Guess I'm drinking the Kool-Aid then because I'm excited about most of the changes I've seen on mmo-champion.

I like the idea of a class with only activated abilities.
I like the idea of battling pets.
I like the class changes. LOL LOCK BUBBLE
I like more open world pvp and world raid bosses.
I like level 90 Scarlet Monastery and Scholomance.
I like challenge mode dungeons.

LFR I don't know about because for me LFD has been a suckfest. How can people still suck so hard?

people suck so hard because they're all geeked up about a fucking pokemon rehash and making the game simpler. the players that enjoyed the challenge of the game are either playing with their tested friends/guildmates or have quit.

IMO, a Vanilla server would only be great if you had a TON of each faction. There are so many terrible and outdated features with it that would drive me crazy now. The spirit of Vanilla lies in landing at a flight point in an unexpected clusterfuck of 100 of the other faction and the ensuing massive battle.

I hadn't played since Vanilla, never even raided, but I picked up Cataclysm and started raiding no problem. I don't understand what everyone says about Cata being inaccessible to newbies. About to grab up my legendary in a few weeks.

Been 6/7 heroic Fl for a few weeks and like 2 weeks from Dragonwrath at this pace. Cleared 4/8 Dragon Soul but had some people falling asleep on Ultraxion.

Biggest hurdle for DS pugs seems to be Warlord Zon`ozz. I love how raid groups keep wiping over and over and neglect to realize that having a healer putting out 7-8k hps is what's holding us back.

For this raid, the RL offered sign-ups for people to run strategy for individual bosses in exchange for first pick of the loot.

I got conscripted to run Zon'ozz. Only wiped a couple times though. As soon as the dumbass melee figured out how to turn off the blinders and move it was a cake walk. Oh, and the Tier gloves dropped. Horay for not having to roll against paladins for a change!

Back into FL tonight for hopefully a quick heroic clear for essences and maybe some more shots at Ultraxion and beyond!

Zon'ozz is a hurdle because you actually have to do something. The first boss is a joke. PUGs are going to fail at the rest of the bosses until people out-gear it to the point of zerging them. In fact, I'm pretty sure the Raid Finder strat for Zon'ozz is to just zerg it.

I'm not too sure about that fight. You can't just ignore the ping pong mechanic, even in LFR. Someone has to be handling it, be it a smart tank or whatever.

Bleh, the GL decided to stay in Dragon Soul this week instead of working on my staff at all so no progression there. 160/250. Did clear all the way up to Madness though so that was cool.

Madness 10 down, on to Heroics. Still don't have my legendary so if these fuckers keep not clearing FL every week I'm going to start rolling on weapon upgrades in Dragon Soul and if the GM talks any more shit I'm going to gquit right before I turn in the quest.

Another Madness clear, but stuttered this week thanks to people being gone for the holidays. Maybe there will be a Christmas miracle on Monday and we'll get a strong enough group to go back to FL and finish up my Legendary quest finally. If we clear every boss on Heroic and kill Rag on regular I should have enough.

Haven't quit and gone to the Old Republic.

It's hit that time in every expansion cycle where subs will drop off till MoP hits. I myself have unsubbed till MoP. It's always fun to play at the beginning of an expansion, but i'm sure i'll end up unsubbing again not too long after it launches.

Yeah, my old 25 man guild recently reformed as a 10man guild. We casually raid 1 night a week and we're already 6/8 HM DS in 3 weeks from being back. 8 out of 10 of us had mostly HM FL gear starting out and only 1 of us had any experience in DS.

The place is a joke.

Not everyone is a pro raider and you've had months of nerfs and guides on your side. Only 1.15% of guilds have completed Madness heroic. Seems hard enough to me.

right because judging an instance by its final boss heroic mode is the proper gauge.

stepping into an instance for the first time and full clearing it within 4 hours after only doing LFR is crazy.

I'm saying your experience is atypical, and has the backing of months of nerfs and strategy guides.

Not every 10 people who play this game can waltz into Dragon Soul in LFR-only gear (though I'm a little dubious of this claim since you can get 397 gear from Valor points, but I digress) and clear it in 4 hours. Not even a majority of them can. You're l33t, man!
