everything I've seen is expensive as shit. cheapest air I've seen is $860, most hotels are over $100/night. arena holds under 14k + high demand = tickets probably high as shit too.

however, I've heard that the Canes are putting together some kind of package of season ticket holders that may or may not drop the cost somewhat.

Hostels are totally the way to go. I gotta admit, I'm feeling real selfish about this. I'm pissed that I won't be able to go. The $2,000 that I would probably drop is likely better off in my bank account, though.

I think we could see Whitney moved by the weekend, but it all depends on what the deal with him wanting an extension is all about.

I thought that he would be cool being a pure rental and coming back here after the season for his retirement contract. Whatever stupid contract JR gives Whitney if he comes back would be easier to swallow if we had a nice prospect and pick in addition.

Side note, I know a handful of folks that want to tailgate Saturday so if anyone wants to meet up we will definitely be in the fairgrounds lot early. Might get a cornhole tournament up and watch some winter olympics on the tv.
