Apparently the last thing that went thru his head, besides the concrete steps, was heckling Arod. So I guess Josh Hamilton's off the hook now.

Only two games back in the race for the #1 pick

Amazing tank job by the Braves management. Got rid of anyone worth a damn at the trade deadline. Worst in mlb in run differential, should be able to get the #1 pick if we keep shitting the bed so hard. This team was 42-42 and technically in the NL East race. Amazing. Oh well I kept saying I'd rather us lose 100 than 81 and it looks like it will happen.

Nice bit of inspiration to close the books on the Braves season - despite a significant reduction in revenue from 2014, the Braves were actually more profitable this year! Yay Liberty Media!http://m.ajc.com/news/sports/baseball/liberty-braves-revenue-drops-16-million-but-income/npGrh/I expect more the same next year. Will not be attending any games. Assholes.

Wish someone would pony up enough cash to buy the Braves from Liberty. Damn you Ted Turner and your dumbass decision to trade your entire net worth for AOL and TWC stock.

Simmons traded to angels. I have no idea what this team is doing anymore...

So who are we gonna pull for next year? Can it be another NL team?
11/12/2015 9:01:11 PM
i've been thinking about the pirates maybe?

Ill probably be a Cubs fan next year. Don't really understand why our front office won't get with the sabermetric crowd. Simmons defense alone made him a top-5 SS at a very affordable rate for the next 5 years. We gave that up for more young pitching which we have already stockpiled. Eventually we need to build some depth at the everyday positions. The Royals, Astros, Cubs, and Blue Jays all had turnarounds in their fortunes with strong, balanced lineups and good pitching. The Braves seem to think they are going to recreate the early 90s, but baseball has changed.

Cameron Maybin sent to the Tigers for two more pitchers. We might not have enough fielders to fill out a lineup card. Not a bad trade though, cam won't ever have more value than that
11/20/2015 10:01:17 PM
No issue with today's trade of Maybin in as he really wasn't very good last year (0.6 WAR iirc). Would be nice if we actually tried trading for some positional talent instead of more fucking pitching. I guess we want to reproduce what the Mets did, but the Mets only started rolling after their lineup got white hot in the 2nd half. Pitching is relatively easy to find in baseball now with everyone throwing 95. Finding bats/speed/defense is the true secret to success now.[Edited on November 21, 2015 at 4:17 AM. Reason : F]
