Malcom Floyd was never a "special teams demon".Danario Alexander is pretty good. Gates can still play.Poor protection and lack of talent around Rivers doesn't excuse his penchant for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

hope all this means i can get tickets for the raiders game cheap, definitely need to watch the chargers suck up close and in person
12/3/2012 11:45:43 AM
Are you sure you want to watch Raider fans take over the Q again?
12/3/2012 12:04:14 PM
People confusing Malcolm Floyd with Kassim Osgood ITT
12/3/2012 12:25:18 PM
yeah, i would prefer a different opponent but it's the only home game i'm in town for in two seasons

He's pont shaving to get rid of norv
12/16/2012 4:32:54 PM
is it time for phil to hang it up? geez..
12/16/2012 4:36:43 PM
outpanthering the panthers
12/16/2012 4:43:46 PM
LOL fuck was that throw
12/16/2012 6:19:56 PM
He has quit on norv, like the rest of the team
12/16/2012 6:23:30 PM
i think he was supposed to throw it to mcmichael, which would have been a pick 6, so he just threw it into his feetthe best part was the WELP look he gave afterwards, even he knows these calls are dumbwhy are the announcers talking up norv? "look at the results?!"
12/16/2012 6:31:32 PM
Rivers is pretty terrible
12/16/2012 6:49:30 PM
you can look at it two ways:1) Phil is slow as shit and that's why he gets sacked so muchor2) Phil isn't as good at football as we thought he was and it's finally starting to show
12/16/2012 6:51:23 PM
3) His offensive line is terrible, was sacked 6 times todayHis head coach should be a coordinatorHis 1st round RB is bad even when healthy
12/16/2012 8:03:06 PM
Rivers is turning into SD's version of Delhomme, unfortunately.
12/16/2012 8:22:08 PM
where are all the bandwagon Chargers fans?
12/16/2012 8:30:31 PM
^^^ his O-line is really bad, but do you think that RW, RG3, Cam, Kaepernick, etc would get sacked as often as Phil does?the era of plodding QBs is over
12/16/2012 8:41:56 PM
^^ I'm still a Charger fan, and I will continue to be one after they cut/trade Phil. I'm not spending another dime on that team as long as Norv is coach, however. Made that decision 2 years ago.
12/16/2012 8:50:37 PM
it might be time for him to call it a career
8/15/2013 8:45:19 PM
If breeze and manning are still gold Rivers is good to go. Fuck any team cutler is on
8/15/2013 10:21:48 PM
I saw about 4 minutes of the game yesterday while eating dinner.I saw rivers get sacked for 9 yardsthrows a pick on the next down.minute later chargers intercept it againI see a short dink to gatesnext play gets sacked and fumbles.sad as it seems, dude is on a downward spiral. If he has another season like last year, he just might get released (that said, I don't know where he is in his current contract.. may be prohibitive to do so).
8/16/2013 9:21:02 AM
Yeah Rivers sucked donkey dick last night. He just cannot move and the Charger O-line is awful. Granted it was preseason, but good night the Chargers are going to be terrible this year.
8/16/2013 9:50:33 AM
having that said, I would LOVE to see Philip released and signed by the Bears
8/16/2013 9:58:31 AM
He's in dire need of a change in scenery. Zero oline or weapons. Team is in shambles. He'd be perfect on a team like Houston where he would be an upgrade.
8/16/2013 11:18:57 AM
He'd be a great Cardinal or Jet
8/16/2013 11:20:54 AM
Rivers in NYC would be hilarious on so many levels.
8/16/2013 11:26:20 AM
He'd be great anywhere he has a beastly o-line and can sit in the pocket while scanning downfield. He's arguably the least mobile QB in the NFL (Arguable if Brady is slower). And for chrissakes, they need to get the guy a left guard. He gets hit from the blind side almost constantly. He also needs receivers. He's never had an elite receiving corps, much less a strong group since his first couple of years. VJ was a beast, but the holdout and off field issues limited his effectiveness.Since LT/MT the running game has been abysmal. That follows a poor offensive line as well. I think Rivers' personality has hurt him here-- his competitiveness led him to try to do too much, and often holds the ball too long or forces throws that lead to turnovers. I'd argue that's evolved from "trying to do too much" to making a habit of bad decisions. He'd be an upgrade for a lot of teams.... if they can put together a solid OL. otherwise, he's just sackbait. I plan on trying to pick up whatever defense he's going up against this fantasy season. the turnover points will be huge.
8/16/2013 12:40:58 PM
I honestly can't think of another team so void of talent at the 10 other offensive positions. Says it all that Max Starks is an upgrade at LT and that guy doesn't even budge off of the line of scrimmage before Rivers is demolished from the blind side. Unfortunately AJ Smith ran this team into the ground during the prime of Rivers' career. Any talented offensive player left. With the Chargers' first 3 picks since 2009 the guy drafted 2 offensive players (Ryan Matthews and Louis Vasquez) and yet the defense is still middle of the road.Have to hope he can get out of there and salvage his career somewhere.
8/16/2013 1:49:42 PM
rivers' shoulder is fucked.he could resurrect his career if he went to a team that would actually sign/draft decent talent on offense.
8/16/2013 2:50:02 PM

8/17/2013 10:09:27 AM
That article gave me a headache reading it because it sucked so bad
8/17/2013 1:59:49 PM
Good QBs make WRs good. Now the o-line...And where did the Marmalard nick name come from?

Philip went undrafted in my 12-team, 15-round fantasy draft
8/28/2013 10:59:29 PM
Watching the 2003 NC State vs. ND Gator Bowl right now. Damn our offense was sooo explosive. Miss seeing Philip in the pocket. What a great team (even with all the penalties)!
8/28/2013 11:56:56 PM
What a scramble. Most immobile QBs couldn't make that run. I'm looking at you, Papa John.
9/9/2013 11:45:02 PM
Welcome back

9/10/2013 12:02:51 AM
Dude's anti clutch
9/10/2013 1:46:57 AM
his O-line is like if Michael Strahan's teeth and RGIII's teeth had sex
9/10/2013 1:49:35 AM
the ghost of NC State is upon him and it will ride him to his demise
