I always laugh to myself when England chokes. Not that I dislike them at all.. just that it's funny to watch. That's all.
7/1/2006 1:45:12 PM

7/1/2006 1:48:11 PM
kinda off topic, but did fifa make a rule to tone down goalkeeper jerseys? it seems like that only the two tone jerseys are allowed in this cup. if so, i'll definately miss the days of jorge campos
7/1/2006 1:49:47 PM
well, i'm happy the fatherland (deustchland) is still inmy mom was in heidelberg about a month ago when my grandmother died, and she said people were going apeshit and even the cops were drinking and driving and people were hanging German flags out their windows driving down the Autobahn. She did bring me back a World Cup beerstein though

sucks for Englandthe Portugal goalkeeper had them on lockdown in the PKs though, def. the man of the matchWhen Manchester United starts play again, if I were Rooney, I'd beat the living crap out of Ronaldo in the 1st team practice[Edited on July 1, 2006 at 1:57 PM. Reason : ;]
7/1/2006 1:57:14 PM
Ronaldo won't be back at Man UI guaran-fucking-tee itHe'd be stupid to come back, the fans would crucify his asshe's gonna run to Real Madrid like a fucking bitch
7/1/2006 2:00:53 PM
^ I hope so, I can't stand him... and I'm not really a ManU hater or anything. I get the impression nobody really likes him, which is why Rooney pushing him isn't really surprising to me. I read something a while ago about Ruud and Ronaldo had alot of problems the past year and you can see how he bitches and shit all the time, it's no wonder people don't like him.And for the Rooney red card - Although deliberately kicking somebody in the nuts/groin area is a red card, it didn't look like that's what he got it for to me. The ref called the foul and just stood there, not reaching for his pocket or anything. It had to be some kind of dissent he got the red. At first I thought maybe a linesman told him about it, so he gave the red... but no linesman would have a better view of it than where he was. Anyways, I'd like to see what was said
7/1/2006 2:06:40 PM
picture of beckham crying, STAT
7/1/2006 2:12:47 PM
I supported Ronaldo just because he was brilliant at times, but seriously, fuck that kid nowThe look on Rooney's face said it all, like "you're supposed to be my friend man, what the fuck"and honestly, I think Rooney stepping on him was by accident. I didn't see any purposeful flick of his foot towards Carvalho's balls at all in any of the replays. the closest it even got was when his leg was wrapped up by Carvalho's[Edited on July 1, 2006 at 2:17 PM. Reason : I think that's why Rooney was so pissed and pushed Ronaldo]
7/1/2006 2:16:15 PM
Yeah, that's why I don't think the red was for the kick. It wasn't really obvious enough and I don't think the ref really caught it.hahaha Becks crying... he used to be one of my favorite players, but after reading his autobiography, and if anybody else has read it you know what I'm talking about... he is a PUSSY[Edited on July 1, 2006 at 2:20 PM. Reason : ^^ becks]
7/1/2006 2:19:30 PM
it had to have been his mouth. players push each other like that all the time and nothing happens.wasnt Carvalho marking rooney when he broke his foot. maybe alittle payback with a swift kick to the balls.
7/1/2006 2:22:27 PM
Anyone have a video link for the rooney red card ?
7/1/2006 2:22:32 PM
I just hope Steve McLaren doesn't suffer from the same faults as Sven-Boringjust because they're a big name doesn't mean you leave them in the game when they're shitting it up (read: Lampard and Becks)it wasn't Carvalho that broke Rooney's foot, it was Paulo Ferreira[Edited on July 1, 2006 at 2:23 PM. Is Rooney the Ron Artest of soccer? He seems to have a long history of being an ass.
7/1/2006 2:39:32 PM
As far as Ronaldo ratting out Rooney goes, fuck it. He's playing for a different country. The World Cup only comes around every four years, and I wouldn't let some perceived friendship stand in the way of any advantage I could get. And, shit, Rooney is out of control, and if I had played with him and knew of it personally, that would make it even easier for me to speak out.The whole red card was a little strange to me. The ball-stomp looked unintentional, but these guys are athletes who have more control over their bodies than the average fan so maybe it was intentional and we just can't fathom it. Did the ref see the ball-stomp? Was the red card for the stomp? The shove? The up close defense Rooney was giving to the ref? Everything combined? Was the ref swayed by Rooney's history of inappropriate play? Does it matter what it was for--did he deserve it in the end?And was the ball-stomp really that bad? The bitch continued to play, right? Shit, if somebody stepped on my imaginary testicles, I'd be out for at least a week--and my babies are imaginary!!!And, one last thing...I can see how taking a dive is part of the sport...but faking a grimace and rolling around on the ground like a little bitch??? Cut that shit out.[Edited on July 1, 2006 at 3:01 PM. Reason : sss]

If Beckham wasn't injured he would've taken a PK and missed it and Portugal would've won 2-0. In recent PK situations he's: a) kicked it over the bar, b) fallen over and completely missed, c) kicked it even higher over the bar.SHAUN. WRIGHT-PHILLIPS.Rooney's not an ass, he's just a 19 year old street kid who hasn't learned to control himself yet. The anger and arrogance that earns him so many bookings is the same combination that allows him to pound a volley from 45 yards that bends eight feet into the net without a second thought.I guess I'll be wearing my Cristiano Ronaldo jersey out tonight instead of my Rooney jersey.[Edited on July 1, 2006 at 3:51 PM. excellent kick!am I wrong for really wanting to see a Germany-France grudgematch in the finals?
7/1/2006 4:16:03 PM
yesItaly/Brazil[Edited on July 1, 2006 at 4:17 PM. Reason : adfjk;]
7/1/2006 4:16:51 PM
You're only wrong because it wouldn't be a grudgematch. Argentina/England would've been the grudgematch.
7/1/2006 4:17:06 PM
oh my god so close
7/1/2006 4:19:51 PM
yeah, you're right. there's no animosity between France and Germany. I can't imagine anything in their collective past that would cause any problems.... (i'm speaking historical grudgematch. nothing in particular between the actual teams. but you're fooling yourself if you don't think that france likes to kick the shit out of Germany in anything possible, and vice versa - even if they are now political and economic allies)
7/1/2006 4:21:10 PM
I'm speaking historical grudgematch, too.Argentina/England has taken place many times during active military conflicts between the two and the two alone. Germany has far more issues with Poland than France. It doesn't help that the English called the Argies "savages" when they first started playing matches against each other. See bizarre shit like Beckham's red card in '98, too.Yes, there's quite a bit of historical tension between Germany and France. There's just as much between Argentina and England, and a whole lot more that's come directly off the pitch, too.
7/1/2006 4:27:01 PM
yeah, thanks for the history lesson. I was only arguing because you said "You're only wrong because it wouldn't be a grudgematch", which is false, not "it wouldn't be as much of a grudgematch as england/argentina", which may or may not be true. anyway - back to the game. france is looking nice, and brazil is looking a bit desperate....
7/1/2006 4:35:23 PM
Brazil is just trying to turn up the tempo. You know, because they have to...
7/1/2006 4:39:15 PM
NO ONE wants to see Germany/France. That's all I'm sayin'.
7/1/2006 4:43:30 PM
the only reason i am happy that france is winning is because it eliminates brazil.. which italy dont match up well against
