4/29/2015 11:21:53 AM
4/29/2015 11:25:22 AM
bought 50 shares of LL after the drop on that 60 minutes piece...looks like i'm in for the long haul
4/29/2015 11:52:14 AM
I bought a bit of twitter earlier looks like I should have waited a bit more. Will give it into next week to start coming back up otherwise Ill just say meh.
4/29/2015 1:29:37 PM
Hey guys, if bojangles goes public, how do I buy some stocks? I have about 1,000 dollars I can put into buying but no idea who to call, how to do it, etc.
4/30/2015 1:52:47 AM
Heads up man. Don't ask beginner questions in here. David numbers will come chastise you for not knowing all facets of investing up front.
4/30/2015 9:17:35 AM
^^ with that amount the Robinhood app would be a good option (if you can get in).
4/30/2015 9:51:44 AM
I mean if he's buying one stock and not planning on making a bunch of trades, Fidelity would be fine.
4/30/2015 10:51:46 AM
INO! INO!
4/30/2015 10:56:04 AM
LULz...looks like they are either going to use the extra cash as leverage for a partnership for the Phase III trial, or they are just going to go it alone. The buyer is getting a very nice discount. The timing doesn't help either, as the bio sector overall has taken a huge hit the past 2 weeks from its peak.Such is the life of a fledgling biopharm.
4/30/2015 11:37:12 AM
It could've been worse, considering the dump that took place after the offering announcement last summer. I was going to add more today if it fell below $8...too many catalysts coming up in the next few months.
5/1/2015 6:14:45 PM
So we thinking twitter will ever bounce back?
5/1/2015 6:24:54 PM
5/3/2015 6:10:46 AM
Yeah I'm ridiculously heavy in Apple. I bet it's 15% or more of my portfolio.
5/3/2015 9:48:49 AM
It's my second largest stock holding after IBM.
5/3/2015 3:21:37 PM
Did anyone invest in Boj after they went public?
5/3/2015 3:29:38 PM
They aren't public yet.
5/3/2015 3:54:59 PM
When is the IPO for BOJO?
5/4/2015 2:20:34 PM
it was supposed to be late April but there's no official word on when it will be as far as I've read.
5/4/2015 3:01:26 PM
Is it just regional pride that makes you guys excited to own a piece of Bojangle's or do you actually have some rational basis to want to buy? Personally I don't want anything to do with fast food at this point in time. They're running up against an industry wide decrease in top line sales (at least in the US) and a potentially massive uptick in labor costs.
5/4/2015 4:32:05 PM
expected to go Friday the 8thfood IPOs have been big recently - ride the wave

So just call fidelity and say hey, i want to purchase some bojangles stock? Also, how much is a minimum to buy stock like this?!
5/6/2015 2:22:56 AM
the minimum is the current stock price + any commission feesyou may want to start with something safer that doesn't fluctuate as much as an ipo
5/6/2015 9:34:08 AM
^
5/7/2015 7:02:07 PM
Or at least wait a while before you buy it so the price normalizes. If you're not buying it to make a quick buck, there's no reason to buy on IPO day.I, however, will be purchasing some BOJA today fo sho.
5/8/2015 7:43:29 AM
What are you guys thinking for this? I put a limit order in at 22, may do 25, but definitely not anything above that
5/8/2015 8:44:58 AM
i put my limit at 30 - we'll see how it goes
5/8/2015 9:34:16 AM
I'm seeing rumors that it'll open at 40+....so I'm out if those are accurate
5/8/2015 9:52:00 AM
Got in at 26.55
5/8/2015 10:20:52 AM
Got out around 27.60, might get back in if it hits 20

5/8/2015 11:18:57 AM
How did you get in? I looked for it on Fidelity and couldn't find it.
5/8/2015 3:42:22 PM
^ was on Robinhood like 2 mins before the opening bell.I put in an initial limit order at 20 and then it opened at 26.55. I got in at 27. Gonna hold it for a while and see what it does.
5/10/2015 6:36:37 PM
In on BOJA at $24 this mornin .
5/11/2015 11:51:24 AM
Tried getting some at 22 via scottrade, but obviously that didnt happen Let's see how far she slides ... It seems to be a sorta blah time to be entering the market as a whole, so not sure what BOJO was thinking timing wise, but I guess they don't care where it goes on day 2 as long as they pull in a ton of money on the actual offering day.
5/12/2015 9:09:12 AM
5/13/2015 11:42:15 AM
^^ hah, yeah this is the "Sell in May and Go Away" part of the year, right?
5/13/2015 2:01:29 PM
jumped on BKFS at open for 26.25 - company stats were too appealing to not take a gamble
5/20/2015 10:25:38 AM
I'm waiting on Fitbit, I think with the lawsuit from Jawbone it's going to scare people away. Probably the best wearables company in the market.
6/1/2015 2:01:04 PM
Can anyone recommend me a mutual fund? I am stock stoopid. I want to start socking some money away, the way my business has been this year I don't have enough to buy a rental property, but could benefit from putting some money in savings every month. Also what are the fees like? Say I want to pull money out for an investment prop at some point in the future? Say my income tax bill comes in higher than I had hoped and I need to withdraw to pay it? (I am self employed) Do I get raped?
6/3/2015 5:39:08 PM
1. VFINX2. Your savings account should be separate from your investment account3. .17% expense ratio4. Depends upon the investment vehicle. In a non retirement account it shouldn't matter unless you get some stupid C? shares which are backloaded.

6/4/2015 2:51:43 PM
yeah i like fitbit as a product, but they play in a space that has no moat. it would be trivial for an AAPL or some other company to eat their lunch. honestly, their only competitive advantage they have is a better web/app experience and an entrenched networked userbase. if not for that, i'd probably choose a different fitness tracker.

12% every year? Please let me know what he invested in so I can follow.
6/4/2015 11:12:08 PM
Jesus Christ, it's a teaching example, not a god damned stock or fund tip.I wish I had started saving earlier, I think just about everybody who has any kind of financial goals wishes they had put more of the money they earned in high school into AAPL instead of buying gas for our 1994 Honda Accord and boone's farm wine. I mean, that memory of fingerbanging my buddy's sister at the sonic drivethru is cool and all, but I'd rather have an extra half a million when I retire.
