You watched 19 episodes of something you didn't enjoy, and then set out to watch a twentieth which you just so happened to enjoy?I couldn't imagine watching more than a few episodes if I never actually enjoyed any of them.

Yes, a sad but true fact. I have always thought it had potential, and have enjoyed parts of episodes, but this one was the first I've enjoyed as a whole. I keep watching because I really love the marvel cinematic universe that has been established, and this is part of it, so I continue to watch. Also at least I'm not like the people in other threads such as walking dead that come in and bitch about how terrible it is every week and call everyone else idiots for continuing to watch it and enjoy it.
5/1/2014 8:10:55 AM
^^ A lot of people(myself included) have given this show a ton of slack because it's Marvel or because it's Joss Whedon or both. Personally, unless the finale's really good and sets up something interesting going forward, I'm out.

I was ready to drop this show until the turn it took with Hydra, things have gotten better since then. Going to see where the finale takes us, and as long as there wouldn't be a conflict for that timeslot on my DVR for next season I'm likely to keep it.I do wish Deathlock looked a little better though...mostly looks like guy in hockey pads with a few lighted accents.

They need to blow half his face off so that the metal is exposed like that all the time
5/5/2014 10:28:09 AM
I haven't been watching the show b/c I think it's awful but I heard it's getting better but have they introduce any marvel superheroes yet...you know like they could? I'm talking second tier characters?
5/5/2014 4:25:26 PM
^you mean like Deathlok? who was discussed in the last 3 posts
5/5/2014 4:36:20 PM
is he it?
5/5/2014 5:21:07 PM
renewed for second season, not surprisingly

my man just anchored a zip line harpoon into acoustic ceiling tile
5/10/2014 9:37:35 PM
i thought it was just a drop ceiling tile, but same differencedespite all of that, i still enjoy the show
5/10/2014 9:42:41 PM
yeah some things you just need to overlook, lol
5/11/2014 1:56:21 AM
We started watching SHIELD about 2 weeks ago and have caught up today after watching Winter Soldier 2. As a Marvel dork (but not a huge comic book guy) I have enjoyed it enough. Interested to see where it goes for the last episode. I would like more crossover back, like having Coulson reappear in the movies. Glad that we get some cameos and crossovers from the movies though. And I'm glad I'm not the only one that caught the harpoon into the drop ceiling tile. Shit like that doesn't bother me on a story level, but it definitely makes me laugh.

solid season finale
5/13/2014 11:06:54 PM
Yeah I loved that episode, and the constant Fury/Coulson quips were great.
5/13/2014 11:52:15 PM
Did they ever reveal how Coulson is still around?
8/18/2014 7:59:34 PM
yep
8/18/2014 8:53:55 PM
I just started the series a few days ago, on Episode 9 now. Not the greatest show, but not the worst. I'll probably keep watchng episodes as long as they keep making them.To be honest, I'm much more excited about seeing Agent Carter, especially after the short.
8/18/2014 9:08:48 PM
Show got a lot better right before cap 2 came out, then the last 3-4 episodes were actually really good.
8/19/2014 2:20:26 AM
This episode broke my heart.
9/26/2014 8:08:13 AM
Why, because of RIP Xena?
9/26/2014 8:53:00 AM
No, Fitz
9/26/2014 10:11:53 AM
yeah, that was some sad shit
9/26/2014 5:39:05 PM
Fitz made a friend! Any ideas about where the Coulson etchings are leading? They look like intricate circuits.
10/1/2014 9:42:09 AM
Finally got around to watching the season premiere last night, enjoyed it. I liked the villain although I guess he's more of a henchman. Definitely more of the type of superpower I'd expect from the Marvel universe and good to see some of the Captain America actors show up.Pleased that they didn't just have some kind of convenient recovery for Fitz, although I'm sure that as the season progresses he is either going to be healed some way or become even smarter, kind of like a savant.
10/2/2014 10:15:19 AM
SPOILER ALERTSimmons is cloaked.
10/2/2014 11:07:03 AM
^Like the one Black Widow wore in Cap 2?
10/2/2014 12:36:13 PM
coulson put her undercover as bait for hydra
10/2/2014 1:02:52 PM
Oh ya, I figured as much. I thought he was suggesting that Hydra folks didn't see her as Simmons.
10/2/2014 1:31:33 PM
No, as in she's invisible and inaudible, just like the cloaking tech Coulson wanted Fitz to reverse engineer.
10/2/2014 1:36:17 PM
Ohhh. That would make a lot of sense.
10/2/2014 2:08:55 PM
btw, Nathan Petrelli needs to get rid of that hideous mustache.
10/2/2014 5:21:17 PM
I think he needs it to pull off that stereotypical military accent
10/2/2014 5:27:17 PM
This show has continued to get better this season. Last episode things were actually getting pretty interesting. Although in terms of comic book shows I watch its still way behind Arrow and Flash, and about even with Constantine which I'm enjoying a surprising ammount
11/20/2014 1:04:00 PM
Agree, right now Flash is probably the best of the comic book shows in my opinion. Gotham is pretty good too.
11/20/2014 1:32:38 PM
Still too early to really judge the big new three (although I do hope they all get picked up for a second season), but I will agree than SHIELD has been rocking it this season.
11/20/2014 1:35:38 PM
Caught up to the latest episode. It seems that some of the things they encounter are almost Avenger worthy, like this city they're looking for. You mean to tell me that about 6 shield agents are going after this city that contains potential to wipe out the human race, and the Avengers are just kinda hanging out? Seems like something a little more important than a team of ragtag ex-shield agents.
12/2/2014 11:04:24 AM
Mid-season finale was really good.
12/10/2014 9:45:07 PM
One thing that bugged me...they made a big deal about having to go down there in hazmat suits, and then when they are racing to get to Skye, nobody is wearing them, but they're ok.Does the eyeless guy ring a bell for anybody who reads the comics?
12/11/2014 10:48:22 AM
The prevalent theory is that the eyeless guy is Reader.http://comicbook.com/2014/12/10/agents-of-s-h-i-e-l-d-is-the-character-in-the-midseason-finales-/
12/11/2014 10:50:31 AM
Anybody watch the latest episode? I'm not quite sure what happened there at the end. Are those two moles for Hyrdra? Why were they sneaking around looking for Fury's toolbox?
3/9/2015 10:26:15 PM
3/10/2015 8:36:19 AM
Yeah, I'm assuming they're working for Maria Hill or Fury[Edited on March 10, 2015 at 9:04 AM. Reason : $$$]
3/10/2015 9:04:31 AM
I thought it was more that they didn't trust Coulson's judgment after whatshisname's death.
3/10/2015 9:39:51 AM
They gave him the model lola car a while ago though. They've been working on this for some time.I think Coulson secretly knows. He has commented a few times that he couldn't figure out how to make the car fly. I think that's a hint that he has examined the entire thing and knew what it was up to.He is way too smart to be taken by those two.
3/10/2015 9:42:11 AM
That Skye forest scene was badass.
