Punting on 4th and 2 after the McVay’s dumb challenge was a bad call imo. Easy to say in hindsight, of course. They punted it 35 yards. The rams picked up 29 yards 2 plays later. The field position was nothing. I know it was a defensive game, but you have Deebo…find a way to get him the ball on 3rd and/or 4th down and pick it up.

Can't blame KS for:

1. Dropped INT that would've sealed the deal for the 9ers
2. Jimmy G completely wilting under the pressure during the final 2 mins and throwing an absolutely embarrassing pick
3. Multiple boneheaded penalties committed by a team who was obviously playing "not to lose". All that talk about it being a 9er "home game" was just talk.


It was a frustrating/disappointing exit, but the 9ers were the worst remaining team left in the playoffs and their lack of talent/execution exposed them when it mattered most.

I'm fine with Commanders but preferred Redwolves or Red Tails. It will be an adjustment. I do like the "Take Command" phrase. As with most things, if wins come it will be great, if not, it will be mocked.

The Flores thing. The texts with Belichick make it sound like BB misread another text and thought Flores got the job and texted Flores. Not that he thought he was texting Daboll. Not saying that isn't the case but to me, it reads that way. He said "I misread the text" not "I texted wrong person"

He could have heard from Buffalo that "Brian" was the guy and Belichick didn't know the timeline of the interviews. Or maybe he thought they were high on him before the interview?

It doesn't matter in the case really if it was one way or the other. Either way it makes it seem like they made their mind up before he even got to interview. I think it does makes Belichick look better if he really thought it was Flores and was congratulating him.
