6/4/2008 6:42:46 PM
*yawn*. work is boring as usual, but it beats the alternative...
6/4/2008 6:56:31 PM

6/5/2008 9:16:23 AM
6/5/2008 9:17:03 AM

6/5/2008 9:17:18 AM
6/5/2008 9:17:59 AM
No where near enough sleep last night.
6/5/2008 9:29:09 AM
aw. my coworkers got a little going away thing and are taking me out to lunch. they're sweet.
6/5/2008 10:59:23 AM
That was nice of them!Mine will be pissed whenever I finally get to tell them I'm leaving....I can't wait
6/5/2008 11:03:33 AM
Currently 81 degrees in my office and climbing
6/5/2008 11:34:00 AM
mine still doesn't have ac, I'm so ready to go home and it's vibrating because people are drilling next door ]
6/6/2008 10:57:28 AM
One good thing about interning at a mechanical/electrical engineering firm is the AC always works great.
6/6/2008 11:09:07 AM
bored
6/6/2008 11:10:23 AM
^^ so true.Off in half an hour. woot
6/6/2008 11:11:22 AM
I hate you
6/6/2008 11:24:33 AM
i've got AC. and it feels soooo
6/6/2008 6:43:04 PM
I'm working from home today because they're repairing the AC at work, and I don't have to go in until 1pm tomorrow
6/9/2008 11:43:25 AM
Nice. I was the only one in my group who came in today.
6/9/2008 11:44:35 AM
it's about lunch. can take a break from tww now.
6/9/2008 11:47:44 AM
Despite the fact that it's 100 degrees outside, I have my space heater running
6/9/2008 11:52:51 AM
You work in a freezer or something?
6/9/2008 11:54:39 AM
Apparently our office has really crappy temperature distribution, so while the people along one wall are pretty hot, my hallway is freezing. Of course they stuck four women on the hall, and we all run our heaters almost all the time.
6/9/2008 11:56:04 AM
That makes so much sense. It's 100 degrees out but the AC is too cold so you run space heaters. Lol. Have you tried closing the supply vents?
6/9/2008 12:00:45 PM
It's one of those square overhead thingies.
6/9/2008 12:01:28 PM
duct tape+cardboard
6/9/2008 12:02:00 PM
I'm thinking the boss man wouldn't like that too much.
6/9/2008 12:02:40 PM
tell him you'd be saving him money. Blocking off the ac vents would save the company the money of running the ac in that section AND eliminating the space heaters. Having the ac in your area PLUS the space heaters is very counter-productive.
6/9/2008 12:04:11 PM
I know. Hence my earlier frowny face. He knows we do it.
6/9/2008 12:05:50 PM
get promoted by suggesting moving the thermostat and saving $texas for the company in energy costs.
6/9/2008 12:08:30 PM
This issue has been addressed, people. I think the people in the warmer offices should get fans, since that would actually make sense, but nobody else seems to agree.
6/9/2008 12:10:42 PM
I'm usually cold up front, but I love my little summer-weight cashmere cardigan! It's the best and keeping you at the perfect temp
6/9/2008 12:11:31 PM
6/9/2008 12:11:36 PM
sorry this made me lol
6/9/2008 12:13:37 PM
I'm not really understanding why that's funny at all.
6/9/2008 12:19:14 PM
because i'm designing an hvac system and running loads in order to avoid the problems you're having for a new office building being built.[Edited on June 9, 2008 at 12:27 PM. Reason : and moving the thermostat to a different part of the office will change the temp distribution]
6/9/2008 12:24:42 PM
Oh, that makes more sense. I thought you were picking on my word choice or something.
6/9/2008 12:26:23 PM
Yeah, you shouldn't use big words like "distribution" on msg boards.
6/9/2008 1:19:54 PM
^^ haha no just crappy hurry up jobs by hvac contractors keep guys like my boss, and in turn me employed.
6/9/2008 1:34:01 PM
It's a gloriously slow night tonight
6/9/2008 5:20:30 PM
it's 88 degrees in my office and I wanna go hoooome
6/11/2008 10:54:04 AM
So go home.
6/11/2008 10:59:50 AM
^^why is it 88 degrees in your office?
6/11/2008 11:01:18 AM
sometime last week an AC unit broke and they were going to repair it yesterday, but apparently did not They're saying it'll be fixed by 1, but I don't believe them.
6/11/2008 11:06:00 AM
here
6/11/2008 11:07:04 AM
My house AC failed but luckily it just needed freon. I was scared I'd have to get a new unit.I've done a total of no more than 2 hours of work today and I've been here 5 hours so far. The person I need to talk to about a project is always away from her desk, either meeting with someone, out of the office, or goofing off in the break room.
6/11/2008 3:03:39 PM
i am freaking tired and ready to go home. still over 2 hours to go
6/11/2008 3:09:33 PM
I wish my chair was one of the risey-fally kinds. I want to feel taller.
6/11/2008 3:14:19 PM
i'm tired of this shit
6/11/2008 3:14:21 PM
Time to go home!!!Goodnight TWW
