The fact that he regularly calls himself a "Wolf Badger" or some other variant on television shows to me that he still feels a part of NC State. He graduated from NC State and got his BA here, so we can still call him one of our own. I agree also with others that without his stint in Wisconsin, he may never had received enough national prominence for Seattle to even take a chance on him in the draft.

He respects us, and makes that respect known on the national stage. Can't really ask for more.

even though RW was a much better college QB than rivers and a slightly better pro, Rivers is now the greatest active QB to never play in a super bowl. Would be nice to see the chargers even try to put together a defense next year.

Good grief, Letterman did a horrible job with that interview. Interrupted Russell several times with sharp, abrubt subject changes and closed questions. I can't believe he ended his questioning with "and you're dad died when?" ... "and cause of death was complications from diabetes?" then gets right up and has Russell throw him a pass. Just an awful job but Russell handled it very well (as per usual.)
