11/23/2008 1:15:33 PM
That video was awesome.
11/23/2008 1:18:26 PM
Gene Galin's usual postgame video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4p_XxNyBYUI absolutely love Russell Wilson's interview at the end, the News14 guy compliments him over and over, but he never bites or brags at all and stays grounded, always directs his attention toward the Miami game that is left to play
11/23/2008 1:21:55 PM
"how the fuck could this happen!?!?"You stay classy UNC. Care for a trip through the ghetto?
11/23/2008 1:29:21 PM
Is someone on sports talk seriously trying to lecture UNC on classiness?
11/23/2008 1:41:21 PM
i think it's more at pointing out the hypocrisy over there
11/23/2008 1:44:17 PM
oh come on, in those circumstances who wouldn't be cursing, just take some pleasure in the holes' obvious misery at that moment
11/23/2008 1:51:09 PM
I really like the sequential pictures taken of the owen spencer drop and the fumble by carolina on the kickoffThis is my favorite from the set.
11/23/2008 1:58:01 PM
Can anyone make a .gif of the girl yelling "How the F**K does this happen" from the N&O video?
11/23/2008 2:07:07 PM
from PP. had seen some of these comments already, but there are a few gems i hadn't seen yet, particularly about the carolina fans. good stuff.

hahahaa. what a fat turd
11/23/2008 3:32:16 PM
NC States record could be just as good if not better than UNC's had we scheduled McNee State, Rutgers, UConn and Notre Dame. But we played real team in our out of conference i.e. USC, South Florida, ECU. i hope duke pounds the life out of them next week.
11/23/2008 3:48:17 PM
Duke by 10, those kids have quit.
11/23/2008 4:06:44 PM
So if we finish 6-6. what are the chances we get a bowl bid, i mean im not quite sure of this, but wont there be like 10 or 11 bowl eligible teams in the acc this year? how many bowl bids go to the Acc. i think we can get one regardless cuz we have a large fan base (assuming we win against the whorerricanes saturday)
11/23/2008 4:18:22 PM
9 tie-ins.
11/23/2008 4:24:15 PM
^ 2 of Clemson's wins were against FCS teams (non FBS). So Clemson only has 5 countable wins (same as us)
11/23/2008 4:34:43 PM
Didnt we go over a 7 win team a few years ago with amato when we were 6-6?I could have sworn we did
11/23/2008 4:34:53 PM
^ Boston College always got jumped over because no bowls wanted them. They changed the rules recently because BC was complaining. Someone should post the exact rules because I can't find them
11/23/2008 4:37:03 PM
I thought the new rule was you could still jump, but only by one point, so we could jump a 7-5 team, but not an 8-4, if we were to beat Miami.
11/23/2008 4:38:05 PM
yeah,, it's pretty recent. apparently it didn't take effect in the pac 10 til this year
11/23/2008 4:39:46 PM
7 win teams have to be chosenif it comes down to 9 teams eligible, we would have to get an at large bid to another bowl non ACC related.theres a good post on packpride that explains it.
11/23/2008 4:42:29 PM
lol, UNC got fucking pwnt by Jamelle Eugene. gg

11/23/2008 5:49:12 PM
^ i, too, would like a digital copy
11/23/2008 5:59:05 PM
so just answer these with a yes or no question...because i've read different posts on this. Also, I wouldn't mind a link to the ACC rule on it. 1)A team can be selected over any other team in the conference as long as their CONFERENCE record is with 1 game? This would mean that we could be selected over anyone who is 4-4 regardless of their overall record...which would help us out tremendously. 2) the NATIONAL rule is that regardless of conference record, 7-5 teams must be taken over 6-6 teams for bowls. Does this include teams like clemson that could be 7-5 with 2 wins over 1-AA programs? ....because I'd like to take the USF loss off our record and play the citadel if thats the case.

^^^did you not see my post?
11/23/2008 6:38:42 PM
does your post answer if clemson counts as a 7 win team if two are against 1-aa?? wouldnt they be counted as a 6 win team too, in which case the bowl could pick us or them?**assuming both textiles schools win, knock on wood and such
11/23/2008 7:34:46 PM
yes it does state thatthanks for reading
11/23/2008 7:46:28 PM
11/23/2008 7:50:10 PM
yea thanks for being a dick to someone asking a questionbut point out to be where it says thatthe person who you quote (who is some ncaa rules expert i assume, since your post supposedly eliminates the need for more questions) states that clemson will have 7 wins if they win out, which is obvious. the question is, do they have 7 ELIGIBLE wins as far as the rule is concerned?please take pity on this me and point out where in your post that question is answeredthank you soooo much, oh expert of quoting
11/23/2008 7:54:09 PM
The post mentions nothing about how the ncaa handles a case where one of the teams has 2 wins against FCS teams. currently clemson is 6-6 but isn't bowl eligible since they played the citadel and SC State. Anyways, we're all getting ahead of ourselves again. We went through this same "what if" shit last year before we shit the bed against the twerps.
11/23/2008 7:56:50 PM
So when is the replay coming on again??
11/23/2008 8:01:29 PM
you should be able to remember a few years back when WE had this about two FCS teams..not that it mattered we didnt go to a bowl.but it does clarify.Clemson is stated as having 7 wins if they DO win, which means only one of the two FCS wins would count which lines up with the rules where it states that:
11/23/2008 8:02:41 PM
^^ there's likely no replay since it was not an ESPN game.
11/23/2008 8:05:23 PM
wtf is the deal with teams scheduling 2 fcs teams. It looks like Clemson, GT, and FSU were all pussing out this year.
11/23/2008 8:07:25 PM
^^^so in other words, your post DOESNT answer the question, at least not directlyalso, based on your reply, i feel like you are not understanding what we are asking.obviously, clemson is currently 6-5, and in a normal year, would already be bowl eligible but since they played two 1-aa teams, they need that 7th win. this is clear and everyone in this thread understands it.the question comes in when comparing a hypothetical 6-6 ncsu team to a hypothetical 7-5 clemson team as far as this 7-5 always over 6-6 rule is concerned. as far as this rule is concerned, is clemson 7-5 and would be above us at 6-6 or is clemson 6-5 and be in the same boat as us at 6-6? that is the fundamental question that we are trying to get answered, and unfortunatley we would prob need some sort of ncaa/acc official to tell us.[Edited on November 23, 2008 at 8:12 PM. It's going to be a different brand of football when we have 85 guys on scholarship that have been evaluated by TOB and his staff, and that includes their abilities on the field and their attitudes off the field. I can't begin to think how many headaches he's had with Amato's guys, not to mention the injuries. Wilson's something-teen:1 TD:INT ratio is staggering, and if we get back just half, not all, the TD drops he's clsoing in on a 20:1 TD:INT....unbelieveable for a guy with 8 games under his belt.ed-So we need South Carolina to beat Clemson and who else???[Edited on November 23, 2008 at 8:42 PM.
