If you are still considering voting for Trump, you should watch the recent SNL Weekend Update. nnot necessarily for the jokes, it just had a good compilation of recent clips of Trump and Kamala on the campaign trail. There's a lot I don't like about Kamala's personality, but Trump is unstable and something is clearly wrong with him.

I get it. I voted (D) in every partisan race yesterday, and I find them absolutely loathsome and contrary to my ideology. It was 100% a vote against their (R) opposition--0% a vote for them.
11/3/2024 1:06:03 PM
Voted mostly R except for Scott where I went libertarian. What did you vote on the amendments? I was no on 4, yes on weed. My wife was no on weed. Was really on the fence about weed. I hated smelling it everywhere in California. Already smell it periodically here on the beach probably will get worse with real legalization. At the same time would prefer they spent the time getting fentanyl dealers.
11/3/2024 2:30:39 PM
voted Democrat on every partisan race but not because they earned my voteit's because the GOP has earned my distrust and disgust
11/3/2024 2:48:01 PM
^^ 1. NO on making school boards partisan elections2. NO on constitutional right to fish and hunt (I'm generally for less restriction, and I'm all for managing wildlife populations through hunting, and while I'm very pro-environment, I'm not a Sierra Club/Greenpeace type). It just seems like this was a solution in search of a problem, that might come with undesirable negative effects. Like, I don't perceive that there is any excessive governmental action precluding people from fishing and hunting, or any effort to pursue such action.3. YES on recreational marijuana4. NO on limiting government interference with abortion.I think that the current state law is too restrictive. However, I don't necessarily think that it should be against the state constitution to enact any restriction whatsoever prior to viability (which I don't think is strictly defined, but sounds like approximately the 3rd trimester or maybe slightly before).I went back and forth on this one and was pretty close to 50/50, but ultimately decided "NO", as it seems more likely that voting this down and holding to a status quo that is probably ultimately untenable will force future legislation or a ballot initiative that is a little more measured in its approach. That's not ideal; I get that there are real consequences. It was my best judgment for mitigating the heavy-handed actions of ideologues on both sides.5. YES to inflation-indexing property tax exemptions6. NO to repealing public campaign financing option for candidates who agree to spending limits^ Right. Purely voting against. Dems, I'm disgusted by and disagree with, and fear them contributing to a chronic malaise.GOP = all of the above negatives, plus I hold outright contempt for them and fear acute destruction to our society in ways not easily or quickly resolved.[Edited on November 3, 2024 at 3:32 PM. Obviously lots of people who voted for Trump in 2020 will vote for him in 2024 and lots of people who voted against him in 2020 will vote against him in 2024.It seems there are plenty of folks who voted for him in 2020, but got turned off by the whole insurrection thing, or realizing he's a fascist or conman or nearly an octogenerian who may not vote for him again. But I don't see much rationale for people who voted against him in 2020 to now want to vote for him in 2024. I'm sure there are some, but I can't really think of any plausible reasons other than misogyny. So if he lost in 2020, not sure how he's gonna win in 2024. I suppose there are some people who didn't vote in 2020 who will vote for him in 2024, but there are plenty of those people who will vote for the first time for Harris as well.
11/3/2024 8:23:11 PM
^maybe racism to a less degree of misogyny. Those blue wall votors, or ga/arizona...the older whites that voted for biden reluctantly but would never vote for a black person[Edited on November 3, 2024 at 8:27 PM. ^^^yeah, I don’t see him gaining voters. I think the main theory is the number of people that actually will go vote this year is going to be lower. I’m feeling kind of cautiously optimistic at this point. The only thing that would really surprise me would be some kind of massive red wave. I think trump could win, and I also think there’s the possibility for a big blue wave, and anything in between those two.I am quite worried about possible violence on Tuesday and after if Trump loses (if he wins we have much bigger problems)[Edited on November 3, 2024 at 8:49 PM. Oyster sampler with a dozen was like $9.99 back then. Got two, and some other app that brought it up to $30 for food. Same sampler is like $24 now. This is the best I could find: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/917-E-Lee-St-APT-1-Pensacola-FL-32503/2082048677_zpid/$1350 in 2019 to $1850 now. Kind of a shit hole too. Nice places are closer to $3k.https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1214-N-7th-Ave-Pensacola-FL-32503/44718649_zpid/This one is $1700, 1100sq ft. Was obviously a flip, could have bought for $132k a few years ago and sold for $250k recently. There are homes listed for over $1 mil in my neighborhood. Somehow the schools are still terrible.
