Does recycled bride online do bridesmaid dresses? There used to be a place off Maynard in Cary that was nothing but prom and wedding dresses.

I have tried to consign bridesmaid dresses in that past. Most I went to 1) want more than 1 dress--they want at least 2, but prefer 3+ of the same style; some will take same color for that trend, but many are still old school thought wanting the same style, 2) don't accept David's Bridal, they want labels and 3) want them NEVER worn... bridesmaid dropped out or wedding was cancelled.Good luck. And let me know what you find bc I still have an unworn and two bridesmaids from my wedding that want to sell theirs with the unworn one. I even had my mom take them to a consignment shop in Atlanta. We've had no luck. :-/

She pretty.
11/6/2013 7:37:54 AM
It is pretty scandalous, but honestly I find it kind of glamorous as well. I can imagine she had to sit and stand carefully or apply a lot of fashion tape.

if you don't wanna wear that dress again, do you think someone else does? think hard about that or post a pic for us before you spend a lot of time trying to sell it, or listing fees.
11/6/2013 9:06:25 AM
i need a function to wear these to...
11/6/2013 11:00:33 AM
I wish I had those! I need to figure out shoes for the Marine Corps Ball this Friday. Because we've been busy with the wedding and move I totally dropped the ball on even thinking about it until this week, so now I have to make due with stuff I have. Good thing I have a spare ball gown lying around.

Speaking of bridesmaids dresses... my brother is getting married at the end of May, and his fiance wants my sister and I to be in the wedding party. Other than the color of the wedding being light blue ( not a good color on me in the slightest), I know basically nothing about what the attire will entail. But, for future reference, what is the etiquette on the dresses after the event? I mean, do I really have to purchase a dress I will use exactly once in my life but I'm not allowed to sell it? Or if it ends up pretty or flattering, am I allowed to wear it to other formal events? Or does it just sit in a closet forever?
11/6/2013 11:07:18 AM
Allowed by whom? Fashion police? As long as the dress is cute enough and it doesn't scream "yo I lost the rest of my wedding party" then wear it. I have 2 BM dresses I have worn after the fact. One is pretty casual, so I throw a cardigan over it and call it a day. That one's light blue, actually. The other is a more formal navy dress, but it's pretty, so I've worn it to work events once or twice.I encouraged my bridesmaids to do the "pick a knee-length dress that is gray and somewhat formal" thing, but they wanted to match, so they ended up going to David's Bridal. [Edited on November 6, 2013 at 11:13 AM. Reason : they looked lovely, I just really hate DB]
11/6/2013 11:11:14 AM
I've been in four weddings--two I wore again (black) and two I didn't or haven't yet. I tried to dye an orange/peach one black but it turned brown. The other is navy but that wedding was recent and I haven't had a need to dress up since. I may wear it to my cousin's wedding in December though.
11/6/2013 12:31:11 PM
I'm about to donate the BM dress my sister made me wear (full length, Grecian in design, chiffon)unless I'd use it for a Halloween costume in the future, I doubt I'd ever wear it againand it's a full size too big now[Edited on November 6, 2013 at 12:56 PM. Reason : .]
11/6/2013 12:56:02 PM
i'll take pics and post them when i get home so yall can give me your opinions
11/6/2013 12:59:15 PM
I'm a little bit obsessed with this for some reason...and these...and these...i'm about to buy some genuine knock offs
11/7/2013 8:48:53 AM
i'm also really into these....WHY CAN'T I GET AWAY FROM THE FRINGE!?!?!?
11/7/2013 12:59:02 PM
I needed some new boots for the winter. I waited patiently and got these from last year:I plan to wear them in unseasonably warm weather and walk around feeling like Santa.
11/7/2013 1:10:11 PM
see...patience is not a virtue i possess...i'm more inclined toward "buy ALL these fake fringy boots that you'll only wear a time or two RIGHT NOW because I want them RIGHT NOW"the thing is...i can buy all 4 pair for what one pair of Minnetonka's would cost and get just as much wear out of them [Edited on November 7, 2013 at 1:26 PM. Reason : asdf]
11/7/2013 1:25:04 PM
I think that's cool though--except I can't imagine having the space to do that.
11/7/2013 1:30:26 PM
i have a room for shoes in my house
11/7/2013 1:33:39 PM
at least the minnetonkas are 'sensible shoes'. I doubt you need 4 pairs of fringed stiletto boots. you can't even wear those into the woods for a moment to truly appropriate native culture
11/7/2013 1:34:34 PM
clearly we have never met...Hi! My name is Casey and I rarely, if ever, buy sensible shoes actually...my sensible shoes are pretty much the only ones I'll pay decent money for
11/7/2013 1:37:46 PM
we have met at bada once. but yes, i disapprove of your multi cheap shoe buying ways. just buy a nice pair already lol
11/7/2013 1:39:26 PM
i have nice shoes for wearing on a regular basis...but i like color and variety and just to have fun with shoes/purses/jewelry...so I can't justify spending bank on one pair of shoes to wear a handful of times...but i can totally justify spending bank on multiple pairs of shoes to wear a handful of times
11/7/2013 1:41:59 PM
No fringed boots. They make me sad because they are unsuitable for everything that requires boots.
11/7/2013 1:46:11 PM
look people....i have quality boots for things that require boots...i have real cowboy boots for working with my cows...i have real hiking boots for doing all the shit outside that needs to be done in boots...i have real motorcycle boots for when i need to do that...THESE ARE FOR FUN!!!
11/7/2013 1:48:23 PM
i'm glad you collect shoes because i need the boxes!
11/7/2013 1:48:46 PM
I support you and your shoe-hoarding ways.
11/7/2013 1:49:47 PM
^^i've been throwing them away lately but i'll stop ^bless you
11/7/2013 1:50:28 PM
faux suede can fuck off though. I have a leather fetish
11/7/2013 1:51:53 PM
i, too, like the real stuff
11/7/2013 1:52:30 PM
I am that way with underwear. I have quite a few nice pairs, but a whooole bunch of $2 pairs, because I like playing with different styles and colors and whatnot.
11/7/2013 1:53:14 PM
it would be cool if i had someone to share them with...but nobody wears my size [Edited on November 7, 2013 at 1:55 PM. Reason : shoes...not underwear]
11/7/2013 1:55:26 PM
^^ oh, i thought it was because they get stained and you have to throw them out [Edited on November 7, 2013 at 1:56 PM. Reason : ]
11/7/2013 1:55:52 PM
omg Casey those boots with the pants like bottoms are like 5 years agoserial...do not buy them
11/7/2013 2:10:51 PM
you people seem to be mistaken in thinking i'm asking for advice about these shoes...i'm posting shoes i like...and if i decide to buy them i will...
11/7/2013 2:16:41 PM
I kinda want this laptop bag: http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/e5ea/
11/7/2013 2:19:50 PM
well we can tell you we hope you wont decide to buy them cuz they're trashy I'm sure that's just gonna push you to pull the trigger tho [Edited on November 7, 2013 at 2:21 PM. Reason : ^i just had a really shitty customer service experience with them. ]
11/7/2013 2:19:59 PM
oh...i'm going to buy all of them now just because you said that
11/7/2013 2:26:20 PM
well good on you on being easily manipulated into making purchases. 'the man' loves that in a woman
11/7/2013 3:23:28 PM
I actually liked the pants-boots, and don't recall seeing them 5 years ago (as boots didn't really come BACK-back until 2 years ago, and more furiously last year). either way, I'd like to know more info, just in case.

