His FT shooting is about all he is bringing right now. Actually was glad to see Lee on the court late yesterday. Turners D and shooting slump are a liability.

It still helps open up our offense for the D to have to have a no help defender. Also I remember a play where Ralston beat his guy running the baseline so either Abu or Freeman's defender switched and Cat got the ball down low for an easy bucket. That being said, he needs to hit some 3s.

People talking about how poorly Villanova shot yesterday don't seem to understand the type of game Ralston had. Those FT's were incredibly clutch, but that game wouldn't have ever been close if Ralston was on.

I disagree. I think we won for a variety of reasons, but the ability to score in the paint is what made the difference. If it had been a 3 point shootout, I don't know that we would have won.

^^true - we dominated the paint. but i think the point was, we won without shooting lights out. we weren't just hitting every thing (like the duke win, for example). we beat the #1 seed without our 2nd leading scorer making a FG and the team only hitting 3 3s.

The inside was open because nova was rotating and switching onto Ralston every time he tried to run by a screen and get open. He often was doubled outside leaving the gaps for Cat to drive and for the bigs to get position and dominate. That gameplan let us do our thing without needing the outside shots to fall.
