My damn loud mouth assed roommate decided to try and make conversation with me during the first few minutes of the show, when Peter was talking to Nathan. He got the hint to STFU when I responded to his comments with grunts and silence.

Tell that asshole to shut the fuck up till a commercial. I do it to my wife when she's running her trap, and she's done it to me when she's into something.[Edited on March 5, 2007 at 10:36 PM. Reason : ]

so the spidey preview is basically the entire sequence of harry attacking peter in the air, pretty cool but a lot of glaring CGI
3/5/2007 10:40:08 PM
3/5/2007 10:46:20 PM
i thought the extended spidey preview was great. i never understood why people complained so much when they could tell something was cgi. i thought it looked great
3/5/2007 11:32:54 PM
if you slow-mo the preview you can see sylar looking scared as shit, peter with a blood mark on his forhead, but otherwise fine, and mohinder falling to the ground[Edited on March 5, 2007 at 11:50 PM. Reason : spelling sucks]
3/5/2007 11:50:19 PM
Thought it was a very good episode...fast past...but set alot up for the final episodes...I like the idea of new characters & plots, and I am sure that a core of characters will survive and show up here and there through-out the next few seasons a la 24ish instead of Lostish as was given in the earlier post. I am very interested in what characters live and hold tru to make the story roll on and which take a nasty fall...The spidey 3 preview..I thought was kool. I don't really get or understand why so many people cry over CGI??? III

I don't think peter is dead, and i don't care if isaac dies.I'm glad Hiro is back though, I really like his power, and I hope they show it/use it more. I'm intrigued to see if this whole scar thing all works out, and is not a fluke.

