^^ & ^ Well that's fantastic news. Just when I thought I was starting to turn the corner

meh, I was probably a bit alarmist in my amateur exposition of the dangers of Lamictalvery likely the side effects you're experiencing from it will fade with time...if it helps you, stick with iton the real, though, that shit will give you some mighty nasty withdrawal symptoms. I stopped it cold turkey, and for like 3 hours I felt like there was nothing in the world worth doing. I mean absolutely nothing. like, if Cindy Crawford had offered to fuck me during those hours, I'd have thought, "Man, how futile...it's just meaningless sex, and it'll be over like 2 minutes anyway. and I don't want sex, I want love "so, like, if/when you do stop taking Lamictal you should taper off semi-gradually. and don't pay the resultant depression too much mind

Didn't know where else to put this
9/7/2013 10:32:55 AM
yeah, me too. and it reasserts itself even after weeks of successful 'good' bedtimes. but i don't really feel right when I'm following my natural sleep schedule either. I did 3rd shift for a while, but it wasn't really right for me either. blah.
9/7/2013 11:52:40 AM
lol, figures
9/7/2013 11:55:59 AM
well, if you wanna go to bed at 6 am, working til 7 blows. it always takes me a few hours to calm down and sleep after i get home from work too. some second shifts start at 3, but that's shaving it close if you're variable at all. working at home without set hours rules. but i have enough sleepless nights and lost days from sleeping that I still feel like my weird sleep stuff is interfering with my productivity. not to mention i influence my partner into staying up too late and he's always tired. blah.

Have you ever tried a dawn simulator or a lightbox?
9/7/2013 2:23:58 PM
i tried bedrooms with skylights for four years. now I'm doing the opposite and blacking my room out and just going by the clock. seems to work better than the lights.

Mentioned the stupids on the lamictal to the shrink. She acted like she's never heard of it. Going to tell her I want to get off that shit as quickly as possible now. lol, i also just read that wellburtin could cause the stupids as well.jeebus christo[Edited on September 23, 2013 at 2:32 PM. street drug called Special K. aka Ketamine. you can get it from your local cool veterinarian because it's an animal tranquilizer or buy it on the street or at a dance party. not joking, look into it.it is known to be very effective and near instantaneous at treating depression but for political reasons can't be prescribed.
10/10/2013 1:01:17 AM
haha, yea, people have been getting fucked up off ketamine for a whileBut a few months ago I did read a few articles about how amazing it seems to be few depressionsounds amazingalthough, every legitimate study done has always said MDMA could possibly be a treatment for depression in controlled environments, but god forbid the FDA get it's head out of it's ass
10/11/2013 1:34:38 PM
same with LSD... the government ruins everything.
10/12/2013 2:14:28 AM
dextromethorphan in cough syrup is very similar to ketamine and OTC. Anyone who's used it will attest to it's antidepressant properties, as it leaves you with this amazing "afterglow" feeling the next day. It's the opposite of MDMA, where you feel good for 4 hours and then feel horribly depressed for three days afterwards.

dxm makes me feel bad.
10/12/2013 6:20:53 PM
I like DXM...I tripped balls on it a few times, until I heard that it causes brain damage or some such thinghowever, I believe there's a lot of variability in people's reactions to it...there seems to be about an even split between "Awesome!" / "Meh" / "God, that was fucking horrible"
10/12/2013 7:14:32 PM
the anti-depressant effects don't come into play until after the dissociative effects have worn off. Also, drinking cough syrup and taking powder DXM are two different things; massive amounts of guaifenesin will make you feel nauseous and cold.
10/13/2013 11:00:42 AM
just imagining dissociates shit scares the ever living hell out of me

What's the theory behind this, that it's hard to be depressed when you're having to relearn how to walk and talk amidst your couch and refrigerator having graphic sex in the middle of the hallway?
10/26/2018 1:20:33 PM
have you ever been experienced?
10/26/2018 1:50:46 PM
Mylan can go to hell for discontinuing Wellbutrin XL. I fucking hate taking it twice a day, and I hate everything else now too.

Ugh, sorry to hear that GREEN JAY, that's crap.A bit after I last posted in this thread I switched from trazadone (didn't like the side effects) to mirtazipine. But over the last year that hasn't been effective anymore (almost made me slowly gain weight over time). I still fell asleep quickly with it, but instead of waking 1-2 times a night I went to 3-4, sometimes 5. And often would fully wake up during these events.Sleep specialist said maybe it's anxiety related, go see a psychiatrist. Did that and she put me on Celexa, then added Ambien later (transitioned off the mirtazpine). I think she's a bit too gung ho about the Celexa and thinking I have anxiety though. Since starting Celexa (20mg) she's upped me to 40 mg when I started to complain about strong and recurrent heightened anxiety feelings (which I never had up until I started this med). Then she blasted me for drinking alcohol, at all, while taking Celexa. How the fuck did I get down this road? SMH. Next visit I see her I'm telling her to hell with this crap I don't need it. As an aside I'm now taking Ambien CR instead of regular Ambien. It works fairly well improving my sleep quality. I dunno if it's me, but I've never felt weird from taking it (ditto the regular).
12/4/2018 1:36:48 PM
Can you compare and contrast trazadone and ambien? What were your side effects with trazadone?
12/4/2018 3:21:50 PM
trazadone made me feel hung over all day no matter what. I tried for months. Ambien, well, I got to a point where i just couldn't sleep anymore. I'm dependent on benzos now and can't get off fully. it's made having surgery and sedations really fun since it acts on the same pathway as many anesthetics. sp they basically don't work well at all. Don't take drugz, kidz.
12/4/2018 10:50:28 PM
Been like 4 years since I last took trazadone. But I didn't enjoy using it because it numbed down my basic emotions a bit too much, and really nuked my libido. My interest in sex dropped off a cliff A bit extreme for someone using it to help sleep.I'm not fully sold on Ambien, CR or otherwise. Slept like complete ass last night, including taking around 90 minutes to fall asleep. Never at any point did I feel like I had taken any sleep medication. Seriously have no clue how this drug fucks some people up so much.Hopefully it's just a side effect of tapering off Celexa...or that I recently went on a 4 day binge in NYC
