I use em once a week, definitely helps with proper squat form.

I can do 85 going in and 110 going out. I just got off it yesterday and an olderish lady went to use it and was all "OHHHHHHHHHH LAWDY I CAN'T DO THAT WEIGHT" I snickered cause she probably thought it was a guy!

the sad thing is i'm down 12lbs and still look like a lardass!

BUT at least watching what i eat is working. hopefully if i keep upping the exercise i can lose more more MOAR!!!

i almost want to post my weight that i started at a couple of weeks ago and my weight today because i felt FANTASTIC when i weighed myself today. but i'm still too lardy. i will just post it all at the end. i guess i should be taking pictures so i can track the progress and at the end everyone can be like "WHOA!" but i haven't been doing a good job.

today for lunch i ate:

spinach salad w/ grilled chicken breast, hard boiled egg, cucumber, bacos (the soy bacon bits lol), craisins and a little oil and vinegar. and a pepsi 1. whoops.

breakfast: special k vanilla crisp bar

dinner: currently making linguine with olive oil and spinach. and some fresh strawberries on the side. not really a protein heavy meal at all but i ran out of time to thaw out a piece of chicken so it is what it is. will prob sprinkle a tiny amount of parm or mozz cheese on top. and water with lemon to drink.

i am finding i'm more motivated to exercise now that i'm seeing progress haha. i mean i know that is a fat lazy person thing to say, which is crazy because i've only been fat and lazy for a year...but still. now i gotta make a new running playlist...more motivation! lol

Yes, I use them atleast once a week. But, I do use the standing "multiple hip" machine" I notice a bigger difference in my SI joint integrity. If I do this machine, I can cut out a laundry list of stuff that I used to do daily to avoid pain or the potential of pain. My training partner says it has alleviated some hip issues that he has been having for him, too.

I'm starting to get irritated. I'm eating low carb, about 1600 calories a day and working out 6 days a week (lifting and couch to 5k). Have a job that requires standing and moving around all day. Two weeks now with no weight lost - even seem to have gained a little this week.

Nevermind, I'm apparently freaking out over nothing. Tried again this morning and I'm down 4.5 lbs this week.

5'9" 156 lbs. Trying to get to 145ish. Already weigh less than I did through all of high school and college. \o/

^ Great job! It's so weird how your weight can fluctuate from one day to the next. I think Joie said that sometimes her weight would fluctuate almost ten pounds from one day to the next!

Also, some of y'all would love this. I'm working a really awesome bodybuilding show today, the IFBB Europa Battle of the Champions. Some of the bodies here are just SICK! Worked the event last night and saw a ton of bodybuilding, figure and fitness pros. Here's one of my fav guys ... he was hilarious. Total ham, Andy Haman, representing Dymatize here.

Basically, I'm just networking for my client, repping his gym and negotiating with the supplement reps. There are so many awesome freebies, samples and discounts. I'll share my discount codes with anyone who wants them. Will report back later.

Ugh speaking of weight gain. I gained 4 pounds overnight I've been eating well, avoiding alcohol and late night eating. I can't wait to go see an allergist.

I know I shouldn't get frustrated because it happens but I'm just over the constant up and down and having to watch every little thing I eat and beating myself up if I can't make a workout, etc. It's scary how obsessive this has made me.

Thanks Joie

I'm finally starting to get back on track. My wife just started a new job with a long commute so she's taking the car every day now, which means I have more motivation to take my bike the full five days a week. And today, I ran to the gym, hit the weights for an hour or so, then ran another five miles. I just need to come up with a new goal to work towards.

I've been focusing mostly on weight lifting but started working in Couch to 5k as my cardio a couple of weeks ago. When I went to a running store to get fitted for some new shoes yesterday, the lady who was helping me encouraged me to sign up for a race so I have something to work towards. So I'm signed up for a 5k on July 4, really looking forward to it!

I'm pretty out of shape and have been running two 5Ks a week for about the last month. Still running 23:00-25:00 range and trying to push it hard(haha 8 min miles ftw). Want to be sub 20:00 by Mid June. When I run hard I get a strong taste of iron in my mouth, reading around it seems it may be burst capillaries from over exertion, has anybody else tasted/experienced this. There is no blood or anything just a taste.

I would love to run an 8-min mile. It seems like my body can't/won't get below 10-min miles though. Anytime I crank up the speed on the treadmill a little, I tire out too soon.

I could routinely run a 20:00-22:00 5K in college, but since joining corpo America my exercise regiment has suffered immensely.

Cheryl Brown won the IFBB Europa Figure contest this weekend ... can you believe that for her legs, her only exercise is running (at least, at the moment ... apparently she was tapering her lifting schedule for the contest)? She's got a killer figure. Very fun to chat with her about her diet, exercise, etc. Those pros are intense!

Pretty neat event overall ... wish I had chatted up more pros for their best practices!

So check it out...

I am down to 211 (my parents came to Hungary one week and took us out to eat just about every meal...). We haven't had a weigh in in three weeks, so undoing the damage from my parents visit and losing two lbs isn't too shabby I think.

So right now I've lost 5% body fat (woo!). I'm down from 33% to 28%. I still have a lot to go, but I'm excited that it's going away.

Needless to say, I've been doing the same cardio and strength training routine for about 10 weeks now with only one little bump up in intensity. The workouts still get me breathing hard and working the calories, but the inches are hardly moving even though I've lost 24 lbs.

Should I change up my routines? I'm wondering if the variation in program would jump start some results. Basically it would be going from Power 90 (which is a cardio / strength training rotation every other day) so Power 90: Master Series. Its more like P90X and there's a specific schedule to follow. It changes up the routine though so that I put my body through different movements.

Let me know what you think.

Yes AT THE MOMENT. But, that was for contest prep... It's not like she got those legs from running... because she didn't.

Morphine, it sounds to me like it's working. It may be a good time to retool your calorie calculations, and maybe switch up your program a little, but I don't have a clue what you are currently doing.
