^^ haha exactly. ^ No one is saying burn his ass at the stake for missing spring practice. I would just rather see him there. We all support RW.[Edited on January 6, 2011 at 3:02 PM. Reason : ]

i didnt say i want to lose him, just that im largely indifferent for the reasons stated
1/6/2011 3:41:30 PM
i can understand the glennon now argument if you're looking at the long-term and want him game-seasoned for what we hope is a sick 2012 senior-laden campaign.but with next year's joke of a schedule, we gotta play our best hand. and that means russell.

So, w/ an easy schedule next year, we play RW (assuming he comes back)? But, if the schedule were tougher, we'd play Glennon?
1/6/2011 5:00:15 PM
We have an easier schedule next yearLet's make sure we don't fuck it up, let's make sure we've got a guy under center who we trustIt's not that hard guys
1/6/2011 5:01:33 PM
for once, ernie and I agree.its simple. reading comprehension ftw.

1/6/2011 5:04:39 PM
nah just some of the worst reading comprehension its like arguing with a woman.
1/6/2011 5:05:25 PM
finally, something we dont agree on.how can you not agree with that? The schedule is relatively easy and RW is the man for the moment...should he come back.
1/6/2011 5:05:29 PM
put your best man under center with a cake schedule andddddddddmaybe go 12-0? ACCCG? BCS?the possibilities are endless
1/6/2011 5:10:47 PM
Has nothing to do with "reading comprehension". RW is our best bet at winning. If we have an easy schedule, put him under center. If we have a hard schedule, put him under center. If he comes back, put him under center.

1/6/2011 5:49:10 PM
^more even.there's a thread over on IC where one of their long time posters did not understand the concept of rankings and ties in rankings.I.E.If you have the following records:NCSU: 3-0Duke: 2-1MD:2-1UNC: 2-1FSU: 2-1VT:0-3This person thought that VT was in 3rd place instead of 6th and he was calling people who said otherwise following voodoo math.
1/6/2011 5:54:20 PM
haha, yeah i don't think we could ever match the idiocy in chapel hill. at least we got that goin for us.
1/6/2011 5:57:56 PM
The idiocy is not in Chapel HillIt's in Waynesville, Pittsboro, Burlington and where ever else most of their "fans" reside
1/6/2011 6:19:08 PM
1/6/2011 9:07:34 PM
Don't talk down about Burlington! There are many Wolfpack that reside in Burlington and in the nearby cities, myself included.
1/6/2011 9:26:00 PM
He means the redneck unc-ch fans that never attended the school. Don't get your panties in a wad.
1/6/2011 9:29:32 PM
Yeah, I realize that. I don't understand why so many rednecks are UNC-CH fans anyway... what with all the hippie-ness that goes on around that campus. On topic, I'm personally hoping that Wilson comes back next year. I've grown into quite a Wilson fan. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if he'll ever be an NFL starter due to his size... if only he were a little taller. Skillwise, he's probably a better QB that most of NFL starters, or has the potential to become better at least.[Edited on January 6, 2011 at 9:34 PM. Reason : On Topic-ness]
1/6/2011 9:32:52 PM
^ haha that just gave me an idea...we should get a few buses together, go around to some rural NC towns, Saturday afternoon, peak walmart hours, and "bus" them to Chapel Hill and let them see the actual cess-pool of humanity they support. then just leave them there and let them fight it out with the hippies.
1/6/2011 9:46:41 PM
Id rather put them in a bus and drive them off a cliff.
1/6/2011 9:50:26 PM
Also load ramses with wal-mart nation and then crash the buses into their shitty belltower and do three birds with one stone

something similar has prob already been said, but i bet mike glennon is spending all his free time telling RW how badly the majors need a midfielder with speed who can kinda pitch and how short qb's never make it anywhere in the nfl except to the hospital w/ a concussion.[Edited on January 6, 2011 at 10:59 PM. 1/6/2011 11:10:32 PM
if glennon doesn't get to play this year we will never get a high quality qb recruit ever again.
1/6/2011 11:29:52 PM
No, we'll just never have depth and the program will not move forward. And for those of you thinking we are hating on Wilson, you are just plain stupid. That's not what we're doing at all. But given my choices of a rusty Wilson one more year, or letting our next QB get a full starting season against a weak schedule so he can get game experience and be prepared for his senior season, which will be tougher, and we can recruit and start developing our next big QB, then I choose the latter for the strength of the program. That is not in disrespect to Wilson and what he has meant to the program and to the school and that doesn't mean he won't be supported if he chooses to come back. It's just looking at the big picture and being tired of Orlando and "what could have been". Just look at the Davis/Stone/Evans/Beck era for an example of what happens when you don't create and develop depth at the position. If Russell comes back and we don't win a championship and then Glennon gets to play for 1 year after spending 4 on the bench and sucks ass because he never got real game experience before then---I don't want to hear jack shit from any of you about how the team sucks, Glennon sucks, TOB sucks, fire everyone, etc. Just sayin'.

I'm not worried about 2 seasons from now. RW gives us the best chance to win next season. Period. If we win the ACC next season I'll still be on a high the following season and won't be upset IF Glennon sucks.
1/7/2011 12:40:15 PM
^^^You hope a 4 star recruit doesn't even think of transferring when there is a strong possibility of him only playing 1 year? Unlike Wilson, Glennon actually has the size to go along with the strong suits of an NFL QB 2 (from what we have seen anyways).I like Russell as much as the next guy, and I'll be happy for him in whatever path he chooses. He has done a lot for NC State, and I can't thank him enough for that. I do, however, feel that Glennon playing next year is better for us in the long run.I also won't be mad is Russell returns...[Edited on January 7, 2011 at 12:51 PM. Reason : ^'s]

1/7/2011 1:15:13 PM
You're seriously going to compare exposure of QBs at NC State to those of USC?And you don't have to be related to a player to care about his future. I want our players to do well so it can enhance our program. I think Russell Wilson will always be thought of as a great college QB, but I honestly don't think he'll even have a shot at making a name for himself in the pros. I certainly hope I'm wrong, though.
