I am registered with, and buy vehicles almost every week from that very sale, let me assure you, the suspension may have been fine when it was taken there on a rollback, but once it gets picked up and moved at least a half dozen times by one of the poor underpaid overworked loader drivers that work there, it will at the very least need new lower control arms. They use huge rubbertire loaders with 24 foot forks and their only purpose in life is to move as many cars as possible during the day... and they just. don't. fucking. care. if/when your shit gets torn up. I picked up an e46 just today from that sale and it was lucky to just get damage to the rear LCAs, last time I was picking up a truck and they DROPPED it off the forks setting it down to turn it around for loading onto my trailer, and completely obliterated the perfect front bumper, fog lamps, headlamps, and grille the whole reason I bought the fucker in the first place
http://youtu.be/0EJgCTJazu4

The video gives you some idea, only the loaders at IAA raleigh will go about 30mph and they LOVE to demonstrate just that.

still, ill be bidding on the BRX

It already is road legal. After crashing it I drove it back from VA and commuted with it to work 3 days, as well as took a girl out one night. All the lights operate perfectly, including the passenger rear tail & brake lights. The side view mirror was smashed but the glass itself was still intact - I reattached it with duct tape, and even reconnected the defrost wires, haha. Only lighting missing is the rear back up light, for which there is no legal requirement.

The Track Daze staff at VIR let me re-enter the track for the afternoon sessions, with the car as it is now. I didn't stay out though, as the exhaust manifold disconnected from the overpipe (and at the time I didn't know for sure what happened). I had that reconnected the following day though.

^^ I haven't clicked on the pics yet or know what happened, but if what you say in that post is true, how come it is considered totaled? If it drives, what's the problem? And did you post here about the accident, I missed it.

It's mentioned on page 49 of "what did you do to your car today" thread.

Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ktz9CRPAZT4&feature=player_detailpage#t=781
(start the video at 12:30 mark)

Despite being drivable the car sustained over $18000 in damage.

The top gear followers will hate it because jc says the front and rear of the car look the same. I honestly have no problem with it. I also think the panamera look bad from behind but it's grown on my and I like her bulbous rear better than that of the cayenne (sp?)

Not sure if you can stretch your budget this much, but I saw this car at SCCA AutoX Nationals this year and it was A) Sexy as hell and B) Fast as hell

I don't know the owner or anything, but most of the SCCA people who compete at the Nationals level know their shit and take good care of their cars, so this one would probably be a great option except for the price being $6k above your posted max. The car is also in Dallas right now, not sure if you're up for that kind of fly and buy purchase either. I thought I'd post it up here at least though!

^^^ Most people with S2k's are running in STR now, since that class allows Koni's and wider wheels.

S2000 was "B Stock" in 2013. In 2014, "Stock" becomes "Street" and runs on 140TW street tires, so S2000 non-CR will be in "B Street". S2000 CR gets bumped to "Super Street" because of how rare and relatively fast it is with the weight difference and stiffer stock springs and such.

S2000's dominate STR typically, but saying it allows "Konis" is a bit of an understatement...it allows any springs and dampers you want to run. Konis are allowed in stock/street, actually, you just can't change the springs. S2000's run in BSP a lot too, since it's similar to STR with race tires instead of street tires.

Yeah sorry, haven't spent a lot of time on the computer the past week or so. Here is my new car, AKA love of my life hahaha.

2006 Basalt Black Cayman S with 56k miles. 6 speed manual, and only options the car has (AFAIK) are HID headlights, Sport Chrono and painted crest wheel caps. The previous owners collectively kept a 3 ring binder with all service records. Last owner had a Pioneer touchscreen bluetooth equipped stereo installed - which works pretty well. Leith Porsche gave the car a once over on Monday and said everything looked good. However, they did mention that the ECU had been aftermarket reflashed. Hopefully that added a few horsepower, but I can't really tell since I don't have much to compare it too. Car was originally purchased at Brumos Porsche in Jacksonville, FL.

The term mc mansion cracks me up.

Ohh no! Wait... I came from a 2200sqft brick front typical suburb home.

Anything with mansion in the title is an improvement.
