Yeah, the way hacks try and frame this as only exposing corruption and ignoring the issue that it's probably being done by cyber-attacks from foreign countries is always entertaining (actually, it's more disturbing)

I think you're accusing the wrong side of being "hacks".

Btw Wikileaks has denied that Russia is the source, and they've never lied about a source, as far as I know.

They also tweeted that they have a surprise for Kaine and Brazile, who have been pushing the "Russia" narrative hard.

"The U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC) is confident that the Russian Government directed the recent compromises of e-mails from US persons and institutions, including from US political organizations. The recent disclosures of alleged hacked e-mails on sites like DCLeaks.com and WikiLeaks and by the Guccifer 2.0 online persona are consistent with the methods and motivations of Russian-directed efforts. These thefts and disclosures are intended to interfere with the US election process. Such activity is not new to Moscow—the Russians have used similar tactics and techniques across Europe and Eurasia, for example, to influence public opinion there. We believe, based on the scope and sensitivity of these efforts, that only Russia's senior-most officials could have authorized these activities."

Serious question. Can you read? Because I'm not sure you can considering this came two post after mine that clearly said exactly what you said no one says.

"

I agree.

I just think it's funny how the moderator asked Clinton about her exposed corruption and her response was "Will Donald Trump denounce Putin".

As far as I'm concerned, exposing corruption is always good regardless of intent. Unfortunately in this case it's a bit scary that so much has been shown but nothing will come of it as it seems the system is too far gone. Again, the lack of concern from democrats is what worries me. You have such a corrupt system with the DNC, and between amnesty, migrants, immigrants the democrats will have all the "needy Latinos" they need to never lose an election again. So the corrupt are only gaining power, and revealing the corruption only gets a "well Trumps a sexist" response from the hacks, because the biased media controls their perception.

If the intelligence officers in the national security meetings told the two candidates it was the Russians it is a pretty safe bet it was the Russians. I mean you're entering the ridiculous realm of conspiracy if you don't believe national security briefings. These officers are not Clinton or Obama stooges.

Beyond that, it is utterly bizarre that Trump has attacked basically every foreign alliance and leader but can't here. It's just bad politics. Say if they did it I condemn and then move on to the content. It's his stubbornness over a nothing issue like that which makes me wonder if he is a legitimate candidate.

The penalty for noncompliance was £12 million."

What's the argument? Multiple intelligence agencies are working together to collude against Russia to hurt Trump in private briefings?

What's more likely? They have a better idea of what is going on or the guy from the apprentice does?

The argument is that it's not a ridiculous conspiracy theory that the US military and intelligence services are wrong or that they have their own agenda, regardless of what gets disseminated to that Trump and whatever that dipshit regurgitates back.

Whether or not the Russians actually hacked the DNC is irrelevant. If it's in the interest of US ruling class to finger the Russians, then that's what they'll do. It's been shown time and time again that their goals aren't in line with mine so yeah it's a little scary.

I'll be a man and admit that I could be very wrong. You guys are right and there is history, even recent, of intelligence being used for very political reasons. Hell its part of why our foreign policy the last two decades has been abysmal.

I will say the most likely here is that Trump is wrong and that Russia is behind the hacks (again, I'll say that that doesn't mean that Assange is their puppet -- WikiLeaks is the most well know and best outlet for leaks to be hosted).

It would only be illegal if they coordinated ad spending, which they didn't, so it's not. I can't believe anyone still thinks Wikileaks is going to drop something significant. They blew their wad early with the DNC hack and everything since then has amounted to nothing.

Hannity has killed Assange time and time again and called out his work for being wrong many times. If you've become a political go to for guys like Hannity maybe it's time to look in the mirror.

He has linked to GatewayPundit multiple times while trying to sow doubt in to that DNC guys death. Maybe it's vice versa with InfoWars (them linking to him). Hard to tell with so many InfoWars articles about the WikiLeaks.

I'm actually a bit amazed that people think Assange is in any way non-partisan at this point. He is releasing documents and I don't think that he is doing anything sinister with that. But all the other nonsense simply undermines the Wiki mission.

Yes, of course it is. Hypocrites, all. Especially those who were pounding their chests about Iraq as if we didn't all know it was a disaster before the leaks.

Again and again I've said my gripe isn't with the leaks. If they are out there they should be disseminated. It is with the way Assange has conducted himself. For fucks sake do you think it was "just transparency" that he tweeted about an earpiece (that was obviously for a UN trip) the day after the right wing was abuzz with a conspiracy about having one during a debate? Do you not see how this undermines his credibility when he truly does have documents that are of note?

He's said in the past (and about the current leaks) that their goal is maximum political impact. Of course they have an agenda, and I do think they make mistakes with some of the tweets they send out, but I can't agree with your characterization. The left wing media has taken a side this election, that doesn't mean Wikileaks is now right wing. They also RT from Jill Stein, TYT, Al Jazeera, and other leftie sources, far more than from people like Hannity.

I hope that was an opinion piece and not a journalist (just checked... It was opinion). I read it and also read a Bloomberg View opinion on it that explained it from the other side in depth.

You have to make a few leaps and/or time travels to claim any real corruption but again it follows a pattern of the Clinton's being the prototypical DC establishment people that we already knew they were.

So here is a question for you adultswim.

For those of us who really don't think GOP policy provides any real financial or economic improvement for the greater good and are APPALLED by their positions on women's rights and LGBTQ rights... but also acknowledge that Clinton has a history of deceit if not outright contempt for rules and regulations. What are we to do?

Knowing that if Trump wins that likely means the GOP holds on to the Senate and House and creates a conservative majority on SCOTUS. Is there any choice but to hold your nose and support and defend Clinton. Without her winning this election the worst-case scenario happens. With her you kick the can down the road and live to fight another day.

I wasn't passionate about anyone in either primary except not Trump. That is why I chose to vote in the GOP primary. At least I've been consistent this cycle with him being the one candidate I have an unchanged opinion on.

I'm not trying to convince anyone to vote a certain way. There's a chance I'll vote for Clinton. I just like seeing corruption exposed, and I'm enjoying following this story.

But I am curious to know what it would take to change your vote. Proof of war for profit? Proof of election rigging? Proof of an assassination? Note: I'm not saying I believe any of that, just a hypothetical question.

As far as SCOTUS and all that, people don't live forever, and the world is moving in a progressive direction, imo. I'd rather think long term.