finally sitting down to watch the episode nowpeter is the most annoying little toolbag on the showgod fucking dammit why can't they just kill his pathetic piece of shit character off
3/6/2007 3:09:06 AM
but, what would really set the shit off is if part of new york really were destroyed at the end of the seasonwe don't need this shit to end peachywe need some irreversible death and destruction
3/6/2007 3:40:23 AM
So how did Sylar manage to switch off the IV without his powers?
3/6/2007 9:23:19 AM
i think he was underestimated. i think it probably temporarily disabled his powers but being that his powers are actually a part of him, once he gained conciousness he was able to 'figure out' how to readjust himself via his powers.
3/6/2007 9:25:15 AM
dosage probably wasn't strong enough
3/6/2007 9:35:19 AM
It wasn't strong enough and I'm sure he wanted the tests done so he could get the more advanced list, he was just playing along.
3/6/2007 10:05:47 AM
having seen the list once already (or at least a partial list), he should have it memorized, right? Using the waitresses learning-power, he should be able to see it once and remember everything. that was pretty cool when he had Mohinder pinned to the ceiling. I didn't see it closely - did he nail him in some way to the ceiling, or was he holding him there with his telekinesis?
3/6/2007 10:39:18 AM
Oh I'm sure when Suresh showed him the list he memorized the entire thing on the spot, but Suresh then tempted him with saying he could get an even bigger list, so he just played along in hopes of getting more names.I just watched the promo for the next episode, seems we have Future Hiro returning (Or maybe Hiro running into himself in the future?).
3/6/2007 10:41:16 AM
3/6/2007 10:47:41 AM
^^ oh wait.... i wonder when Suresh figured out he was Syler. If he figured it out soon enough, he would have shown Syler a fake list and baited him with a bigger list to make sure Syler behaved. Of course, I guess syler has full access to all lists and files now that Suresh is, umm.... incapacitated
3/6/2007 10:56:30 AM
This week's graphic novel fills in between last episode and this episode.Mr. Bennet has Wireless to help him now, and he wants to bring down the company. The man who is his superior is named Thompson.
3/6/2007 10:57:38 AM
I didn't think Sylar had the waitress' powers, since Hiro went back in time and got her away from the diner on that day. They weren't very clear on exactly what happened after he left, whether or not sylar still got her powers, or she just died from a brain tumor.
3/6/2007 11:01:05 AM
I don't know if I can last a month and a half [Edited on March 6, 2007 at 11:02 AM. Reason : will new graphic novels still come out?]
3/6/2007 11:01:50 AM
I'm not explaining this again ...CHARLIE IS DEAD BECAUSE SYLAR KILLED HER AND TOOK HER POWER.Hiro goes back in time to save her, loses his power and winds up in the present in Japan. When he gets back to Ando at the Burnt Toast diner, Charlie is STILL DEAD FROM SYLAR.Pretty neat that Hiro can teleport more people than just himself. This is the first time he's done that I think.[Edited on March 6, 2007 at 11:09 AM. Reason : ]
3/6/2007 11:06:54 AM
I need that explained just one more time....thanks III
3/6/2007 11:16:34 AM
the whole blowing himself up thing....IT'S TO KILL SYLAR..... DURRRR....
3/6/2007 11:48:00 AM
3/6/2007 12:47:35 PM
I'm thinking it wouldn't take much telekinetic effort to move the little IV switch. Sylar could have been focusing his efforts on trying to nudge it the entire time he was sitting there. I'd buy that. Either Suresh was a complete idiot for thinking he could contain Sylar, or he just didn't know his full capabilities.
3/6/2007 2:26:57 PM
Sylar can't kill Peter with Tele. power. Think about it...Sylar has to cut his skull and examine the brain....he cannot injure the brain....peter uses clares power and he is as good as new...
3/6/2007 3:14:52 PM
the claire healing factor isn't instantaneous, and apparently the brain has to be unobstructed in order for the regeneration to function.Plus, we've never seen what Sylar actually does with the stolen brain. Someone said he eats it. For all I know he just looks real close at it then throws it away. [Edited on March 6, 2007 at 3:25 PM. Reason : edit]
3/6/2007 3:22:57 PM
sounded like he eats the brain when he started saying "I just want to get my hands on that list so I can sink my teeth into...." and then he stopsmightve been getting ready to say that he wants to sink his teeth into the other hero's brains. of course he couldve been talking about sinking his teeth into something else, but this seems to make the most sense
3/6/2007 4:04:48 PM
I'm guessing peter uses Sylar's tele. power to knock sylar away and then heals
3/6/2007 4:16:34 PM
It seems like sylar wouldn't be any match for peter, since he would pick up all of sylar's powers.
3/6/2007 4:35:52 PM
well sylar would be more experienced w/the powers. i think peter has the upper hand based on the other powers he has though. invisibility, mind reading, healing, stopping time, flying...etc
3/6/2007 5:19:47 PM
Yeah and if he wanted to, he could freeze time, then paint what Sylar is gonna do next
3/6/2007 5:26:05 PM
Sylar's powers: Freeze things, excellent hearing, excellent memory, change states of things, telekinesis, and figuring out how things work.Peter's powers: flight, invisibility, healing, telekinesis, painting the future, hearing people's thoughts, and possibly time travel although we haven't seen it yet.I'd say advantage Peter personally, but they both have handful of nifty abilities and a showdown between the two should be really good. Peter can go invisible, but Sylar could still hear him, etc.[Edited on March 6, 2007 at 5:38 PM. Reason : ]
3/6/2007 5:35:45 PM
^But Peter can use Sylar's power during the battle if he can figure them out...Advantage completely Peter I say... III
3/6/2007 5:38:54 PM
i'm wondering what the deal is with the Zane ability, where he liquidated toasters. Does it make matter spontaneously separate or just affect metals? Seems Sylar could just touch Peter and turn him to mush. He wouldn't get a brain, but if was a matter of survival, Peter wouldn't see it coming. As of the last episode Sylar has an extreme advantage as Peter has reacted like a scared schoolboy. I still think Peter can own him, but not sure why he's letting Sylar cut his head up first.
3/6/2007 5:57:31 PM
So they can leave us in another cliffhanger, that's why.
3/6/2007 6:00:41 PM
Yeah, Peter would have the upper hand if he knew all Sylar could do. Peter still learning how to fully control and bring about his abilities...Sylar has had alot longer....and they have been telling Peter to fear Sylar and that he is the ultimate evil...So I think Peter is still scared and quasi unsure of himself...But he will own Sylar, and still explode...question is, will he live to tell about it...and according to how the show has laid it out, he will be in the future...but will he be a hero or a crippled or something? III
3/6/2007 6:02:21 PM
Does Claire feel pain at all, or is pain significantly numbed? I don't know about you, but regardless of whether or not I knew it wouldn't kill me, I doubt I'd be able to control myself enough to do anything useful (like inject someone with tranquilizer) while feeling all the skin and flesh on my body being seared off. If Peter couldn't feel anything Sylar did to him, I think that would give him the obvious upper hand.
3/6/2007 6:25:39 PM
This explains the scar Hiro was talking about.Well, not really, because he can fully regenerate -- but maybe he doesn't do it in this case for some reason.
3/6/2007 6:34:36 PM
i don't think it explains it. he should be able to heal it. i think maybe the scar is referring to the fact that "future peter" never got claire's ability to heal.
3/6/2007 7:16:58 PM
Is it possible the scar comes from blowing up NY? I am thinking he may somehow survive the nuclear blow, but will be left with a significant scar...or maybe just maybe.....This does cause the scar, and Peter decides not to heal the scar....(Stoopid....but hey-some people like scars-but I think that would be lame) III
3/6/2007 7:38:23 PM
I'm gonna guess that the writers will have this (Sylar's head cut) explain the scar. I think they may have outsmarted themselves by having Peter gain Claire's healing ability and they'll choose to ignore that detail by giving Peter the scar. It seems like some issues they decide to leave vague, like (so far) how Sylar actually gains abilities. It's hard to say for sure what they'll do, have to wait and see.[Edited on March 6, 2007 at 7:46 PM. Reason : edit]

i'm disappointed that sylar's super hearing ability didn't continue to inhibit him in this episode...but whatever. solid episode...very excited for april 23rd.
