
5/22/2012 6:08:19 PM
^^ the butt wasn't that interesting to meI guess Robb was shirtless this past episode (ho hum). Jon Snow is the only guy on the show I'd care to see that way and he's always bundled in five layers of furs. :/
5/22/2012 8:42:06 PM
is there that much of a difference between robb and john? look like one in the same to me
5/22/2012 8:50:05 PM
big differencebut probably not to you hetero malefolk
5/22/2012 9:29:20 PM
haha must be, to me they're both dark haired hairy folk
5/22/2012 9:33:28 PM
side-note gripe that i've been meaning to mention for a while: emilia clarke (the woman who plays dany) is a pretty atrocious actor imo. i feel like she just has the same wide-eyed look for every single situation, it's so annoying. and i feel like she never does a good job getting across how dany is feeling about something. i honestly have no idea why they would've cast her as one of the absolute most important characters of the series.she kind of hit a new low for me in this past episode.
