thanks!

yea it wasn't overly dry just drier than usual. it is usually juicy. but i might try brining.

i also like dark meat. but chicken breasts are just easy peasy lemon squeezy.

i am going to make salt n pepper chicken...or maybe wings...next week i think. that is easy to do and i like using legs and wings and other pieces. i've also been itching for some ribs. MMM. i like summer it makes me want to cook/be outside always. i want to have a party and make lots of wings and ribs. but i can't because i am lame, living at my parents house, and have no friends!

so why are breasts easier than wings or legs or thighs? all of them come in a package and you thaw it out, rinse it off, marinate it, and grill it.

i honestly don't get you cadwal

actually, bone in cooks faster because the bone conducts the heat to the center of the meat. least that's what alton brown told me.

[Edited on June 9, 2009 at 10:03 PM. Reason : white cooks faster than dark, but it's not that big of a deal imo. just chill and have an extra beer]

easy to buy in big packages! at costco. individually wrapped. that is what i meant by easier! not that it is THAT much easier than a wing or a thigh. its just what is in our freezer. so. meh.

i switch off depending on what is on sale!! right now we have a giant bag of individually wrapped chicken breasts. before i unwrapped and froze myself. i'm all about the cheapness. give me cheap!

when i grocery shop i usually divide up myself but, when i'm at home, i just work with what is already in the freezer!

i just ate that plate of leftovers, but i'm still kinda hungry.

i think i'll go buy some bacon. i have a cabbage from my grandaddy's garden. gonna quarter the cabbage and put it in some foil w/ bacon, butter, black pepper, and onion. throw those bad boys on the grill.

if you've never tried this, you should. it only really works w/ the small pointed-headed cabbage. in raleigh, you can probably only get them at the farmer's market.
