NCISNT sounds like some IC shit
12/14/2011 7:39:20 PM
i'll do a headcount saturday and let you know
12/14/2011 7:39:27 PM
This thread took a weird turn
12/14/2011 7:44:23 PM
lol at 50% of the stadium being Syracuse fansUNC probably gets 5-10% at the most
12/14/2011 7:45:07 PM
eh, it probably has a little bit of merit to it. you can't get single game tickets to the UNC game* (i think), have to buy other ACC games, so that helps, and people buy those far in advance. this game is a little different.that said I don't expect to be overwhelmed by the amount of syracuse fans in the arena on saturday, probably more than the average UNC game, but I doubt it's by much.[Edited on December 14, 2011 at 7:48 PM. Reason : *unless they don't sell out in the pick-a-packs sale, I think.][Edited on December 14, 2011 at 7:48 PM. Reason : ]

Do NOT sell your tickets to ORANGE fans! Also if anyone has a student ticket can I use it? I will go in early or whatever you ask!GO PACK!
12/14/2011 9:48:38 PM
I don't know that I've ever seen a syracuse fan. Who are these local fans and why are so many expected to becoming from the DC area? Is that close in that posters mind?
12/15/2011 12:06:03 AM
I know a couple that have tickets..[Edited on December 15, 2011 at 12:07 AM. Reason : judging by all the douchebags at Sabres/Canes games, I wouldn't be surprised to see a good amount.]
12/15/2011 12:06:44 AM
I'm sure there will be plenty of Cuse fans in the house. Considering it's a new york school, and most new yorkers only really support their teams when they play well (with the exception of the mets), there will probably be a convoy of them up from Charlotte to watch the game. That said, they'll still be outnumbered 20-1. This is the biggest home game for us in a lonnng time.
12/15/2011 12:09:17 AM
As someone that grew up in NY state, let me weigh in on this and put your minds at ease.College sports is not a passion in NY for anybody. What we call casual fans in NC are called passionate fans in NY. Aside from the very few in all of NY state that are directly affiliated with Syracuse, nobody up there is really anything more than a casual fan at most. It's simply that there's no other college sports program to affiliate yourself with, so most people in the state will call the orange as their favorite due to lack of competition. So needless to say, don't worry about the very few Syracuse fans at the game, there will be more Tarheel fans dressed in Orange than actual Syracuse fans.GO PACK!North Carolina State University - 88New York State Child Molesters Association - 81[Edited on December 15, 2011 at 12:29 AM. Reason : ^^^ to ncsuftw, you can't compare NY hockey fans to NY college sports fans, it's apples and oranges]
12/15/2011 12:26:55 AM
Wouldn't UNC fans want us to win this one? It could have big implications for them come bracket time.
12/15/2011 1:50:07 AM
It's showing me as being selected in the lottery from a few days back for my student ticket, but not letting me print it out. I took off for this game, and if a stupid computer error won't let me go...
12/15/2011 2:47:36 AM
Cuse is good but they're obviously not quite on the level of a Wisconsin or Kentucky or something. These guys are definitely beatable and we tend to play towards our opponents level. The weird thing about Syracuse as they are one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the country (we suck at defensive rebounding) and one of the worst defensive rebounding teams in the country (we're good at offensive rebounding). So the game may come down to who can hold their own on the glass. What we should be worried about our turnovers. They force an extreme amount of turnovers and they protect the ball really well. We do the opposite on both ends. We've performed well against the zone so that doesn't worry me too much, even though we have no one on the team that can shoot besides Wood. We're good at working it inside against the zone. They block a ton of shots and we never get blocked. Not sure which way that battle goes... we're pretty athletic so I like our chances.Hopefully the refs don't fistfuck us like in the Stanford game. I think we've got a great chance to pull the upset. But in all likelihood it'll be a game that we lead for the most part and then collapse down the stretch against a better team.
12/15/2011 3:35:20 AM
No more student tickets left in On Demand.
12/15/2011 5:08:58 AM
sweet just scored some free (real) tickets.
12/15/2011 8:51:04 AM
I like our chances as long as Wood doesn't get into foul trouble.

After reading the comments on that article my dislike for Syracuse fans has just jumped up a little. They seriously think they will outnumber State fans at the RBC? I mean, come on now...
12/15/2011 10:57:41 AM
I doubt Syracuse thinks that as a whole probably just that one dude

12/15/2011 11:15:58 AM
this is also a fucking huge game. i'm actually very curious what the attendance will be like.
12/15/2011 12:07:20 PM
It'd be cool if ESPN did their college gameday there (not that they would anyway) but the graduation stuff would have prevented that anyway
12/15/2011 12:10:34 PM
That's a shame. Setting up and doing the Gameday morning session from an area with a view on the graduation ceremony would have made for a nice image.

basketball's gameday picks all their matchups at the beginning like the TV schedule anyway.
12/15/2011 12:57:10 PM
I guess that's why people don't really obsess about whether or not Basketball Gameday is coming to down, since there's no chance for a solid run to make them notice you. That's a bid disappointing, but I guess CBB just doesn't get the kinda ratings you need to justify shifting travel arrangements around on short notice.
12/15/2011 1:01:32 PM
^^^that's pretty old news and i do believe it will still be the RBC this saturday for the game
12/15/2011 1:03:37 PM

12/15/2011 1:30:23 PM
anyone got a good seating chart with rows/seats?
12/15/2011 1:45:14 PM
Wouldn't be surprised at all to find a large number of Syracuse fans in Cary/North Raleigh that will make out to the game on Saturday.
12/15/2011 2:21:38 PM
There were quite a few Cuse fans at the RBC the last we scheduled them back in the Preston Shumpert days.
12/15/2011 3:12:28 PM
There are definitely a lot of cuse fans in the area...I know a handfull of em, but to say that they'll out number state fans is dumb.[Edited on December 15, 2011 at 3:34 PM. Reason : re]

Where do we park without a parking pass? I have always had one but am going to the game and tailgating with NC State and one Cuse fan. I assume the lot will be open early for the football scrimmage.
12/15/2011 9:07:33 PM
across trinity road from the stadium, beside the fairgrounds pond, on the corner of youth center drive.
