To each their own. I'm not so high on him considering his recent output, I'd rather roll with guys with higher potential in favorable matchups. Woodhead was a top 20 ppr RB in 2013 before he got hurt last year. I suppose you could argue Marshall might see a good amount of Haden to slow him down, but the QB situation shouldn't scare you. And I think the Skins will probably throw a good amount while down vs. Miami and someone has to catch a few of those passes. As for the other guys listed, I wouldn't argue against starting Williams.
9/10/2015 7:15:57 PM
Yeah, I think im gonna roll with Williams for this week and see how the others do in their offenses...how much tehy are used. Luckily im first in waivers so if there is a big time RB pickup early I can drop Williams and get a stud.really all depends on how many catches he gets honestly
9/10/2015 7:23:30 PM
Drafted these guys last Thursday, and the more I have time to consider, the less I like it. #11 pick in a 12 team snake, non PPR, no flex position.1. (11) Rob Gronkowski TE2. (14) Andrew Luck QB3. (35) Frank Gore RB4. (38) LeSean McCoy RB5. (59) Todd Gurley RB6. (62) Nelson Agholor WR7. (83) Jarvis Landry WR8. (86) John Brown RB9. (107) Mason Crosby K10. (110) Devonta Freeman RB11. (131) Heath Miller TE12. (134) Eddie Royal WR13. (155) Chiefs DST14. (157) Markus Wheaton WRI normally wouldn't go with a QB at 2.2, even Luck, but the RB cupboard was pretty bare. Gurley at 5.11 was a mistake, no question, though the extent of his injury wasn't known at the time; it was thought he might miss a week. Crosby at 9.11, also a mistake, there was a mini-run on kickers and I got antsy. Should have ignored it.Freeman at 10.2 wasn't my choice - I temporarily lost connection at just the wrong time and he got autopicked. Not sure just how screwed I am, but I'm thinking I'm not going to repeat as league champ, that's for damn sure.
9/10/2015 7:56:30 PM
^if that is a 6pt passing TD league, you might be OK. your receivers would be a lot better in a PPR league, but they're serviceable.[Edited on September 10, 2015 at 9:12 PM. Reason : I tried mock drafting Gronk several times, and I was always dissapointed with the outcome.]
9/10/2015 9:11:34 PM
I took Gronk at 6, after the top 5 RBs were off the board. It's nice to have a position where you never have to worry about anything other than a bye week pickup (assuming no injury, of course). Could've had any WR I wanted but Gronk is that good.
9/10/2015 9:16:10 PM
I picked a great night to start Scobee and Wheaton

I had it in my head that I would wait and see how Pitt looked without Bell, Bryant, and Pouncey before I played Ben.. Then I listened to the radio today and they talked me into it [Edited on September 10, 2015 at 11:39 PM. Reason : That'll make it less bad..]

Thank you based Brady

9/10/2015 11:45:32 PM
pretty good night to have both Gronk and Brady
9/10/2015 11:51:08 PM
indeed 70+ for my scoring
9/11/2015 12:29:14 AM
Welp, so much for my DeAngelo reasoning. Hope you guys get bonuses for 100+ yds rushing, otherwise his ceiling in favorable matchups is Chris Ivory.
9/11/2015 8:26:37 AM
i started Dwill in one of my leagues... any chance Bell just decides to sit out the rest of the season since he's already gonna miss two games? Maybe he'll want to start fresh next year with a full set of games?
9/11/2015 8:32:13 AM
Edelman did well for me in PPR.
9/11/2015 8:33:41 AM
Davante Adams or Cooper (0.5 ppr)? Leaning Adams just based on the match up. Plus I am already using L. Murray, I don't think I want to start the season with 2 Raiders in my lineup [Edited on September 11, 2015 at 8:40 AM. Reason : .]

Bonuses are dumb, if your league scoring is properly calibrated you don't need them to separate the elite players from the average ones.I've never understood the whole "TDs are overvalued" mentality. Sometimes TDs are fluky, sure, but the whole point of the game is to score points. I get what you're saying about the guy who had 6 catches for 100 yards having a "bigger impact" on the game than the guy with 40yds and a TD, but I don't think that's necessarily true. Sometimes you can have a statistically impressive game but be minimally impactful, there are plenty of basketball games where a guy has a quiet 20 points. And yes, there's also the arbitrary nature of assigning bonuses. Is there something inherently better about having 100 yards vs. 98 yards that necessitates an extra 3 points on top of the yardage difference? It's just a pretty round number that we all like to point at and go, "look, he had a good game."

If anyone wants my optimized draft kings lineups here they are. I used projection data from fantasypros.com which consolidates a bunch of experts projections and run an optimization algorithm to pick the "best" lineup. I didn't love the first one since there are a lot of Packers so I ran one more.First:Matt Ryan, Eddie Lacy, DeMarco Murray, Devante Adams, Randall Cobb, Eddie Royal, Jimmy Graham, Benny Cunningham, SeahawksSecond:Matt Ryan, Lamar Miller, DeMarco Murray, Davante Adams, AJ Green, Jarvis Landry, Delanie Walker, Jimmy Graham, SeahawksI have a grand total of five dollar bucks riding on these two, last year this method worked pretty well as long as I didn't get cute and remove too many players I didn't like
9/11/2015 11:09:58 AM
^Youre really banking on Tre Mason not playing arent ya, with picking Cunnigham? I've heard conflicting reports. I think Mason plays, but even so, its a tough matchup and rams have shit Oline
9/11/2015 12:35:07 PM
It's just what the algorithm spit out. Benny was dirt cheap so that I could get other higher priced options, he isn't expected to kill it but the others I could draft should make up for him.
9/11/2015 12:52:10 PM
I wouldn't play Cobb in a daily league. Too many questions for me about his shoulder.
9/11/2015 1:05:50 PM
I think he's probably safe. The Packers are going to put up 40 points on the Bears like they always do and he's the clear #1 target for Rodgers. I don't see how he doesn't have a big game.
9/12/2015 12:50:11 AM
I'd play him in regular fantasy. Just not a daily league. Would rather spend that money on somebody who didn't get hurt and miss preseason action. I also happen to think that green bay and seattle aren't as prohibitive favorites as many would claim. Seattle losing their DC and green Bay losing their #1 and having a dinged up #2 that defenses can now afford to double E or at least shadeshade. Maybe that's for the NFL thread though.[Edited on September 12, 2015 at 1:20 AM. Reason : Posting from phone]

