look at durant milking that bump on his knee
6/21/2012 11:17:48 PM
Oh yeah Durant never gets any calls How's he go to the line 10 times a game then? And you're making my point for me. Despite all the BS calls that Wade gets, Harden still has far superior shooting stats than Wade in every category.
6/21/2012 11:18:27 PM
I'm not arguing who is better between a bench player like Harden and a washed up player like WadeI'm simply saying the Thunder's true superstars, Durant and Westbrook, don't get the calls that the Heat's superstars getthe eye test makes it obvious, the box scores don't even address it
6/21/2012 11:19:30 PM
Sucks the playoffs are over, my favorite sports time of the year the past several years. Guess we all have to go back to being productive again. No sports for a few months other than the NBA draft. I guess if you're really bored you can pretend to care about the Olympics.Long wait for football season.

Some bitter bitches up in here.
6/21/2012 11:30:10 PM
thats what the Russians said about American basketball fans back in 72
6/21/2012 11:31:41 PM
Lebron absolutely dominated and OKC didn't have it. Battier was one of the top pickups of the off season. Doesn't mean people are going to care for the smug way they often carry themselves or the style of play of guys like battier.
6/21/2012 11:34:50 PM
dude face, don't despair, preseason football will be dick-smacking us in the face before we know itstay strong, brotherstay strong
6/21/2012 11:35:11 PM
THAT'S BULLSHIT THAT WASN'T A FOUL THIS IS A CONSPIRACY GODDAMMIT

I really wish hockey would consider moving their season/playoffs back.I think they really underestimate how many new fans they might pick up. I mean no sports fans (other than diehard hockey nuts) are going to watch that shit over an elite sporting event like the NBA playoffs, but if you put it up against regular season baseball and WNBA then people would have to watch some of it by default. And if you had a compelling playoffs like NYR/Boston instead of it all falling apart like it did this year with all the crap teams like Florida/NJ/etc advancing then you may really make some traction to where you're considered a major sport again.I guess selfishly I'd like to have a watchable sport during the summer and financially it seems like it'd be great for the NHL.
6/21/2012 11:37:05 PM
6/21/2012 11:42:45 PM
Sorry for party rockin
6/21/2012 11:45:05 PM
its pretty sad that one of the worst sports-fans cities in the country gets rewarded with a title just because they happen to be home to a lot of latina dimepieces and no state income tax, intriguing superstars to come there]
6/21/2012 11:45:15 PM
The Thunder are just too emo for their own good.^Don't forget about the Marlins two rings, either. It would be like the Hawks and Braves winning multiple titles. (to a much lesser extent)]
6/21/2012 11:45:35 PM
The talking heads will say Lebron didn't want to be the guy in the big moment and that's why he came off the court with 3 minutes left.
6/21/2012 11:46:30 PM
lol @ battier
6/21/2012 11:47:17 PM
Only 7+ more titles to fulfill Lebron's prediction
6/21/2012 11:48:27 PM
I bet 'Bron has been practicing that hug in the mirror with Luis Tiant
6/21/2012 11:48:46 PM
THAT'S HIS MOM HE'S HUGGING THERE
6/21/2012 11:50:01 PM
I could see the Heat getting ONE more title as currently constructed but two seems like a stretch.
6/21/2012 11:51:19 PM
6/21/2012 11:52:45 PM
so after the media talk about Lebron finally winning a title for the next week or two, and the NBA Draft in a week or so, what will they have to talk about NBA-wise?
6/21/2012 11:56:02 PM
next year
6/21/2012 11:56:44 PM
not much of a series...
6/21/2012 11:56:50 PM
no more
6/21/2012 11:57:13 PM
Spoelstra is about to become a meme
6/21/2012 11:57:33 PM
just spotted Ron Rothstein in the Heat crowd/groupwonder how many Heat fans have even heard of him
6/21/2012 11:58:35 PM
LOL TURN THAT HAT AROUND
6/22/2012 12:00:05 AM
Bill Russell is like "you only gotta win 10 more to catch me"]
6/22/2012 12:02:06 AM
now we're gonna hear about the "king" all year long...[Edited on June 22, 2012 at 12:14 AM. Reason : nba should've stayed locked out.]
6/22/2012 12:13:16 AM
Props to Spoelstra.....gotta respect a guy that worked his way up
6/22/2012 12:18:38 AM
For all the hoopla of Lebron cheating by going to get help with Wade/Bosh and the whole "Wade is Batman, Lebron is Robin" argument that frankly is one of the worst arguments in the history of sports...It's satisfying to see Lebron absolutely carry Wade/Bosh the whole way like that... I mean those guys ended up being one of the weakest supporting casts we've seen win a title in our lifetimes...
6/22/2012 12:51:24 AM
pretty sure Lebron is Batman and Wade is Robin...Bosh is Alfred
6/22/2012 12:54:33 AM
Wade was more like Bosh was more likeChalmers was more likeIf Lebron hadn't saved Wade just in time he would've been all likeFor a minute Russell Westbrook was all like But then Scott Brooks was like "I have an EGGScellent idea to play Derek Fisher all series"And now Lebron is the King Tut of the land[Edited on June 22, 2012 at 1:11 AM. Reason : a]
6/22/2012 1:10:10 AM
here is Kevin Durant trying to deal with David Stern's refs
6/22/2012 1:15:52 AM
6/22/2012 8:04:56 AM
Lebron barrelling into Fisher for a flagrant on Fisher did it for me. Of course that was about the time Perkins committed a dumb wrap up foul on Bosh and Durant made two bad turnovers dribbling through traffic so it was clear the thunder were toast.
6/22/2012 8:16:40 AM
OKC shot more free throws than Miami in 2 out of the 5 games this series. Miami did shoot a little less than 6 more free throws per game...but if you watched the games, it made sense because they attacked the basket with reckless abandon (with the exception of Game 1...where OKC shot 9 more free throws). They were the better team this series and it really wasn't that close.
6/22/2012 8:17:51 AM
Yeah officiating was pretty rough overall but I'd say it was pretty even on bad calls both ways.Who'd have predicted before the series that James Harden would get outplayed by Shane Battier, Mario Chalmers, and Mike Miller? Haha. Guess Herb downplayed all the big games too much to him.
6/22/2012 8:54:17 AM
yea series was decided by 1 lebrons dominance (first player ever with multiple triple doubles in the finals, 26 25+ playoff games yes he broke his own record there) 2 Miami's bench/role player production although that also is partially because of lebrons courtvision and ability to find anyone anywhere on the court. its easy for any nba player to be productive when all they have to do is spread the floor and shoot uncontested 3's. also.... comon bosh
6/22/2012 9:10:01 AM
My words in game 1 comes true:I think it is. I said earlier heat in 7. I would like to change it to 5.[Edited on June 22, 2012 at 9:23 AM. Reason : 1]
6/22/2012 9:22:48 AM
Hey face, you still think Spoelstra made a mistake by playing miller so much last night?
6/22/2012 9:40:44 AM
6/22/2012 9:58:44 AM
any given night
6/22/2012 10:03:38 AM
Those bench players perform better than average on the stage of final because they also want a ring and the unusual atmosphere make them exciting. Especially when your team has the game point in the hand already, you don't have any pressure.[Edited on June 22, 2012 at 10:32 AM. Reason : add another note]
6/22/2012 10:30:27 AM
Seems that even BOS and INDINA can get into western final.
