Quote :
"I thought Anderson was doing better, why switch to Quinn?"

Doing "better" than how Anderson was playing is still mediocre. They're 3-5, and already 1-3 in the division. They might as well see what they've got in Quinn.

No, you should continue to enjoy the quiet dignity of leading your league in points scored on the bench.

you at least need another RB. remember that in the playoffs you need the best starting lineup. the bench is important for matchups and stuff, but do you want to have to choose in the playoffs between 4-5 top WRs for 3 spots?

it's better to get value for those guys and have a few solid RBs, especially with Bush out.

^^it does suck. i usually leave 30-40 pts on the bench...

especially with royal blowing up every other week with return yards. sigh...i need a rb...

Thank you Steelers D. I overcame a 13 point deficit, with my opponent having Jeff Reed at kicker. I win by 5, thanks to the D.

Survived the onslaught of the Steelers D and Clinton Portis to take over first place with a .3 point victory.

Question for this coming week:
Pick 2:
Tim Hightower vs San Fran
Vincent Jackson vs KC
Braylon Edwards vs Denver
Dwayne Bowe vs San Diego

Hightower and Braylon......well Hightower for sure. All 3 WRs could be good. Chambers is back in SD though so Vincent goes back to #2. Braylon will have Brady Quinn throwing him too. Chiefs still suck.

Tim Hightower vs San Fran
Vincent Jackson vs KC

KC SUCKS against big WR's. Look what Bryant did last weekend.

Either way, you can't not start Hightower. I would've assumed Edge would still get 5-10 touches last weekend, they seem to have complete faith in Hightower and if I owned him I would too till he proves otherwise.

Yeah I have to say.... dropping Edgerrin James for Hightower 3 weeks ago was bold to start with, but it seems it will start paying big dividends.

I have Charles and I think he is the better option. Rice is a good pickup, but Harbaugh has not fully committed to him and you could reasonably see a lot of Willis if he can get healthy. On the other hand, Charles is the only option for KC, with Johnson not playing at all next week (and maybe longer) and Smith gone for the year.

Ive got Derek Anderson and Tony Romo in one league, so obviously a new QB is needed. My options are Flacco, Collins and obviously Quinn. I wouldnt consider Flacco, but hes doing pretty good considering, and I won with him in another league last week.

^^ How many do you start? If you only start 2 rb's and 2 wr's I think you are set with your current team. I think AJ is one of the top 5 receivers, if not top 3 week to week and I don't think the loss of Schaub will hurt him that bad. Your RB's aren't too bad, Charles could be a force from here out and I only think Grant and Addai will improve (albeit slowly) as the season progresses.

^ Flacco or Quinn aren't too bad of options till Romo comes back. Probably Flacco would be my first choice though.

This question would've been crazy a few weeks ago

but someone offered me Peyton Manning for Tim Hightower and I'm leaning toward rejecting it

I got ROFL, Pennington and I just picked up Rosenfels as my QB's

I got Jamal Lewis, J Stewart, Mcgahee, McFadden and FWP as my RB's

Smart call, or am I blinded by Hightower's upside ?

While Peyton is definitely having a down year the main problem with Hightower is his rough playoff schedule. Indy however does have a very favorable playoff schedule for Peyton (Cin, Det, @Jax). Although looking at it none of your RB's really seem to have a great schedule. Peyton might come up big for you in those last few games and could win your playoff matchups on his own, in my opinion Hightower can't.

Yeah, I mean I think its a trade you have to take. We don't know how Hightower will hold up as the feature back, he might go down with an injury next week or Edge might start taking carries, I think while he has a ton of upside right now hes still a potential bust.

I think I'm going to take it but wait until the lineups are locked for this week

Peytons got a bad matchup with Pitt so I wouldn't play him anyway

and Hightower should be able to stomp SF

Pick 3

Wayne @ Pitt
Colston @ Atl
Curtis v. NYG
Burress @ Phi
A. Gonzalez @ Pitt

It's really between the top 4 there. Colston and Burress are so inconsistent, and Wayne has a brutal matchup. The only one I really feel confident about is Curtis. He had 11 targets last week, so he's very active.

thoughts?

^^ Good idea, that should work for you.

^
I'd play Wayne, Colston and Curtis, which seems to be who you were leaning towards. I think Colston will get it going, give him and Brees more time to get their connection going again, hes too talented not to produce.

you cant sit Burress over Curtis, cmon

anyhow, got a decision to make

Favre is my mine QB in one league. I need to pick up a backup for him.

Should I go with Rosenfels who has had a 220 yd 1TD game or more each game that he has played this season or chance it with Brady Quinn

Depends on how needy you are. Sage will be there 2-3 weeks and be a solid play since he and AJ have good chemistry. But if you're looking for the rest of the year, Quinn could be a decent play, they do have Denver this week and he has some weapons.

So I missed on Hightower on waivers, but I picked up Jamaal Charles, hopefully that works out long-term.

So weekly start'em issues: (* is current starter)

RB:
*T. Jones vs. STL (he's been hot lately)
J. Lewis vs. Den (he's been ok but Denver is terrible)

QB:
*M. Ryan vs. NO (he just gets better each week, NO D isn't scary)
J. Delhomme vs. Oak(usually a no-brainer for a QB play against Oak but I think they'll run the ball early and often)

no question play T.Jones against STL who has a terrible defense overall (if CLE goes down quick against Denver's ridiculous pass game, they will abandon the run)

definitely start Delhomme against the worst team in the NFL (IMO)

honestly, i was thinking leon washington might be a better play against STL than thomas jones. washington has that big play ability and will likely get the work after the game is a blowout (favre/cotch/coles big early).

the trade i was considering earlier (lose andre, get marshawn)... i countered with sending andre away for marshawn + chris chambers. i like that a lot better. i am last in the league and need help NOW if i want to make a push for the playoffs. i think marshawn/chambers would help me more immediately than andre will. he probably won't accept it though.

"RYAN TORAIN v. Cle OR
JAMAAL CHARLES v. SD"
I would go with Charles.... I think that game turns into some kind of freakish shootout. I'm not sold on Torain yet (but I'm not sold on Charles either..) so whatever, but I'd go Charles.

pick 2:

ryan cant do shit grant vs MIN
joseph let me addai vs. pit
jamaal charles vs sd
jonathan stewart vs oak
tj duckett vs mia

*I am 2-7 and need to win out to make the playoffs... I need POINTS/TDS! I can't really afford to play a guy who "might have a good day"... I need points. Duckett?

I need advice, it seems like all my WRs are virtually equal in potential fantasy points.

Pick 3 WRs

Plaxico vs. Eagles
Matt Jones (jaguars) vs. Lions
Eddie Royal vs. Browns
Muhammad vs. Raiders
Lance Moore vs. Falcons

And which kicker? both have pretty good matchups

Kasay vs raiders, or Elam vs saints?

but i'm not sure how good matt jones is this year.

as far as kicker goes, i'd choose kasay. dude is guaranteed at least 1-2 field goals a game

steve slaton (vs bal, 4th rush d)
