Real wayfarers for the majority of the time.

Knock-off wayfarers for yard work or anything active where there is high possibility for breakage.

Depends on my activity, but lately for everyday wear, it has been the mirrored or gold rim aviators:
or

For biking, hiking, or kayaking I usually go for my Ray-Bans with croakies:
,

I like the Wayfarers for running:

I have a pair of chrome frame legit Ray-Ban aviators with reflective lenses I'm trying to get rid of if anyone needs more sexiness, I've reached the softcap ($10 says it takes forever for someone to get that).

I've had the same pair of prescription sunglasses for the last dozen years or so

I guess the good news is I don't routinely lose things and my eyesight hasn't degraded lately

is that because most cockpits are already equipped with polarized glass?

^if the cockpit glass is polarized you get distortion and you lose light reflections from surfaces like water, which is not a good thing. it's always a plus to visually be able to tell how high above water you are. light reflection assists with that.

i've been on a cheap knockoff kick lately. Trying more styles instead of dropping a ton of cash on a new pair of authentics. Right now i'm really enjoying the Persol 'typewriter' shape and the Ray-Ban Clubmaster shape. While I do miss the quality build and true glass lenses I also feel a lot less anxiety carrying these around or seeing them fall off my clothing when not on my head.

I got a pair of these Maui Jims. I love them.

I also have another pair of Costa Isabelas with the Pomegranate fade frames and silver mirror 580 lenses. I use those when for around school.

My Maui Jims are for driving/every day.

My other pair of Costas, the ones that I posted in the OP are now used as a beach/boat pair. I need to send them back to Costa to get the lenses fixed.

My 5+ year old pair of prescription sunglasses finally fell apart so I've been going without, but I really need a new pair. Thinking I may go for the Warby Parker "felton" design, in no small part because you can get it with prescription lenses for 150.

Just got http://www.madeeyewear.com/predesigned-glasses/sunglasses/bronsonsun/brongolsil.html

They gave me 20% off because I was drunk and in the "How did you find out about us" section I put "Because I googled 'How in the hell do you add a prescription on Warby Parker'".

I had already picked out my frames from the Home Try-on kit with WP but I wasn't super sold on them just the best of the 5. Alcohol may have prevented me from figuring out how to get the Rx uploaded or maybe you don't even have to upload Rx, but I decided to give Made a try after reading that blogpost/article. Grabbed the sunglasses and a pair of regular frames that I figured I would probably send back. Well I decided to just keep because I liked being able to see better without having to worry about waiting another 2 weeks for WP.

Anyway that's my plug. Apparently they're vertically integrated with the lens factory so they can afford to send trials with your rx already fitted risk free.

Presently, these:

I'm afraid I've been hooked on big lenses for over half my life. Diahann Carroll inspired me.

And I always end up giving my Wayfarers away to friends. People looooove those things.
