I do plan to wear the belt since it makes my waist look smaller. The hardware is silver. Here's a picture of me wearing it. I got tiny boobs, so I can't really say if its good for the big breasted girls.

I need help! My workplace has decided to be stricter on it's business professional dress code. Most of my dresses will probably be ok as long as I wear a jacket/blazer to work. But I probably need to shop for some new work outfits nonetheless. Does anyone here wear professional clothes to work? If so, where to you shop?

And most importantly, am I destined to pay $TEXAS every time I want a new work outfit?

When I worked at the tv station, I got most of my work stuffs from GAP and even Ann Taylor (BOFF ON SALE HOLLA).

Their dress pants/trousers are amaze. Fit just like the Theory brand I sold when I worked at Saks...and that costs $Texas.

Try Limited, NY & Co, etc. They have upped their game a bit and all have good prices on sale stuffs.

^^No, you can get perfectly fine professional clothing at Target and other department stores.
Minor tailoring is necessary, and you have to take good care of them since they're not the highest quality.

Otherwise, I'm pretty sure you have a great body so cheaper clothes will still flatter you.
Furthermore, if you're not receiving top pay at your job, nobody expects you to ball out on work clothes.
In fact, if you do invest in a lot of very nice garments, some people may become suspicious/jealous of you
and talk shit about the rich husband you must have. (Not joking, unfortunately.)

Just buy a bare minimum of cheap essentials now. Then keep your eye out for suiting sales and whatnot.

Well I bought a top every now and again from Target and the likes. I have no prob incorporating those type things with my staple pieces. I just made sure my pants/jackets were of better quality. No need in paying all that money for tailoring when you're going to have to buy the pants again in a couple months ya know?

I tried to edit my previous post again, but it failed.

Lots of people at my company make a decent amount of money and dress well. I think I make the standard for my job/age, but I like to spend money on travel, going out with friends, etc. I never plan to spend a lot on clothes, that's just not me. I hope to find a few blazers on super-sale since winter is mostly over, but that can also hurt my chances of finding them.

I've seen some of the stuff at Target, which is where I do most of my "new" clothes shopping anyway. But I'll need a few more staples that what they carry.

Get a couple pairs of black pants, a pair of grey, and even brown if you wanna be crazy.

Then just switch out your tops and you have outfits for dayyyyys.

I seriously wore the same 5 or 6 shirts and kept them super plain. That way I can put on big ole necklaces and make it look a different outfit even tho I may have worn it 4 days ago.

I wish I could wear pants... I mean I can physically wear them. But in the past few years I've noticed that I go through pants too much, because any time I gain or lose a few pounds my pants don't fit anymore.

I've transitioned to almost all dresses for work since my weight fluctuates quite a bit.

I prefer skirts and dresses, but I don't like wearing pantyhose every day.

My wardrobe is bad; it's a hodgepodge of other people's clothes, some stuff from twenty years ago, and a handful of the things I purchased in the past year that still actually fit.

I went on an extensive shopping trip last week, but I couldn't find anything decent. Everything in my pitiful price range was too shabby to warrant a purchase.

Any tips on preventing the afternoon forehead oil slick that starts this time of year? I tried a shine prevention foundation once that I don't remember helping. I was thinking maybe a foundation primer would help, but if I can avoid having to use a third layer of stuff on my face, I'm all for it. Currently I just use a BB cream to moisturize/SPF and then foundation maybe half the time.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention powder. I don't usually use it, but I started recently to see if it would help. It helps some, but not really all that much. I know I could also use some of those oil-wicking sheets after the fact, but I don't particularly like those.

If you use a BB cream, I would skip the foundation.
But then again, I use a loose powder so that's kinda why I skip the liquid foundation.

I do like using powder, usually a translucent, since I do not like the "dewey" look that many girls go for.

I have quit using bb cream and foundation (never was a fan) both entirely since my face is looking so much better after upping my skincare regimen. even if i get a couple tiny hormonal pimples, i still think i look better without that stuff now.

I use CG Smoothers BB Cream and Covergirl Trublend foundation. I have pretty good skin, no breakouts or anything, and I tend to use foundation more like concealer to reduce darkness under my eyes and even out the color across my cheeks and nose. If I decide to use actual concealer (rarely) it's Benefit. For powder I have a Physicians Formula mineral loose powder.

Definitely not stuck on any of those. I've never ventured far from drugstore brands for this kind of thing because I don't have skin issues or need a ton of coverage. But I'm not opposed to paying more for something that will help with oiliness.

I'll try the magical white powder and go from there.
