I know I'll probably get flamed for this, but at this point, I'd put Thayer in the wildcat. Did he play qb in high school? How much worse can he be? I feel like he has the it factor because he has such a good understanding of defenses by the way he runs routes. He reads the field well and has good moves and agility. He threw our only good deep ball of the season and it was a perfect spiral.

The IPS podcast said that McKay didn't "screw up" any plays. Thought it would be interesting to rewatch the McKay series and bold the screwups:

Series 1: 3 & out. 3 straight runs. Didn't appear to me that McKay was "reading" anything, just handing the ball off.
Series 2: 3 & out. 1 run & 2 passes. McKay dropped the snap on the 1st play, 2nd play was an outside swing pass that seemed to float in the air, 3rd was a mistimed hook and go to Thomas, sailed too high.
Series 3: 1 first down. 1 run & 5 passes. Swing pass on target, inaccurate swing pass, good corner route throw under pressure for a first down, missed swing route to Emezie, almost interception to Thayer Thomas
