Yeah, our league scores 4.5 per TD pass, so Rogers, Brady, Brees, Newton, Stafford and Manning all went in the first 2 rounds.

I am in a league that starts 1 TE and 3 WR. I drafted Jared Cook late, in like the last round as my only TE, and now I don't know if I am comfortable going into the season with him as my only TE.My WRs are:AJ GreenSteve Smith (car)Vincent JacksonMalcolm FloydDenarious MooreWas thinking about offering Denarious Moore to a guy in exchange for Pettigrew (he has Jermaine Gresham as well). His only bench WR is Laurant Robinson.Thoughts on this trade?[Edited on August 27, 2012 at 10:39 PM. Reason : .]
8/27/2012 10:37:58 PM
I'm very high on Pettigrewimo if you can't get Graham, Gronk or Gates in the first 3 rounds, wait til later rounds for TE...Pettigrew should strive again in Detroit, especially with safeties shading off the middle to double Megatron]
8/27/2012 10:42:49 PM
i like aaron hernandez better than gronk and gates. and you can get him like 4-5 rds later
8/27/2012 10:45:04 PM
i get the Gates injury concernsbut how can anyone like Hernandez better than Gronk? more injury concerns? last season should firmly implement Gronk > Hernandez imo
8/27/2012 10:48:54 PM
hernandez was injured for part of the season and more of a vertical threat than gronkwhat fantasy football people arent gettting is that the acquisition of brandon lloyd isnt affecting welker, but gronk instead.i say at best gronk has 70 receptions for 1000 yds and 6-7 td'si could see aaron hernandez ending up around the same with maybe a few more receiving yards
8/27/2012 10:56:55 PM
agree to disagreebut 6'6" > 6'2"
8/27/2012 11:13:23 PM
8/27/2012 11:21:22 PM
and 4.48 > 4.68hernandez vs gronk
8/27/2012 11:51:28 PM
i'm sure Brandon Lloyd can run faster than both of them (got him on my fantasy team this year btw)40 yard dash time is kinda worthless in the redzone though
8/27/2012 11:54:00 PM
wtf happened to Todd Heap?
8/27/2012 11:58:39 PM
im just saying, gronk is going in the 2nd, hernandez in the 6-7th, and their stats shouldnt be much different.
8/28/2012 12:06:17 AM
if Gronk had zero TDs last year instead of 17, he would've still been the 2nd highest rated fantasy TEhe had 90 catches for 1300+ yardsi like Hernandez, but Come on man]
8/28/2012 12:17:51 AM
there is no way he does what he did last season. absolutely no way.i wish there was a way i could bet against it so i could make some money off it too
8/28/2012 12:31:49 AM
so greg olsen or fred davis?
8/28/2012 12:51:42 AM
omg fred davis and its not even close
8/28/2012 1:07:08 AM
why would you say its not that close?
8/28/2012 1:12:49 AM
Because Fred Davis is a monster.
8/28/2012 1:45:00 AM
Olsen scored more TDs last year than Fred Davis, with Shockey taking away catches, who is gone nowOlsen vs Davis is basically a coin flip, unless you're a Redskins homer
8/28/2012 2:03:24 AM
I'm trying to not be a redskins homer. which is why I asked.my thinking was running along the same lines as yours. I have a feeling that olsen could easily be the 3rd or 4th best TE this year, but i also know how much rookie QBs like TEs...and cooley will be working at FB
8/28/2012 3:14:05 AM
he said greg olsen over fred davis lolmore touchdowns hahaha lets completely ignore that fred davis missed 4 games last year and when he played he was a top 8 TE.Fred davis also had more receptions and receiving yards in 12 games than olsen had in 16 gamesunless you have calvin johnson, betting on x amount of TDs is impossible. Receiving TDs are the most inconsistent statistic unless the player is a superstar at their position (and even then some times. look at wes welker in 2009. 1300 yds receiving and 4 TDs)
8/28/2012 9:49:21 AM
I'd say fred davis. But I think olsen should have a good year.
8/28/2012 10:07:05 AM
^^I said it was a coin flipand Shockey had 37 catches and 455 yards...he gone
8/28/2012 10:32:36 AM
3 Keepers...I'm definitely keeping Steve Smith and Mike Vick.Who should be my third keeper?MJD or J. Charles?Or J Stewart, E. Decker..
8/28/2012 1:48:18 PM
Taking off the red colored glasses, what do you guys think about R. Wilson this year?He does use those legs and could score some running TDs...
