My son and I play Zelda together, its a fun adventure
7/8/2017 10:22:32 AM
Why are these things still over 400 on Amazon?
7/15/2017 2:36:21 PM
Walmart Cary had four in stock early today
7/15/2017 9:37:58 PM
the wife got me one for my birthday! so far i've got mario kart which is awesome and zelda is downloading as we speak. any playing arms? splatoon looks pretty fun too always open to suggestions
7/17/2017 2:33:02 PM

7/25/2017 7:38:02 PM

7/26/2017 6:06:07 AM
Love me some Shovel Knight on Switch. I highly recommend
7/26/2017 7:56:04 AM
arms is pretty good if you are into that type of game. it doesn't have tons of single player content, but i knew that going in.
7/26/2017 1:08:07 PM
Mario + Rabbids is a lot of fun. Simple to play but lots of nuances. And co-op mode is a lot of fun too. Played it all weekend. 85 on Metacritic and probably my second favorite Switch game after Zelda: BotW
9/4/2017 1:59:59 PM
^are you happy spending 60 on it? With only single player I’m a bit tentative on that much for what seems like a game with limited replayability and a somewhat short it seems single player (from reviews I read anyway)If you bought it again would you buy it digital or game card?
9/4/2017 5:29:11 PM
I bought it for ~$43 because of Amazon Prime's preorder discount and then they dropped the price $5. I wouldn't have a problem paying $60, but I wouldn't expect more than 20-25 hours of playtime.

Tons of quality indie games releasing lately. I've been playing Stardew Valley and Golf Story but I understand Steamworld Dig 2 and Axiom Verge are also fantastic, and all 4 have come out within the past month. All the good indies trying to grab some real estate before Mario hits at the end of the month.
10/12/2017 12:47:23 AM
I was wondering about the quality of releases for the Switch - doesn't seem like there has been much fanfare for any games lately. It was like there was Zelda and Mario Kart and that was it.
10/12/2017 7:23:59 AM
eh? People were excited for Arms and it sold fairly well. It then got eclipsed by Splatoon 2 when that came out. They aren't your standard "omgz Call of DOOOOTY" or whatever, but they were generally popular. It has been a few months since, mostly with popular indy games like the aforementioned Stardew Valley and Golf Story and we'll soon have Mario. I'd say the Switch library is at least on par with any other decent system in its launch year.
10/12/2017 10:27:18 AM
Mario + Rabbids sold really well. Pokken Tournament DX came out last week, but I don't think made much of splash. There's Fire Emblem Warriors coming up, but what people are really hyped for is Super Mario Odyssey.
10/12/2017 3:55:00 PM
There have been quality releases every month.June - ArmsJuly - Splatoon 2August - Mario + RabbidsSeptember - Pokken TournamentOctober - Mario Odyessy, Fire EmblemNov - LA Noire, SyrimDec - Xenoblade Chronicles 2Plus the numerous other indie releases like startdew, golf story, steamworld dig 2, etc. AND some third party support like Fifa and nba 2k.saying that zelda and mario kart are it just shows that you are not really paying attention.

Third party portable dock has finally come out https://nyko.com/products/portable-docking-kit-for-nintendo-switchGonna have to go by a gamestop and grab one because I'm going on vacation next week.
10/18/2017 6:56:33 PM
been hearing reports that that thing breaks people's Type C connector be careful. In other news, DARKEST mother fuckinnn DUNGEON IS COMING TO SWITCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WOOTTTTTTTTTT
10/21/2017 8:21:13 AM
Only see a couple of people saying that on Reddit, and Nyko was on there saying they would replace your console if their accessory broke it.Would suck to lose my Zelda save but doesn't seem like to bad of a gamble.
10/21/2017 1:08:20 PM
Should I buy one of these just for Mario games?
12/14/2017 4:39:18 PM
still hearing a lot of bad stuff about it
12/14/2017 6:44:57 PM
Like what? I'm at a crossroads here. Do I get a PS4 or a Switch?
12/14/2017 10:24:02 PM
^same. What are you hearing?
12/15/2017 8:40:57 AM
ohh i thought we were talking about the Niko dock. The switch itself is awesome. I have had no problems with mind and enjoy it
12/15/2017 9:35:02 AM
But if you didn't have a newer generation console, what would you choose? PS4 or Switch? Our PS3 sounds like it is about to die. That is also our only source of a BR player.
12/15/2017 10:03:41 AM
Depends you want. I play my large scale multiplayer and fps games on pc along with cross platform games like the souls games. It was an easy choice for me to pick up a switch for portable single player + local multiplayer gaming.
12/15/2017 11:13:40 AM
What are some must haves? Accessories, games, etc
12/18/2017 8:46:51 AM
Went with a PS4 - I don't have a large entertainment stand and basically, I don't want to have a separate, standalone BR player.Plus I like Uncharted and want to play Red Dead 2.

Zelda, Mario, Mario kart, Sonic mania if you like Sonic games, snipper clips is a fun 2 or 4 player puzzle game, Golf Story is a fun and funny sports RPG.
12/19/2017 8:59:16 AM
Got one for my little for Christmas day. Pumped.

What can i do with a MicroSD card?
12/26/2017 11:25:57 AM
a microSD is basically a necessity at this point. you can download larger games from the eshop. also, however controversial it may be, even some carts are requiring downloads and at least ____ GB of storage available. some examples are NBA 2k18 which i think requires a download to even start and doom where the cart only includes the single player campaign...the multiplayer is via download only.
12/26/2017 12:26:50 PM
cool. thank you
12/26/2017 1:26:23 PM
Yeah you'll probably want at least a 128 GB card.

My six year old beat Kirby in less than 6 hours. Nintendo you can do better.
3/19/2018 3:17:52 PM
^whats the best controller config for a little kid?
3/19/2018 10:38:47 PM
^^Kirby games are always really easy. Letting you bring in CPU helpers make this one damn near brain-dead though.
3/21/2018 9:07:45 AM
The best part of the Kirby games has always been finding all the secrets and levels (IIRC). Does this game have a lot of that?
3/21/2018 10:10:08 AM
There are hidden switches in some levels that unlock secret levels. The secret levels have been kind of boring though tbh.

Finally picked up the Switch. I love it. But...I feel like it is a "needy" console. By that I mean that once you pay 300 for the console and one controller, there's a bunch of extra crap that you need to get to get the full experience. My 5 year old loves Mario Kart, so I'd like to play it with her, so I'll pick up another controller. Huh? It's $80? Ok, I guess a lot of engineering went into it. Let me just open the box and connect them to the gri...what? No grip with my $80? Let me see...ah yes, another $30 for a grip that charges my controller. Great. $110 for a controller.Man the screen on this thing looks fantastic, and these games look great, but this screen, it's plastic right? I bet it scratches easy, especially just by placing it in its dock - a function that is required to play it as intended. You mean to tell me the Nintendo powers that be couldn't line the dock with a rubber or felt finish? Ugh ok, I'll get a screen protector. Another $10 and a bunch of stress trying to get that thing right. This thing is portable, so I better pick up a case to keep me from dropping it when I'm going from one place to another. Another $10-20.The batter life on this thing kinda stinks. I'm ok with it because the good games really sap the power, I can understand that. Let's see, where's the power supply...oh right, I used the one and only power supply for the dock. I can either unplug the power supply from the dock every time, or shell out another $30 for a power supply to take with me.I realize there are now plenty of third party suppliers of most of the things I mentioned that can be purchased for cheaper than the official Nintendo products, but still. The thing needs a lot of extra junk.
