just put on today's bs report. i am so excited for the next 50 minutes.

You don't think Manny was roiding in 2004-2007? Weird...
9/29/2011 4:28:38 PM
he was definitely roiding, but so was everyone else. seriously.
9/29/2011 4:50:34 PM
Well that's why I said it was cliche.
9/29/2011 4:52:03 PM
if you think manny ramirez using roids played a "transparent" and "active" role in 2 world series championships, you are either trolling or incredibly stupid, because there is nothing transparent or active about it.
9/29/2011 5:50:55 PM
LOL at a Yankees fan for calling out Red Sox players for roiding up. The Yankees have some of the poster children for roids in their organization. Clemens, A-Rod, Giambi, Pettite, etc. Weak sauce argument calling out a single Red Sox player.
9/29/2011 5:56:48 PM
Who's a Yankee fan? I hate the Yankees. I hate both of those teams. I hate any team that throws away and wastes money and generally controls leagues by doing so, because nothing ever fucking changes; regardless of how blatantly obvious it is when things need to. The steroid angle in regards to the 2004 Red Sox was written about by someone not terribly long ago. I just hate that 2004 and 2007 happened. I wish we could just mar everything that came from those two years; ESPECIALLY all these shit fans that hopped on board. "The Nation"...can fucking go to hell.
9/29/2011 6:14:56 PM
^ I assumed you were a Yankee fan with all of the trolling in this thread.I agree though that the Red Sox bandwagon stuff was out of hand. Winning teams always develop some sort of bandwagon. I saw some douche while driving through Lumberton today with both Yankee and Cowboy logos on the back window of his truck. I immediately did this
9/29/2011 6:26:58 PM
^then where are my bandwagon Tiger fans
9/29/2011 6:47:51 PM

9/29/2011 9:17:18 PM
^^ or like it'd be better if the owners just pocketed the cash.
9/29/2011 9:20:13 PM
^^well said. I just probably hate them more. Calm the fuck down. I respect you. Even posted that shit you posted earlier ab Boone on my Facebook.
9/30/2011 12:05:52 AM
Francona out, yo.
9/30/2011 1:08:00 AM
^^ please excuse my frustration. i'm just rather sick and tired of the whole "but.....steroids!" argument. people just don't look at it rationally and often ignore the fact that baseballs themselves were/are juiced just as much as the players.
9/30/2011 9:38:02 AM
^ that is a very good point. that's rarely mentioned, but it makes it absolutely impossible to try to separate out steroids.and really, people have been using steroids for a long time, and i'd bet anything (if it were provable) that baseball players have been using steroids for way longer than people give them credit. same could be said for any sport, actually. fuck, tiger woods got caught w/ his hand in it.
9/30/2011 9:55:08 AM
never should've cut Nomar
9/30/2011 10:06:15 AM
Epstein/Francona to the Cubs.
9/30/2011 10:07:23 AM
epstein and francona aren't going anywhere, or at least they shouldn't, and anyone who thinks they should is an idiot. although it would be kind of hilarious to see billy beane come in and use his witchcraft wtih the red sox's payroll and then watch them win every world series from now until the end of time.
9/30/2011 10:12:29 AM
welp, nevermind. looks like francona might be leaving.
9/30/2011 11:08:24 AM
Francona is gonna go to the White Sox since Ozzie is now with the Marlins. i just don't see Francona sticking around with the Red Sox. i really like the guy too; i'm a Yankees fan and hate the Red Sox but i've always liked and respected Francona. IMO, his time is up in Boston.
9/30/2011 11:44:04 AM
Yes the Red Sox greatly underachieved the past two seasons, but firing a man that won two world series in the past decade is just stupid. It's not like the problem was with team chemistry or game management. It was due to not having pitching depth, injuries, and individual players not performing up to their normal levels. Cannot blame Francona for that. Hope the Cubs get him just to help out that LOL franchise.
9/30/2011 11:52:05 AM
according to http://www.myfoxboston.com/dpp/sports/report-terry-francona-to-leave-red-sox-20110930
9/30/2011 11:56:28 AM
quick, go post that on a red sox forum I bet they don't know yet
9/30/2011 11:57:41 AM
9/30/2011 12:15:34 PM
Rat Soup read some books
9/30/2011 12:21:06 PM
apparently francona was citing team chemistry as an issue, saying the players hated each other and whined all the timeif only the players liked each other then maybe papelbon wouldn't have blown that game against the orioles. the players would've banded together like in a sports movie, and dustin pedroia would've given a rousing speech, and papelbon would've cried a little from inspiration, and the postseason would've been theirs.
9/30/2011 12:40:43 PM
lol
9/30/2011 12:47:25 PM
hahahahahahahahttp://www.onionsportsnetwork.com/articles/red-sox-sell-out-of-commemorative-collapse-2011-ha,26212/
9/30/2011 2:08:27 PM
^^^I like to visualize pappelbon crying anyway. couldn't have happened to a classier fellow.you see...that's what happens when you [boston] drill people on a last place team early in the year. they come back and beat you in the last game.[Edited on September 30, 2011 at 2:10 PM. Reason : .]

9/30/2011 2:28:38 PM
Article on NESN says its still not 100% whether he's gone or not yet. I normally don't put too much stock in team chemistry or whatever, but there was something off about the feeling I got from watching this team so much this year. Epstein also cited some player's conditioning as something which wasn't up to the standard they expected, the only players I could think of would've been Youk, Beckett and Lackey. It's gonna be a looooong offseason with so many articles coming out about what went wrong, etc, etc.
9/30/2011 2:36:04 PM
Just said they're "giving it some time" on the Van Pelt radio show. Also a lot of talks about pitchers drinking when they were off that day and how that's somehow a reason. I guess it's because we all know they weren't drinking when they were winning?
9/30/2011 2:40:29 PM
terry francona allowed grown men to consume alcohol on days when they weren't pitching. it's obvious he didn't have control over his players and that they didn't respect him and that's why this team fell apart the last month.
9/30/2011 3:27:23 PM
god cal ripken jr. just made the redsox look like a little league team.
9/30/2011 8:26:50 PM
all this time, I've never heard this mofo had the nickname "Tito"
9/30/2011 11:27:41 PM
Blame Canada!
10/2/2011 12:24:06 AM
they're reporting here in chicago that theo and tito will be coming to the cubs
10/2/2011 12:25:34 AM
i'd like to say whoever would take over for theo would probably just be really dumb about the way they spent the money, but with the kind of cash that team has it probably wouldn't make much of a differencebut i would love to see theo and cashman leave (even though the yankees want cashman back) and see both of those teams just piss money away on overvalued players who are past their prime and won't produce the way the front offices think they will, and then the rays and jays take over the AL eastand the orioles maintain business as usual since 98
10/2/2011 2:02:18 AM
Think of the children! Is nobody thinking of the children?
10/2/2011 10:34:04 AM
Also blame Bard. He was not very good over the last month.
10/2/2011 10:34:43 AM
They had ignored pitching since dealing after last season, so blaming anybody on their staff is a pretty moot point.
10/2/2011 1:40:28 PM
apparently theo's chances of leaving boston are 50/50. no real indication if he's leaning towards the cubs or not. leave the AL east, theo. hopefully the red sox won't get an idiot savant like ruben amaro.
