How would I see what agreement was in place in November of '11?

No idea but that clause has been there for as long as I can remember. Not sure exactly what they've changed as it still looks like it did 4 years ago when they first started the $350 ETF for advanced phones.

I bought a new phone off-contract. It takes a nano-SIM card, but my current phone uses a micro-SIM. I realize I can pretty easily cut it down to nano size, but there's a Verizon store very close to work. Would it be easier and take less time to just drop in and ask them for a new nano-SIM?

I was prepared to cut mine, but my new phone came with a nano. After getting it I'm glad I didn't fuck with it.

I'm paying $120 a month now...it's time to get out of this shit.

TMobile just doesn't have the coverage.

I was about to switch to T-mobile with the recent ETF deal.
I'm tired of paying $200/month for Sprint family plan for 4 lines.
I'm thinking I can do better, but haven't shopped around yet.

Dumping Verizon and switching to Republic was one of the best moves i've made cell phone wise.

I'm saving 60 bucks a month, all with no contract.

So what's this new Sprint Framily plan all about? Seems I have 4 lines already if I can get up to 7 lines, it's only $25/line, unlimited everything except 1GB data. I only use my smartphone to surf the web and email, no video streaming, would 1GB data be enough?

How many of us have quite a bit of money tied into our iPhones due to apps, and other shit, it just seems like a waste to buy all over again due to switching to an android phone?

has to be something like that. Otherwise I'm not sure what he would constitute as "barely using" the phone that would use so much data. I connect to wifi as often as I can (no public wifi at work unfortunately) and have been using about 1.5GB. I mess with my phone a lot and stream music off wifi now and then and still never touch 2GB.

which carriers use the Verizon network but offer cheaper plans (pre-paid or whatever)? i know they usually don't offer the latest phones, so i'll bring my own if necessary.

Verizon is the only network that covers my house

Sprint roams on Verizon for voice and 2G data. It's awful.

Straight talk is a Verizon reseller, but only prepackaged phones through Wal-Mart, and none you'd want to buy. And AFAIK Verizon doesn't allow any resellers on their LTE network, so you'll only be getting 3G at best.

My wife and I just moved back to Verizon because they still offer true unlimited data through my employer. Loving it so far, she's on an iPhone 5s and I got the Lumia Icon Black

buy from best buy, when it comes, take the sim out of your phone and put it in the new one before you turn it on. you'll retain the plan +2 years

sweet thanks; I assume you mean order online, since you said when it comes.

GS4 for $1 or GS5 for $150?

so the bestbuy site has this warning...

"There's a change from Verizon Wireless for unlimited data plans.

Verizon Wireless has ended this plan option, so when you upgrade you'll be switched to their most common 2GB plan by default."

so will the above method still work? if so, can I just pick it up in the store instead of shipping? I got a sharp busted screen and don't feel like waiting 2 weeks

well, that was a big fuck no you can't pick it up in the store. They "have" to activate it there... I told him to put it back on the shelf and walked out. Guess I'll be waiting 2 weeks for a new phone.

There is no 4G LTE on Verizon Prepaid (through VZW prepaid or any re sellers), and probably wont be for a long while.

sweet. ended up getting a GS4 for $1... old, but I like saving $149 compared to the S5 and it's still an upgrade from what I had.

Just activated it, it shows up on my account and my UDP is still intact!

^I assume you followed through with the best buy online route? I'm in the same situation, I think my plan just went off contract.