On a drunken whim I ordered some clip-in human hair extensions. I have never in my life even considered them but I realized recently that it might be fun for nights out or special events, especially since my hair has been mind-numbingly-frustratingly the exact same length for about 6 years (about to my bra strap). It just WONT. GROW. anyway, anyone have experience with clip in extensions? I always assumed extensions were horribly painful & expensive and/or looked like a wig, but I found out recently that way more girls wear them then I would ever know unless I asked.
11/7/2013 6:11:58 PM
ditto! Don't want to commit to actually cutting for bangs, but want clip on bangs every now and then for fun.
11/7/2013 6:28:24 PM
My girlfriend has a "bang piece" that she wears sometimes and it looks awesome. I'll try to find a pic.
11/7/2013 6:36:51 PM
i have a couple of pairs of the pants-boots...they are posted somewhere in this threadi love them
11/7/2013 7:29:02 PM
Get your boots gurl
11/7/2013 8:48:04 PM
i have some purple fringy ones with a wedge heel...if i can find more like that i'll be all over them...
11/7/2013 9:29:09 PM
I finally found some button back sweaters that are still available!http://www.bodenusa.com/en-US/Womens-Knitwear/Sweaters/WK865/Womens-Everyday-Button-Back-Sweater.htmlIf it works, I'ma pull a LP and get one in every color.
11/8/2013 11:51:07 AM
I couldn't sleep so I went to the Belk charity sale. It was awesome! I got three things that I've been coveting for months, and I thought they'd never go on sale. I wish I was a dude so I could make a joke about my boner. It ends at 10 AM, and it's worth putting on pants for if there's stuff you've been eyeing!
11/9/2013 8:48:57 AM
i had a $5 off coupon for that but lost it...i was going to go at 6 a.m. but i would just end up buying more purses that i don't need [Edited on November 9, 2013 at 8:52 AM. Reason : asdf]
