need some advice... This is going to be my first bike, so before anyone says... LOL250!!!1.. this is what I've decided onGuy had this bike advertised for 2999, when I went to go see it, he told me his bottom-line was 27502006 Ninja 250R700 miles on itLooks like this:made him an offer of 2300 today.. will probably be ok with 2400-2500so.. good deal or not?[Edited on September 11, 2007 at 5:58 PM. Reason : offer]
9/11/2007 5:57:06 PM
I would get a much older 250 if that's what you want. it's been the exact same bike for the last 20 years
9/11/2007 6:41:07 PM
yeah.. i know.. i think this one's pretty though
9/11/2007 6:48:09 PM
dont waste your money, unless you plan to put a ton of miles on the thingget one for a lot cheaper, hell get the GS500 posted up a few
9/11/2007 6:53:18 PM
yeah, i'd get one for cheaper if i really wanted a 250what i'd really do is get an EX500/Ninja 500 (same thing), though (or even GS-500)of course, what I'D really do is get something like a 1st generation SV-650. you could easily get a nice one for the money you're talking about, and it's a helluva lot more motorcycle than a Ninja 250.
9/11/2007 7:44:55 PM
oh yeah I paid $2500 for my 2001 SV650, 5000 original miles.or maybe even find one of these:88-91 Honda NT650 "Hawk GT"[Edited on September 11, 2007 at 8:12 PM. Reason : just trying to shine]
9/11/2007 8:09:15 PM
^that's cuz we hooked u up with that deal my friend . hawk gt's are too expensive and hard to find now a daysfuck a ninja 250. everyone that i know that has one tires of it in less than one month. ppl with gs500's i know keep them for maybe 3 months. get urself a 600 or a liter. the real fun starts once u get a bike with 100+ hp [Edited on September 11, 2007 at 8:12 PM. Reason : .]
9/11/2007 8:12:20 PM
shit....when you know how to back it in the real fun starts at 15.5 hp[Edited on September 11, 2007 at 8:17 PM. Reason : motard]
9/11/2007 8:16:58 PM
dudethat's a work of art
9/11/2007 8:18:16 PM
thanks, and I agree
9/11/2007 8:27:37 PM
haha i dont know whats more interesting: a normal dude on that thingor me (5'6"/140lb) on a cr250 trying to rip around
9/11/2007 8:47:13 PM
^ What about a fat dude on a PW50?
9/11/2007 8:48:53 PM
that might be better.
9/11/2007 10:12:52 PM
Sweet. Someone let me hold one for a minute.
9/11/2007 10:23:13 PM
^^ Hey bud! I saw your bike in the Broughton parking lot :-) Can I saw wow?! I like your bike...
9/11/2007 10:36:07 PM
P nis that is a nice bike! shit looks fun. what motor you got in that?
9/12/2007 12:51:49 AM
'92 Yamaha XJ600 SecaII. ~60hp, 9500rpm redline. Its definitely quick enough for a beginner. As you can see it has been in a collision. It was rear ended and fell on the right side. I replaced the rear wheel and tire after the wreck but the front fairing is gone, along with one of the rear turn signals. The seat is a bit of a pain (but not impossible) to remove and snap back in place. The right passenger peg is in the main peg spot and I have some exhaust tube nagger rigged in the passenger peg spot... Otherwise it runs great and everything works. The risk to fun ratio is a lot higher than skating so I just get my jollies doing that.Offering to you guys first $800obo
9/21/2007 8:02:44 PM
if you are gonna get a ninja 250 just get one made in the 80s for like 1500. the hevent changed anything since 83 or what ever year it was.[Edited on September 21, 2007 at 9:01 PM. Reason : good luck man]

Clean 99 SRAD in Raleigh, he said he'll take $3500.http://carolinahondas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38810
10/14/2007 8:56:46 AM
i wouldn't pay 3500 for a SRAD, especially at this time of year.
10/14/2007 2:32:06 PM
that buell is awesome! The deal almost seems to good to be true, let us know how it goes!
10/14/2007 5:49:33 PM
OK, this year model SRAD with these mods kbb and nada says $4500.Has anybody stopped to think about the Buell, its in Seattle.
10/14/2007 7:22:21 PM
....which is quite close to where the duke lives these days
10/14/2007 7:25:44 PM
^^ for a cop, you arent very perceptive.
10/14/2007 7:31:30 PM
i would pay 3500 for that srad. the 600 carb'd ones got the bad wrap. the 750 98+ fi'd were very good bikes. even the ****** who own half of them cant seem to blow them up.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------and the buell xb9 will get old in about a day. i ride a xb12r every now and again.. it handles very nicely once u hit twisties, specially on switch backs. Overall though they are pretty annoying.rumble like a bitch below 4500 (yes i know harley's do this. it's just fucking annoying, bolts rattle themselves loose and the guy has had numerous bulbs break bc of this)u gas it no power, then u hit 4500+ it smooths out get a rush of power then u hit the 6500 rpm redline (i can only imagine how weak a xb9 would feel). the fuel injection at times seems worse than my tl's. it will randomly stall out at lights. and this bike is dealer maintained and well taken care of. just the nature of the buell.also they run hot as fuck, the front rotors LOVE to warp, and they only have 5 gears.[Edited on October 14, 2007 at 10:38 PM. Optimus you try to get your rocks off where ever you can don't you? On another note Buells are nice bikes they just require a certain kind of rider. If you own a european car/suv that has to be maintained @ the dealer then you'll love the Buell.
