I don't have to explain myself. You're not my real dad.

Kyle Wiltjer is the best jump shooting invertebrate of all time. it's a shame his body is mush because he's highly skilled and actually has some legit post moves. he's also worthless defensively. flaws aside, he does bring a lot to the table and it'd be cool if State got him.
6/25/2013 8:28:40 AM
This guy kind of screams Gonzaga. Can't really see what about our team would appeal to him.
6/25/2013 8:34:41 AM
Probably the CJL biscuit
6/25/2013 8:55:36 AM
Hadn't even factored in the bo time coefficient. Our ace in the hole.
6/25/2013 9:05:58 AM
if we make him a deal to get his own cook-out tray, he's ours.
6/25/2013 10:43:24 AM
Supposedly Barber, Anya and Freeman will get on campus and enroll in the 2nd summer session. Not sure about Lee or Washington.
6/26/2013 11:22:33 AM
clearly they want to get a jump on their academic career here
6/26/2013 1:38:11 PM
I just want Anya to get a jump on that treadmill.Him being in game shape this year would HUGE (pun intended) for our success. But I wouldn't bet on it.
6/26/2013 1:40:14 PM
Is the rivals article about Stephen Hurt?
6/27/2013 1:26:51 PM
Some of our guys will be playing in the NC Pro-Am, (http://ncproam.com)which starts tonight. This year, they're playing at the Durham School of the Arts. The State players are on team "Sheraton Imperial."Roster:Rasheed Wallace, ProBrandon Ingram - KHSTJ Warren, NCSUAndre Dawkins, DukeJustin Kitchart, HSStephon CobbKyle Washington, NCSUAnthony Barber, NCSUBJ Anya, NCSUDesmond Lee, NCSULennard Freeman, NCSUTrevor Lacey, NCSUJames CrowderKyle CurrieRoger IngramMichal SealsI guess I should add that their first game is tonight at 7pm.[Edited on June 27, 2013 at 4:36 PM. 6/27/2013 4:40:38 PM
I saw Josh Powell on one of the teams; he was the only one that I noticed.Teams here:http://ncproam.com/ncpro.html
6/27/2013 4:55:23 PM
Thanks for the link. I don't see any others. As I mentioned earlier, barber, anya and freeman are supposedly enrolling in the 2nd summer session. it's a good sign that washington and lee (and lacey) are playing in this, looks like they'll be around this summer too.
6/27/2013 5:13:36 PM
Get ready for NC Pro Am reports on how shitty BJ Anya is. Only the McDAA game is a worse place to showcase his talents.
6/27/2013 5:36:50 PM
^What do you mean?
6/27/2013 6:03:48 PM
^ those are absolute pickup games.
6/27/2013 10:34:54 PM
I would think those types of uncoached games would be a smorgasbord of blocks in the making.
6/28/2013 12:26:05 AM
Gott getting it done. Little stuff like this shows that he is earning the paycheck and building. Lots of great points above regarding this foundation of players committing to our program and how promising that is long term. Great things happening.
6/28/2013 12:48:15 AM
6/28/2013 9:35:53 AM
^I completely agree. I said it on the last page. He is a monster and I don't care if he is heavy. He is going to dominate inside and throw shots like we haven't ever seen at State.
6/28/2013 9:42:36 AM
I think calling him fat is easier than saying he is unathletic and somewhat of a stiff. He can lose weight, so that gives us some hope that his being heavy is why he doesn't move well.Washington looks much more likely to contribute early than Anya simply because of the athleticism.
6/28/2013 9:50:08 AM
^^ Tommy Burleson, Thurl Bailey, and Todd Fuller would all like to have a word with you sir (probably a couple of other guys too).[Edited on June 28, 2013 at 9:53 AM. Reason : ^]
6/28/2013 9:53:02 AM
Sorry I used that "we" word loosely. I did not have the pleasure of ever watching Tommy Burleson or Thurl Bailey block any shots for State. And although I was alive I was too young to remember Todd Fuller. But yes they are the greats, but I am optimistic that a guy with a standing reach of 9'3" can equal them if he works hard.
6/28/2013 9:56:05 AM
6/28/2013 9:59:28 AM
I love the guy's potential, but unless he trims up a bit, he's going to be pretty useless for us next year. He is slow as fuck and has only gotten bigger (not in the good way) since he committed. He is coming to Raleigh early, so there's hope if he can put some time in the weight room.
6/28/2013 10:11:02 AM
I saw him last week, he weighed 900 lbs and was eating a whole box of Twinkies.
6/28/2013 10:17:49 AM
He is up to 275. Yea he has gained, but he was at 310 when he got cut by USA Basketball Men's U-16. [Edited on June 28, 2013 at 10:25 AM. Reason : ]
6/28/2013 10:19:22 AM
do none of you remember what that big ole fat piece of shit from miami did to us last yearif the opposing team can't match his size he can fuck em upi say let him get here and show us what he can do, if he can't get it done then talk shiti declare
6/28/2013 10:42:02 AM
^That's a good point, someone to matchup with a Withey or a Reggie Johnson will be huge in situational match-ups, even if he's not able to play 35 minutes a game.
6/28/2013 10:56:48 AM
http://accbasketball.com/freshmen-orientation-beejay-anya/Good assessment of Anya.
6/28/2013 11:39:36 AM
From the same article. LOLs
6/28/2013 1:31:09 PM
You think that was a slam? Look what he wrote in this one about TBDVhttp://accbasketball.com/projected-2013-14-lineup-north-carolina-state-wolfpack/My personal favorite quote is
6/28/2013 1:34:47 PM
I dunno who that is, but he is pretty spot on as far as I can see it. He clearly watches State play.
6/28/2013 2:12:30 PM
Eesh:
6/28/2013 5:05:41 PM
sounds like we're getting Reggie Johnson.
6/29/2013 12:05:29 AM
Reggie Johnson was actually pretty good his freshman year. Not sure what happened to him though he kept getting worse after that
6/29/2013 4:16:00 AM
MOST freshman big men haven't developed post moves and a reliable back to the basket game. Tim Duncan didn't develop his until college and early NBA years, Boozer basically finished Dunks in college. It doesn't mean they can't be a presence and develop them.
6/29/2013 7:07:51 AM
Shouldn't stuff about Anya go in the 13/14 bball thread instead of recruiting?
6/29/2013 11:20:59 AM
We haven't many defensive presences inside over the years....Simmons was a bit of one. McCauley had his moments. Powell and Hickson were pretty good shot blockers...Has any school in d1 history had more undrafted guys leave early entry?Costner, powell, Leslie, ta McLendon, Derek Morris... who am I missing? Not counting guys like Ferguson and Thomas

Wayne Bumpass ?@WayneBumpass 31mNC State freshman Beejay Anya ( @BAnya_Allday ) having his own personal block party out here. #NCProAmEat one, Anya haters.
7/9/2013 8:23:50 PM
wait who are the anya haters here?
7/9/2013 8:28:23 PM
The Vandy conspirators who want Anya and Washington to go down with injuries so he can take his rightful place in the starting line-up.
7/9/2013 9:32:18 PM
Look up wingspan on Wikipedia, lol.
7/9/2013 9:35:46 PM
I might go up to the Peach Jam in North Augusta since I live down here. Any of our prospective recruits gonna be there?[Edited on July 9, 2013 at 9:57 PM. Reason : Guess not if they're all in Durham right now...]
