i was doing semi alright today. I worked out and i wasn't eating complete crap but then......the sudden urge to make cookies overcame me they were totally delicious so I froze most of the dough so I wouldn't make 80 bajillion of them like i usually do[Edited on June 22, 2010 at 5:59 PM. Did a nice 25.7 mile ride this morning before work. I'm thinking about trying to do about the same thing again tomorrow. My legs were feeling it for the first 5 miles or so, but the last half I felt awesome.

yeah that shit really works. too good for losing weight though. im normally like 135-140 and i was eating a ton while doing it. went down to 125 so i stopped (though i did look more muscular).keep it up man. tough to keep with that hour a day but if you got the willpower it def works.im working 2-3x a week now just to not be fat. working alright so far. gym tomorrow.

I think I'll end up joining in tomorrow (better late than never). Just checking out this thread every now and then is some killer motivation. No picture tonight since I feel like a fatty after eating.I consistently do an hour of strength & conditioning followed by an hour of some sort of fighting training - boxing, muay thai, or jui jitsu. I finally gave in and changed my diet around to match the exercise that I'm getting, so I hope to see some decent results in the next month or two.

i just came in here to post that before my wedding a month ago i worked out twice a week and gained about 5 pounds in lean muscle. since the wedding i have not worked out (who do i gotta impress? lol) and ive lost 10 pounds (presumably all muscle)i didnt know it happened that quickly

They seriously taste wicked good... and if you're working out, you're burning calories anyways so it really isn't that bad. Definitely show them to Cody though... the "Mocha Blast" flavor even has 200 mg of caffeine (it's the only flavor that has caffeine) to give you a little boost post workout.

Make sure they're cold though (i.e. put it in the fridge for a while)... they taste like garbage warm. The fruit one isn't too bad, either.

these things taste hideous to me; they are way too thick and slimey if you don't dilute them with water in my opinion. ^Those are disgusting... most hydrolyzed whey protein drinks (as in non-shake/legitimate whey protein drinks) are. The RTD51 shakes are worth it though, 51g of quality Metamyosin protein. Sorry for the double post, too late to edit... but here's my intake for the day:I could give a shit less about sugar, since most of it's in the form of lactose. And the remaining sugar are typically from honey (honey mustard, double oat and honey bagels, etc.)

for those who make their own protein shakes... sometimes i'll make a shake for breakfast when im on the road & i'll put a cup of coffee in there! it adds a nice kick to the morning breakfast & lets you drink it quick bc you put ice in itive posted it before but here is what i mix together (in my magic bullet)- banana- dab of peanut butter- protein powder- cup of coffee- icei love it!

you can make your own protein bars using whey, oatmeal, peanut butter, and molasses. they taste a lot better and can have a better nutritional breakdown. I've got a thread somewhere in chit chat on how to make them.

I was talking to my trainer today - and he recommended Lara bars - said they didn't contain as many preservatives and were much better than Cliff or Luna bars (which is what i've been having)

I would be inclined to say you will get benefits from both. Casein takes a while to digest because it forms a gel in your stomach. If you were to later have a whey shake your body would begin digesting that too. There is a point more protein doesn't necessarily give more benefit though.
