"streakiness?" aka receivers dropping perfect passes???
11/26/2012 10:54:54 AM
Nah, there is that, but there are definitely times when glennon is just off and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.Streaky is a good way to describe him.
11/26/2012 10:58:15 AM
anyone else hear glennons name mentioned as one of the potential best future nfl qbs in this draft on mike and mike this morning?[Edited on November 26, 2012 at 6:45 PM. Reason : .]

Did Glennon make the Senior Bowl?
12/6/2012 9:09:49 PM
just got back from the game, who made the senior bowl?
12/6/2012 9:28:39 PM
^Mike Glennon, State College's Quarterback..
12/6/2012 9:33:40 PM
I'm going to assume Glennon is on this list...anybody with insider want to post the article?http://insider.espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/8720003/ranking-10-best-quarterbacks-2012-college-football-season-ncf

Ryan NassibAlso receiving votes: Collin KleinDerek CarrJordan LynchTyler BrayTyler WilsonEJ Manueland last mentioned...Mike Glennon, North Carolina State Wolfpack -- The Nick Foles of the upcoming draft class will be a mid- to late-round pick because his unique size (6-6, 232) and quick release will be too intriguing for an NFL team to pass up. His highlight tape features some eye-popping throws, but his "lowlight" tape shows the inconsistencies that plagued Glennon and the Wolfpack throughout his career.
12/10/2012 8:49:23 AM
Great write up on Glennon on the Senior Bowl website. Basically he's great and the talent around him is suspect at best and through the pre-draft process could possibly be the top rated QB by the time of the draft. http://www.seniorbowl.com/files/MIKE%20GLENNON%20SB%20PROFILE.pdf
12/13/2012 11:42:04 AM
In many of the draft boards I have seen recently, Glennon is the top QB off the board. It's hard to see all the insider stuff, but you can get it secondhand off other websites. It surprised me, but Mel Kiper has said things very similar in his tweets as well.
12/13/2012 11:54:04 AM
12/13/2012 12:02:52 PM
Was pretty surprised to hear Kiper say Glennon would probably be the number one qb taken, don't pay attention to the pre draft stuff and always thought Barkley would be the clear number one. Would be pretty cool if we had three nc state alumni starting at qb in the nfl.
12/13/2012 9:46:26 PM
If Glennon starts getting a lot of hype people around the country are probably going to think about him like I thought about Blaine Gabbert.
12/13/2012 10:04:51 PM
yea ok, that was a dumb post.Especially when really shitty QBs like Ponder and Gabbert have gone top 15 in the last couple years
12/13/2012 11:38:49 PM
"Overall he handled the books about as well as he threw the football, posting a 3.1 grade point average in his undergraduate major. His GPA in the MALS masters study, which centered largely on leadership and sports management, was in the 3.8 range on a 4.0 scale."http://www.gopack.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/121412aaa.html
12/14/2012 9:21:51 AM
Yeah I think Glennon goes in the first two rounds myself. Definitely first three rounds. Someone will fall in love with his arm strength in workouts
12/14/2012 1:24:05 PM
Go watch some old highlights of Davis/Stone/Evans throwing the ball...then quickly switch over to a Glennon highlight video....it will blow your fucking mind.
12/14/2012 1:31:48 PM
^what about the Beck grip it and rip it technique?
12/14/2012 2:52:19 PM
the next jeff george
12/14/2012 3:04:17 PM
Yeah mobility is key in todays nfl. Even if you arent a scrambler you've got to be able to buy time like a roethlisberger at least. I don't like his chances at being a great pro but he definitely didn't have much talent around him. Our running game was a joke the last two years. I think if he's around In the third round though even as a decent backup QB with upside potential he'd have values
12/14/2012 4:01:50 PM
i hope he gets drafted by the seahawks as a backup, that'd be fucking hilarious
12/14/2012 4:13:49 PM
^oh he'd be pissed
12/14/2012 4:27:11 PM
Graduated with Glennon today
12/14/2012 4:49:07 PM
12/14/2012 5:51:40 PM
Agreed. And he's clearly the equivalent of those two when it comes to pocket presence, football iq, avoiding pressure, etc...
12/14/2012 5:58:46 PM
12/14/2012 6:03:40 PM
Peyton manning gets away with it because he reads the defense so well.brady has amazing pocket presence so the point stands.
12/14/2012 8:27:54 PM
It's easy to have pocket presence when you have 5 seconds to throw the ball a majority of the time and you have receivers that are actually open. It's much more difficult when your running back hasn't even had time to run his safety valve route and your WRs can't get any separation. If Glennon doesn't fuck up at the senior bowl and combine/pro day...he's going first round.
12/14/2012 9:25:08 PM
Brady moves around in the pocket really well. Not sure what you guys are talking about.Glennon does not[Edited on December 14, 2012 at 9:32 PM. Reason : D]

1/2/2013 3:18:14 PM
I think a strong Senior Bowl and combine will keep him in the first round and there's still a good chance he's the first QB taken.
1/2/2013 3:20:59 PM
Surrounded by duds all year. No Mustafa Greene, WR/TE/RBs can't catch, bad O-Line. Amazing the hate Glennon gets when he and Wolff were clearly the best and only NFL caliber players we had this year. Look at what RW did when he went to Wisconsin. Night and Day difference. RW and Glennon were pretty comparable while at NCSU. Glennon and Ryan, who he gets compared to, are comparable as well. Glennon (SR) 330-564 (58.5%) 31 TDs, 17 INTs, 4031 yardsRyan (SR) 388-654 (59.3%) 31 TDs, 19 INTs, 4507 yardsFirst round pick and possible NFL starter and gets shitted on by half his college fans.[Edited on January 3, 2013 at 12:43 AM. Reason : Ryan comparison ]
1/3/2013 12:37:10 AM
i bet we are all missing glennon next year
1/3/2013 12:46:17 AM
glennon is a rare talent that we may not have anyone like again for awhile...he would be top 5 player in country if he went to one of top programs...no doubt about it.
