That game was a whole lot of ugly, at least it was a good game though. I am going to miss Manu when he retires.

It was a great game in that it was competitive...but the last part of the 4th quarter and OT was extremely sloppy. Tons of turnovers, missed wide open shots, etc. I highly enjoyed it, but it wasn't exactly good basketball.

Harden had 10 points total in the 2nd half and overtime. He had a great first half...he was sub-par for the rest of the game. He REALLY sucked in OT.

How great would it be if the Spurs won the championship. Cementing themselves as the greatest franchise of all time that people tried their hardest to avoid talking about

Boy do I feel stupid for buying into all that undue Houston hype. I should have known that any team led by Russel Westbrook's clone wouldn't sniff the WCF. The Rockets just got sodomized by a Kawhi-less and Parker-less team. AT HOME.

The WCF are certainly a lot more interesting now, and as a Warriors fan, I'm definitely feeling a little uneasy.

That came out a few days ago, Tree.

I found the ESPN poll funny though. Draymond "won" dirtiest player in a landslide

He's the type of player that you're glad is on your team, but if he got traded, you'd hate him the second he left.

Westbrook out the playoffs
Harden out the playoffs
Leonard's team beat the hell out of another team without him

So Lebron is the true MVP?

Lol, I just saw the guy trying to call me out on page 2 for stating the Spurs have a decent chance against the Rockets if they don't play Tony Parker too much.

Looks like that was a pretty solid call considering they lost the Parker game by 30 and dominated the series afterwards.

Worst postseason ever THUS FAR.

I think both of these series will be very competitive though. Maybe not necessarily close as in 7 game series, but closer on an individual game level. Only two of the TWENTY gAmes in round 2 have been decided by single digits. That's absurd

The Spurs and Wizards are underrated and the Cavs are overrated.

The Celtics seem properly rated as they were done for against the bulls if rondo hadn't gotten injured and against the Wizards if Morris hadn't gotten hurt. That said, they can absolutely give the Cavs a series.

The warriors are underrated. They'll stomp the Cavs if they get through the Spurs.

I got Warriors over the Spurs in 5 given the injury to kawhi. But let's not forget the Spurs put a 30 point beat down on the Warriors to open the season AND they beat them late in the year last season.

Clearly, the Warriors are a huge favorite but I think the Spurs at 7:1 odds are a nice bet. The warriors are a sprained ankle away from being vulnerable

There is currently no evidence that Harden was hurt, an elbow to the face in the previous game doesn't automatically mean concussion no matter how hard twitter wants it to be. The guy choked when he didn't even have the best defensive player on the other team in the game.

What calls for a suspension? Is it intent to harm? result of harm? time and situation in the game? This checks all three boxes. They suspended draymond twice for less.

I know people will explain Game 6 against the Rockets as the reason that Kawhi Leonard is not the MVP.

And then you take a game like this and you can argue why Kawhi Leonard is the MVP.

I don't. I can take Kawhi's 82 game sample size and justify the MVP for him.

But I can also go ahead and quote every hot take that'll be coming from ESPN's coffers tomorrow.

Wow people seriously even think that was remotely a dirty play? Just ban all contact in basketball I guess? That was purely incidental it happens all the time.

They also beat the Rockets by 40 without him (as well as win the OT game before that).

Man the Warriors got lucky last night. Spurs win going away without that injury.

No. It's pretty obvious how important Kawhi was to them yesterday and throughout the season, and if you look at the 18-0 run that happened when he went out, it's clear the entire momentum shifted in favor of the Ws.

But saying they got "lucky" by overcoming a 25 point deficit and executing down the stretch is stupid. Counting the Warriors out when they've come back time and time again when down big is pretty foolish, so anyone who was shocked that they pull it off hasn't been paying very close attention this season.

I get that you hate the Warriors, but give them some credit. That game was a tale of two halves, not just one "lucky" break.

Exactly.

- One half where the best two-way player in the game is healthy and they were up by 20

- One half where the best two-way player in the game is hurt and they lose by 22

That is a lucky break. Of course the Warriors are one of the best teams in the league and they took advantage of him being out (something the Rockets couldn't do). But Kawhi doesn't get hurt and the Spurs probably win easily (Golden State still probably makes a run...but SA wins that game by double digits).

It was a very lucky break for the Kawhi to go down. This could have actually been a 6 game series the way Aldridge had stepped up. Now we get 2 more boring AF sweeps.

^^ I mean was there any question? Their offense was basically Manu for the entire rest of the third quarter after Kawhi left. Aldridge was fucking dreadful during that stretch.

Was going to set us up for a potentially epic series and now it's just going to be shit.

I don't think anyone is discrediting GSW when they say they were lucky that Kawhi got injured. GSW are insane when they get on a run. That being said, the game swung with that injury and I doubt anyone outside of GSW fans would say they would have made a similar comeback with a healthy Kawhi.

Hope he's healthy. With a healthy Kawhi and Pop coaching against Mike Brown, SA might have had a chance to push GSW to the brink. Why you'd sit both Curry and KD at the same time in the playoffs is bizarre. Feels like the defense can just play everyone straight up when they don't have to account for either of those guys.

I'm excited to see what SA does differently going forward. His changes after game one against the Rockets (switching DG and LMA's defensive assignments) and basically giving up the midrange were brilliant. I'm excited to see what happens going forward.
