Only one scene into the last episode and all I can do is roll my eyes that they had a buddy cop comic relief moment with the two guys who just killed one of the heroes.
12/29/2019 6:16:29 AM
Lmao that scene was hilarious. And technically we don't know who actually killed him. Could have been the droid.
12/29/2019 7:03:33 AM
I thought it was refreshing hearing a couple of storm troopers just shoot the shit like normal folk.
12/29/2019 12:45:51 PM
I really enjoyed that scene, I like the feel of this show how it injects some comedy without being campy
12/29/2019 12:54:46 PM
I enjoyed the child abuse
12/29/2019 1:09:04 PM
Anybody get a red vs blue vibe from the storm troopers?
12/29/2019 3:44:01 PM
I don't even know what that means
12/29/2019 5:22:16 PM

My favorite part was when baby Yoda tried to choke that woman to death because she was beating his friend at arm wrestling. Lol, so cute!
12/30/2019 8:48:40 AM
It would be pure fan service sure, but I would love to see the planet that gave us Yoda.
12/30/2019 9:49:42 AM
I mean they teased that in the finale, but I seriously doubt it happens. Í figure they'd keep that for a Yoda movie.]
12/30/2019 11:36:21 AM
I'm more curious as to where the rest of Yoda's race are. Are they all force sensitive? Aside from this little guy and original Yoda, there is no mention of this race at all in Star Wars canon. Are they almost extinct or do they prefer to just stay on their home planet? Everyone that sees the little guy doesn't even recognize the race, so they can't be too common.

there's a chick yoda in the prequels[Edited on December 30, 2019 at 6:03 PM. Reason : yodette? woyoda?]

Yep Yaddle was on the Jedi council. It was a big deal when it came out

I finally started watching this. Just got through the episode with the krill farmers. This show is bad. I had some fun picking out who the cameo actors were, but I was immediately bored.spoliers probablyNOTHING about this show draws me in. The mandalorian walks like he's got a stick up his ass. He goes back and forth between being an elite fighter and being a complete dunce(really, you're just gonna walk in a dark cave and use a flashlight when you have all sorts of high tech imaging shit?)he was being chased in his ship, hits the air brakes, uses his ship to crunch the ship chasing him, then shoots it. Afterward, all systems are failing and he has a fuel leak. He gets up, flips a switch and everything works perfectly for him to go see amy sedaris?there was no feeling between some strong jawed widow and mando, but at the end of the episode we're supposed to think for a second that he'd sacrifice his religion and take off his helmet for her?this show is just like the recent movies. pretty to look at with no effort put into being original or engaging or entertaining. and i wish it werent the case

Wow what a waste of time. The show began and just went. It didn't progress and didn't properly end. Just went and now its over midplot. and all along he just hated droids because of the droid war? I thought there would be a story of a droid betraying him personally with hidden programming or something. Nope, he just doesn't understand computers and is in love with the one because it helped him?My favorite parts were baby yoda choking the lady and the storm troopers showing off their bad aim. Those scenes were excellent comedy and made me realize I would have loved this as a comedy series. I have spoken.[Edited on January 8, 2020 at 10:20 PM. Reason : wow]
1/8/2020 10:17:58 PM
Yeah why would he ever hate droids just because they murdered his parents and everyone he knew right in front of him when he was a small child
1/9/2020 10:40:13 AM
Its logic from our world which we can understand but is unacceptable for anyone with experience living in the star wars world. You have to understand that droids have been a basic part of everyday life throughout this galaxy and carry out of ton of functions other than killing. The droid army did what they were programmed to do but in the dialogue mando suggests that they don't always do what they are supposed to do. At the time, I thought it was a foreshadowing device for a droid to turn in one of his flashbacks later on in the show but it never happened. He doesn't want food from droids, and doesn't even want to trust a taxi droid. The best analogy I can think of would be like seeing your town overrun by tanks, and never trusting any motor vehicle ever again.

Maybe we don't know the whole reason yet? I can't believe this show didn't answer everything in the first season!!!

People of different race have been living together on this planet for eons, yet there are still plenty of racist white people that don't trust any black people. Him being part of a universe where droids are part of every day life wouldn't affect it any differently.[Edited on January 10, 2020 at 7:51 PM. Reason : ]

That might fly if they stuck with it but they didn't. I could understand if mandalorians just don't use droids or it goes against their code (this is the way) but the writers let it go suddenly. He didn't just realize the droid was useful, he was ready to face death instead of sacrificing the droid. That is extreme droid love right there. He fell in love with droids moment a droid helped him. As if he's realizing for the first time that droids could actually save lives instead of just taking them. He's not some newb. Its implausible that he could have completed so many missions as a bounty hunter all over the galaxy without realizing that droids could be helpful. This was written as if the main character was plucked off of present day earth at the start of the season and informed that droids destroyed his civilization and is just now learning how droids work. That would be understandable for a character with .a sheltered single-planet backstory like Rey or Luke but not a notorisous bounty hunter.

It's almost as if traumatizing events from childhood take time and effort to overcome. Weird.

horosho is a dullard on the level of BanjoMan. Please don't engage him.

A buddy cop movie with Baby Yoda? Now you are just trolling and it isn't even subtle.
1/13/2020 10:20:42 AM
I dont hate it, but i still haven't finished the season. I made it to episode 4 or 5 i think and just stopped watching. Just not all that intriguing
1/13/2020 7:54:41 PM
season 2 , ep 1 was good. Thought it was pretty high budget for an opening episode.
11/5/2020 5:37:07 AM
I mean, it’s the platforms flagship show. Apparently season 1 budget was 100 million, and a lot of that went into startup costs. I don’t know what the S2 budget is, but I doubt it’s any less, and they can now put more of it on screen
11/5/2020 9:23:00 AM
I'm running through season 1 again before starting 2.
11/5/2020 11:28:30 AM
^^ and ^Goad to see yall post. $ jones is solid as oak, real wolfweb treasure. Synapse less so, but glad to see both of them post again.Pardon my “omg life getting back to normal” catharsis. I miss those dudes

So when Hollywood needs someone to play a Marshall is everyone just like, “Well, call Tim”

S2E2 Spoilers belowAlthough I have enjoyed both of the S2 episodes, I'm really hoping it just doesn't fall into a "Mandalorian gets a new companion each week with their own unique skills that all come back to help him at the end" trope. The frog woman wasn't too helpful, but her husband might be if we meet him in the future. That being said, seeing the X-wing chase was awesome and was pleased to see the brief return of Richard Ayoade. Question: What was it that the X-wing scanners picked up that started the chase? Was it the robot bounty hunter guy from S1? Also, check out the inspiration for the ice spiders that came from Empire Strikes Back concept art:[Edited on November 9, 2020 at 11:25 AM. Reason : ]

^^I’m actually really liking the “freak of the week” style. It reminds me of stargate... we get to see some new world or culture and how they interact.
11/9/2020 3:34:28 PM
i laughed so much during ep 2This is EXACTLY what I wanted to see in Star Wars EU.
11/11/2020 2:30:42 PM
such a great show
11/15/2020 12:48:25 PM
Episode 5 was my favorite of the season of the entire series so far. It almost felt like a Tarantino flick.
11/28/2020 12:07:15 PM
I hoped you wouldn't be back.
11/29/2020 8:32:51 PM
horosho came back to ruin soap box. rem lazar came back to ruin chit chat. Someone had to come back to ruin entertainment. (Although shoot tries his best to ruin it across the board)
