Might see Protomartyr tomorrow. The couple songs they recently released were good.

new deerhunter is out there, although it's a 128kbps rip. i'd say it's better than monomania after a few listens. I can't wait til I hear a 320 version though because there's probably a lot getting squashed
9/15/2015 6:48:39 PM
really into this Warehouse album
9/15/2015 10:30:51 PM
re-getting my face blown off by the new deafheaven track "come back" after my first listen last night. Second half is absolutely gorgeous. This album is so melancholy sounding so far, in stark contrast to Sunbather. Cannot wait for this album to drop in a few weeks. I've tried to keep my expectations tempered, but the two tracks they've released have made it quite tough...[Edited on September 16, 2015 at 12:13 PM. Reason : ]

new Turnpike Troubadours album out today
9/18/2015 8:26:27 AM
i like it. but it doesn't blow me away. in fact, it might be my least favorite of all their albums.i like the original versions of easton & main and bossier city better than these new ones. my favorite songs are probably the 3 they released early. also, i love long drive home. time of day has been a favorite live one of mine since the first time i heard it, but it's not quite as good on the album as i was hoping it would be.still, a very good album. plus it's got an old 97s cover.
9/18/2015 11:41:06 AM
cant wait for the Big Grams EP next week, liking the first two songs they've released.
9/18/2015 11:41:57 AM
loving the new deerhunter. all the same and take care are my favorite tracks so far.
9/20/2015 5:12:49 PM

second joanna newsom track from Divers:https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=226&v=keke7BGzJPIShe's playing something called a marxophone on it (as well as harp and piano)
9/21/2015 8:57:15 PM
really dug the chvrches album. I was lukewarm on the 3 singles on their own, but the album as a whole is a really enjoyable listen.
9/22/2015 10:38:48 AM
good. lord. i love deafheaven's New Bermuda immediately. hype curse avoided.
9/23/2015 11:50:38 PM
triple post inc.Just streamed the No Devotion record (featuring geoff rickley of Thursday) and I actually really dug it. I streamed it out of pure nostalgia for Rickley, but it's a surprisingly enjoyable record. I caught glimpses of influences from joy division, smiths, cure, echo and the bunnymen, and some of the quieter deftones moments while still being driven by rickley's signature style. No if only i can find more time to listen to this between chvrches, the world is a beautiful place, and deafheaven this weekend.
9/24/2015 12:58:25 PM
Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats are pretty good
9/24/2015 1:22:38 PM
^ Someone told me to listen to S.O.B. a couple weeks ago...after listening to 2 more songs I bought the album, which I almost never do that quickly. Usually music takes a bit to grow on me, even bands I already like, but the first half of that album is just awesomeHe's coming to NYC early November and just announced a second date (first date I'm already seeing Turnpike Troubadours), so that's gonna be a good week
9/24/2015 3:46:51 PM
New Graveyard out today...been through it a couple times now, I like it but haven't found "that song" yet
9/25/2015 10:43:04 AM

the new deafheaven took a bit to grow on me but i've been rocking the fuck out to it the past few days.
9/29/2015 11:29:04 PM
^yes. it has continued to get better after countless listens.Luna is a massive track. Also, the new The World is a Beautiful Place... album is really good as well. Objectively a better record than 2013's stellar Whenever, If Ever but they're pretty even to me because W,IE has some endearing qualities in the more raw feel it has.[Edited on September 30, 2015 at 11:50 AM. I've been totally immersing myself in music as a distraction from #life this year (that's pretty much my MO anyway though) And on top of that it's actually been a really, really good year for new music. With that said, I just bought my 90th album for the year (Meg Myers)
9/30/2015 1:35:37 PM
Enjoying: Milo - So the Flies Don't ComeAlso, digging Christian Scott's album Stretch Music. Jazz rec found via Pitchfork today.

10/7/2015 8:34:42 PM
^week officially made.
10/7/2015 10:51:11 PM
for real. This has been an insanely solid year. A 2nd Beach House record will not hurt things.
10/8/2015 1:12:44 PM
they played a couple of new songs last night that presumably are from the new album. victoria played guitar on both.
10/9/2015 12:58:53 PM
these 3 songs would have been 3 of the best 5 on Depression CherrySTOKED
10/13/2015 3:13:10 PM
the new album is out there now.
10/13/2015 7:18:58 PM
last three tracks on the new beach house are amazing.
10/14/2015 10:15:52 PM
can't wait to hear it tomorrow.
10/15/2015 8:37:10 AM
more self promo cuz fuck me https://soundcloud.com/bodykit-1/sets/htg6c4p5dszv

I think I like the newer beach house more than the new beach house. Majorette, one thing (god I love this song), and those last 3 are so good. I think if they'd have combined the best from both albums into one it wouldve been album of the year for me, no contest. Guess I'll make a playlist with songs from both this weekend
10/16/2015 6:45:41 PM
https://soundcloud.com/kanyewestdropped a remix of Say You Will which is pretty great and some Weeknd song
10/19/2015 4:40:23 PM
that Say You Will remix is really good
10/19/2015 5:33:05 PM
apparently the chick singing on it is from Greenville
10/19/2015 6:18:51 PM
New Beach House is fantastic, new Deerhunter is very enjoyable.Neon Indian and Majical Cloudz are both alright.Super digging this George Clanton - 100% Electroncia stuff for whatever reason.Cult Leader's Lightless Walk is a pretty brutal metallic hardcore record.
10/21/2015 11:06:52 AM
really surprised that I've dug this George Clanton as much as I have. I am not really that into the vaporwave stuff. But throw Tears for Fears, Human League, Washed Out, and MBV into a blender? I don't know, but it's wormed it's way into my head pretty solidly the past few days.
10/22/2015 8:42:27 AM
BIEBS!
10/23/2015 11:01:35 AM
checked out two songs from Beach Slang's new record. Digging it. Pre-ordered.RIYL: Braid, Jawbreaker, Sunny Day Real Estate
10/23/2015 2:55:18 PM
Julien Baker album is pretty decent on first listen. downer for sure.NPR's stream of Foxing was good too. I'll definitely be picking it up.Still slightly obsessed with George Clanton too.
10/27/2015 5:09:26 PM
that new blood orange track is pretty great.
10/27/2015 9:05:51 PM
Car Seat Headrest album is decent.
11/2/2015 9:55:07 AM
the new grimes album is a lot of fun.
11/4/2015 10:45:38 PM
So I know this isn't going to fit in with this thread at all, but was introduced to Chris Stapleton watching the CMAs with the wife last night. Holy soul pipes. Finally some decent new country music.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zAThXFOy2c&list=RDEMradT0dHPo4itc33ZP6-P-g&index=1
11/5/2015 7:17:06 AM
i'm glad you learned about him and i hope a million more people did as well.
11/5/2015 8:51:29 AM
Yeah I'm not ashamed to admit that I just listen to the radio so I had only heard one of his songs.
11/5/2015 8:55:04 AM
well according to my Facebook every single person as heard of him now.
11/5/2015 9:36:07 AM
I guess I can't like him now that everybody else is going to.
11/5/2015 9:53:16 AM
It's just that music seems to exist for some people on one night of the year, the CMAs.