So I'm down 27 thanks to Gronk in a 13 man standard league... I've got a decent lineup with:Eli ManningJMailJeremy Hill Brandon CooksGolden TateDelanie WalkerFlex - Ameer AbdullahVikings D/STCody ParkeyI have two questions... I have Foster on my bench, so I'd like to squeeze in a win or two before he comes back. Should I substitute the Bengals D/ST for the Vikes and out of Abdullah, Sammy Watkins, and John Brown, who should I put in my flex.
9/12/2015 1:46:13 AM
I have no idea who jmail referring to
9/12/2015 4:28:56 AM
Jamaal Charles?
9/12/2015 6:55:46 AM
Need some help with some starters for week 1. Standard scoring non-Ppr. Need to pick 2Mellvin Gordon v DetroitCarlos Hyde v minnyTelvin Coleman v phillyBrandon Marshall v ClevelandNot really sure what to make of the rookies, but Coleman will be starting for atl in what should be a track meet. I like Gordon's opportunity as the Chargers lead back but detroits defense is damn stout
9/12/2015 7:53:37 AM
^^^^ I'd leave it how you have it.^ I'd probably want to see how exactly Gordon is going to be used, I think Hyde and Coleman are the safer picks for week 1I've got a few trade proposals for Matt Jones. I don't really like anything people want to give me, I think his potential upside is pretty high to take the job in WAS, so I should probably just hold on to him right? I doubt anybody will give me a #2-3 WR for him right now or anything. Or am I too high on his upside and should take what I can get..[Edited on September 12, 2015 at 8:09 AM. Reason : ~]
9/12/2015 8:09:42 AM
He's not going to take the starting job from Morris.
9/12/2015 9:26:36 AM
Rodgers or ryan at qb?Desean jackson or marques colston at wr?
9/12/2015 1:03:56 PM
Rule #1As far as Matt Jones goes, he very well may overtake Morris this season. The coaches handpicked Jones and apparently really like him (for good reason after averaging almost 7ypc this preseason). I wouldn't trade him yet, I would hold onto him for a few weeks, if he lives up to the hype you could get a much better player for him than you would right now.
9/12/2015 2:11:29 PM
RB question, 12-man non PPR league. standard scoring (6pt TD).Frank Gore or Benny Cunningham? Gore is my #2 RB, but he's got a tough matchup against Buffalo. Picked up Cunningham when I noticed that Mason was questionable, and even in Mason plays, I think Cunningham gets most of the work. Not sure which one is the better start. The league web site (cbs sports) has a higher projected value for Cunningham but I don't know how much I trust that.
9/12/2015 4:26:49 PM
well the Rams dont have a favorable matchup with the Seahawks either. I would roll with Gore
9/12/2015 5:24:02 PM
can't decide my flex (PPR) between Keenan Allen or McFadden (or Sproles on Monday night)
9/13/2015 9:12:34 AM
I'd go with Allen. The other 2 are in crowded backfields & it's tough to guess how many touches they'll get
9/13/2015 9:37:20 AM
That's who I currently have in. Sproles would just be to have a rooting interest on Monday other than "I hope the Falcons lose". McFadden is so tempting though. He often balls out early in the season before he inevitably gets hurt. And that Dallas offensive line. Luckily I got a nice 70 point cushion from Brady and Gronk so hopefully it won't matter.
9/13/2015 9:39:44 AM
i need to fill my WR2 and Flex spots. non PPRmy choices are:WR Allen RobinsonWR Nelson AgholorRB Tevin Coleman
9/13/2015 9:45:04 AM
Robinson for sure.First thought would be Coleman, but the eagles run defense is stout. I'd say it's a tossup.Should I gamble on Alshon Jeffrey this week? My backups include Allen Robinson and Keenan Allen. I'm starting Davante Adams in my flex.]
9/13/2015 10:22:17 AM
As the resident expert on all things Chicago Bears, I say start Alshon. Even at 70% healthy he's still the go-to guy and will get you 6/120/2My question. Tight end. Kelce at Houston or Donnell at Dallas. The smart people are saying Larry could have a big game with Cruz out
9/13/2015 10:55:02 AM
Kelce for sure, had him last year and was very happy each week to start him knowing he's an endzone targetWhich 2 of these 3 should I start?Sammy WatkinsDevonta FreemanMarques Colston[Edited on September 13, 2015 at 11:13 AM. Reason : f]
9/13/2015 11:07:41 AM
yuck, I would expect the same mediocre point total out of all three in the 5-8 point range. I guess Sammy has the highest ceiling since he has big play abilitypick my WR3, non-ppr:Eric Decker vs. ClevelandRueben Randle @ DallasDevin Funchess @ Jax