8/28/2012 1:48:47 PM
I seriously think that he will be a points machine in the NFL. Not necessarily this season, but in the future.
8/28/2012 1:49:42 PM
I actually like RW for the reasons you said. He can/will get it done like he always has.
8/28/2012 1:50:26 PM
Should I drop Deangelo Williams for Cedric Benson?
8/28/2012 1:50:54 PM
^I would. I'm not big on DeAngelo Williams. Already splitting time with Stewart. Plus the addition of Tolbert will further limit his redzone chances, IMO.
8/28/2012 2:01:09 PM
I'm conflicted between Benson and Rashad Jennings.
8/28/2012 2:08:46 PM
^I'd go with Benson.===============Keeper..MJD or J. Charles?MJD has obvious contract issues but Charles is coming off ACL injury plus has the addition of Peyton Hillis to get the goal line carries.Tough call. What do yall think?[Edited on August 28, 2012 at 2:10 PM. Reason : x]
8/28/2012 2:10:18 PM
Just curious, why keep Smith & Vick? I would definitely keep Charles & would think about keeping MJD as well, depending on the rest of my roster. Is Vick really better than the potential QBs that could be available? WR is also pretty deep this year, who would the potential WR targets be if you didn't keep Smith?
8/28/2012 2:57:35 PM
It's a 3 keeper league with 12 teams. So basically, your top 36 players are off the board. I thought about not keeping Vick and drafting a QB. I also don't have a 2nd Round pick so my first pick is very important (1st Overall).I had MJD, Charles, and Vick all last year obviously, and I finished dead last in the league. Much because of injuries but still, I am looking to rebuild. I want to keep Smith because it's a homer pick more than anything, and he should have another solid year.
8/28/2012 3:00:36 PM
Thoughts on Stevan Ridley?I like him, but am weary of NE RBs (mostly of how Belichick can get fickle with them)
8/28/2012 4:36:04 PM
I'm a little unsure of Ridley. I'm with you, a little hesitant about a NE RB. I took him in the 8th round of my 10 team leauge, which I thought was a decent value for him at that point in the draft. Might have to wait for the first couple of games to see how he does and how he's used. But I think he's got potential given where most people are drafting him.[Edited on August 28, 2012 at 4:55 PM. Reason : d]
8/28/2012 4:55:18 PM
yeah I got Ridley in the 10th of my 10 team leaguefor some reason I think the Pats are gonna run more in the redzone since defenses will probably be all over Gronk and Hernandezstill i drafted him as a backup, not really sold on any RB from Pats/Packers/Saints/pass happy teams

I don't think Hightower is worth owning
8/28/2012 8:59:48 PM
yeah i don't either, just didn't really know who to pick later on and thought he might have a shot at starting. i'm pretty pleased with it overall thoughi guess i never paid attention that standard passing TDs were only 4 points. i guess 6 would be a little unfair huh?[Edited on August 28, 2012 at 9:06 PM. Reason : .]
8/28/2012 9:04:16 PM
^yeah, 4 is pretty standard. one league i'm in is -6 for INTs (instead of -2), which i really like. makes turnovers a bigger concern.
8/28/2012 9:29:51 PM
is Darius Reynaud a good sleeper pick or will his play be limited?
8/28/2012 9:31:43 PM
it's like 1997 in here with all these fantasy drafts. You guys got Antonio Freeman and Mark Chmura?Seriously guys switch to auctions already. It's been online for like five years, you've had plenty of time to convince the 1-2 douches in your league or just kick them out...
8/28/2012 9:38:07 PM
I blow my money on RBs early, thought it is annoying not to have any money after the 5th or 6th pick. I managed to get Andrew luck for $1 and Wilson for free. Only one guy tried to save his money for the later rounds, and he had his pick of 2nd tier RBs and WRs.
8/28/2012 9:48:29 PM
Just drafted in a league where Cam Newton went 7 and Jimmy Graham 10...
8/28/2012 9:51:25 PM
am I dumb for drafting Jhavid Best in the 11th round?
8/28/2012 9:58:08 PM
was Kevin Smith available?Best is on the PUP list, so while he could have some mid-late season value, he can't play for the first 6 games
8/28/2012 10:01:27 PM
yeah Smith was gone
8/28/2012 10:06:10 PM
Doctors aren't giving Best the ok to play until it's been a year since his concussion
